Being an artist these days is a very exciting thing so are you ready? There are great opportunities for artist today. Many don’t know that the playing field is level many still are playing the old school way like standing on a street corner for someone will come along and say, you sound swell let me make you a star. Today’s record companies are looking for you to be able to sell records before the look at you. So Many artists don’t believe that, they feel that talent sells. I have been in this business for a long time and I have seen a lot of stuff like potentially great artist who won’t invest in themselves because they feel they are on the auction block to be sold to the highest bidder. Unfortunately we live in the real world where we have to prepare and invest in ourselves. Right now the industry is wide open to anyone with a vision, who isn’t afraid to grind. Artists get in while you can because everyone is catching on I mean those in high places, what will happen when the doors close?

Jody Joe is a positive aspiring artist from Durham, NC. Jody got a taste of hip hop while watching his older brother writing lyrics, and making beats and mixing down music. After Jody’s brother went away to college, Jody began to experiment by writing his own lyric, and using the studio skills he learned from his brother. In a recent interview I had with Jody, Jody said,” I really started rapping in middle school. I was told by so many people that I have and gift and I should do something with it”. At age 16 Jody was given a microphone and began devoting a lot of time to his craft. At age 18, Jody released his first single in April, 2011. The single is entitled “You know” featured on a mix tape with Yo Gotti, “Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame and many others. The single did well on Amazon and is still getting air play in Canada. The single that followed is entitled “Mama which made it to the top 100 downloads in Amazon. Currently Jody’s single called” Motivation” is airing on Slamin Fatbeatz Radio and other stations. This track too, is on its way to being a hit.

The mystery of who shot Tupac can be finally laid to rest.

A man has admitted to shooting rap star Tupac Shakur in 1994 after allegedly being paid $2,500 dollars by James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond inside Manhattan's Quad Studios in November of 1994.

Dexter Isaac, a former friend of Rosemond, is an inmate currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other offenses.

Isaac came forward Wednesday (June 15th) with the information on the eve of what would be Tupac's 40th birthday.

He confessed to his involvement in the November 30th, 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur. Jimmy Henchman identified him in a statement, relating to Henchman's indictment for dealing numerous kilos of cocaine.

"I want mistake said "I mothers

to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman]," Dexter Isaac am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] some closure."

Henchman, who is currently on the run from Federal officials, claimed that Dexter Isaac, along with other incarcerated inmates were cooperating with the government in an investigation of his alleged drug dealing activities.

"If the government is relying on informants like Winston "Winnie" Harris, a convicted drug dealer and Jamaican deportee,

who came to me and motioned via hand signal that he was forced to wear a wire and begged me to skip town or Dexter Isaac who is serving life in prison plus 30 years, then I'm sure I will not be offered a fair trial," Henchman said in a statement released in May of 2011.

Dexter Isaac decided to confess to the robberies to prove Jimmy Henchman's involvement, in addition to clearing his conscious for the shooting.

Isaac said he was comfortable going on record relating to the robbery and shooting, since the statute of limitations had expired. Legally, no one can be prosecuted for the assault at this time.

Isaac was a lifelong friend of Jimmy Henchmen, who helped the former mogul, set up his first company, Henchman Entertainment, in 1989.

The shooting on November 30th, was the start of a deadly feud that resulted in the murders of both Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. Their murders have never been solved. Isaac was indicted by the government in 1998 and was subsequently sentenced to life in prison for murder, robbery, fraud and witness intimidation charges. Source: Allhiphop.com

Many people have asked the question who is DJ Puddee. She is the owner of Slamin Fatbeatz Media & Promotion. DJ Puddee consults and promotes independent artist via Internet radio, U stream and artist promotional packages. The purpose is to create a buzz through the digital medium to industry contacts. DJ Puddee has worked in the communications industry for 26 years. She got her start in radio in radio in 80’s right after graduation. She worked in major radio markets and Corporate America. She worked for Verizon Wireless as a consultant and sales agent for many years. Her first love, radio began to call her again. Her dream was always to own and operate her own radio station, with today’s technology Puddee is able to live her dream. She is also a spoken word artist and owns her own record label, with two cd’s under her belt. Being an artist has taught her a lot about the industry, and with all that she has learned, she consults and puts together strategies to help artist win the industry.
