CHIEF’S COLUMN
from EKBLADET 02/23
by Ekbladet
My aspiration for the summer can be summed up in these three words: ice cream, sun and friends. It was difficult to stick to the magical number three, there is so much good about summer... anyways, I am crossing my fingers and hoping for the best! It will also be my first time at Brännbollsyran. Fun.

Atthe moment I am writing this, I am looking out of the window and seeing a gray, cold sky, from which a few brave snowflakes are falling. The temperature is probably around zero degrees, and my feet are cold... Yes, even though it’s not here yet, the theme of this issue is, of course: Summer. Because it will be here soon after all! I love summer. Not just only the weather and the beautiful green surroundings, but the feeling that comes with it. Yes, there is something magical about it, the summer, something that cannot be found during other seasons, no matter how much I am searching.
At this moment, I also realize that I have almost completed my first year at uni, and my first year in Umeå. Time has flown by. I try to grasp it, but it slips through my fingers. Maybe I should try to be more present in the moment, as everyone says. It has been a pretty nice year after all, with a lot of new things and challenges. I take with me new knowledge, new relationships and new fun memories.
Enough about my predilection for summer now. In this issue of Ekbladet, as Rickard and the principle wrote about AI in their columns, we applied the AI theme on our graphic profile, creating the majority of the visuals with help from AI. We are also introducing a completely new concept; Summer talks! Yes, it is of course my creative mästerist Elliot who has had a masterstroke and it resulted in the contribution on page 22-23. Feel free to check it out, where you can listen to students at the School of Business and Economics talking about this and that, narrow and wide. In addition, you will find quite classic content. But do not miss to check out page 16-19 where you can find all the information about the inspark this autumn!
One last time; gosh, how fun with summer! I want to wish you all a really nice holiday, and I hope you have a lot of fun plans. See you again in the fall!
