Wow—what a summer it’s been! August was full of connection, community, and celebration for the Doug Tarry Homes team.
We kicked things off by networking at local events and taking a well-deserved break with our annual company golf day. Despite the heat, many of you continued to visit our Open Houses— thank you for showing up and engaging with us each week.
Our team also toured Elgin Carpet One right here in St. Thomas, where we had the chance to learn more about their outstanding products and craftsmanship. Staying connected with trusted partners like them ensures we continue to build homes that stand the test of time.
Community giving was another highlight of August. We participated in the All Hands on Deck Food Drive, collecting donations for our local food banks. We also partnered once again with Geerlinks, Impressions Printing, and the St. Thomas Police Service for the annual Stuff the Cruiser event at Walmart, where the generosity of our community filled a cruiser with much-needed school supplies for local students.
And exciting news from Eagle Ridge—the Greg Tarry Park is officially underway! Installation of both the junior and senior playgrounds, as well as a new sports court, is set to begin this September.

We always try to have a mix of materials when it comes to the facade, changing full brick to brick skirts with a mix of siding and shake allows for different textures and personality. Muffin-Tin Lasagna Cups
INGREDIENTS:
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 carton (15 ounces) part-skim ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend, divided
1 tablespoon olive oil
24 wonton wrappers
1 jar (24 ounces) garden-style pasta sauce
Minced fresh parsley, optional
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°. In a bowl, mix egg, ricotta cheese and 1-1/4 cups Italian cheese blend.
2. Generously grease 12 muffin cups with oil; line each with a wonton wrapper. Fill each with 1 tablespoon ricotta mixture and 1-1/2 tablespoons pasta sauce. Top each with a second wrapper, rotating corners and pressing down centers. Repeat ricotta and sauce layers. Sprinkle with remaining cheese blend.
3. Bake until cheese is melted, 20-25 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.
