What has E-puben brought to our student life?

When I moved to Umeå in 2021 I didn’t know anybody who lived here. My Inspark was heavily affected by COVID so meeting people wasn’t the easiest. Due to the regulations you had to book a table at E-puben to be able to visit, one friday myself and one of my classmates managed to get a booking each for a total of 18 people. As we really didn’t know people from outside our faddergroup we created a messenger group with everybody in our class and invited them to join us at E-puben. During that EPP is when I for the first time met the guys who i hang out with today. During the semester the restrictions eased up and now everybody who wanted to go to an EPP had to queue. During my first and second semester I met so many new people at the E-puben that I now call my friends.

It’s my second year involved in the pub. This year as the vice head of E-puben, and for me being engaged in the pub committee I’ve had a lot of fun, meeting a lot of new people that I may never have met or gotten to know otherwise. It has become a little family both years and I love to have that group to hang out with and improve the pub together. Other than being involved in the pub committee I love to come to the pub to have a beer and hang out after a week of school work, you meet people outside of your class and the atmosphere is exactly the vibe I wan’t after a week in school.

The pub is runned by twelve students who all want our pub to be the best on campus. These people are a part of a committee under HHUS who have different roles in trying to create the best student experience for all students at Umeå University.
