The Deputy City Marshals have had great success deploying to areas in need of additional police presence through our specialized FLEX Team. FLEX Team’s primary function is to identify and suppress criminal activity through adding visible patrols— whether in vehicles or on foot—when and where crime is expected, plain-clothes investigations, and problem-solving efforts. FLEX intentionally addresses juvenile delinquency, gangs, quality of life concerns, and violent crime in our downtown corridor through proactive policing that includes community engagement and working with our local elected officials. Our Department of Public Safety lives by the city’s core purpose of “Building Community to Make Life Better.” If you have this same dedication to our community, consider joining our team.
