CYRIL KONGO (b. 1969, Toulouse, France). He started doing graffiti as an urban street artist in 1986. In the early years of his practice, he was a solely street artist; he produced large frescoes, whether on walls or other urban constructs, throughout the world. These artworks, which unfortunately can now only be found in photos and film, gained him recognition on the international stage. His twenty years of experience in the French Graffiti scene as a member of the MAC CREW collective allowed him to hone his mastery in this discipline and earned him the title as one of the early representatives of the world’s Graffiti scene; introducing graffiti as a genre.

Kongo’s works gained international recognition from the many national and international festivals he participated in. He held numerous solo exhibitions, and his art was also featured in several gallery exhibitions. Most of his works are now part of exclusive private collections. Cyril Kongo has worked with D Gallerie since 2013, where he held his Solo exhibition A stroll in Paris with Kongo. In 2019, Kongo launched his solo show Les Ephémères de Cyril Kongo (Kongo’s Studio) in Jakarta with D Gallerie. Being recognized as a world-acclaimed artist, prestige brands began to commission Kongo for the creation of luxury goods. Some of his notable collaborations include a silk scarf (a carré) with Hermès in 2011, the RM 68-01 TOURBILLON CYRIL KONGO watch with Richard Mille, and a pâte de Verre spray-paint can with crystal manufacturer Daum in 2016. In 2018, Kongo had a collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld for the 2018 Chanel Métier d’Art collection shown in New York.

DIDIN JIROT'S (b. 1998, Indonesia) artistic practice draws from daily observations and Balinese tradition where he transposes them into contemporary imagery. His body of works that often employ the use of resin, automotive paint and varying strains of metal, are for him tools that help in his communication of aspects of things that are metaphorical; and his practice, a ritualistic procession of selfintrospection in navigating faith and spirituality. For him the artwork is a thought actualisation, as something absolute and not to be doubted.

FIAMETTA GABRIELA

FIAMETTA GABRIELA is an artist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, with a Diploma in Visual Communication. She once worked as a graphic designer at an advertising company, an art instructor, and currently a full-time artist, freelance graphic designer, and housewife.

Gaby is an interdisciplinary artist who works on a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, installations, videos, and performance. Her work is embedded in her daily life, meaning it touches upon mundane subjects. Inspired by everyday objects/materials, she discovers the absurdity, negligence, resistance, remedy, and dialogue between humankind, their surroundings, and themselves. Relationships are made through conversations, whether it is approval, rejection, or just pure nonsense. Dealing with the order and disorder, which is based on the thought and intuition of a particular theme/object, has become one of the main aspects of Gaby’s working process. The pushing and pulling of gestures, patterns, and language which develops into its distinct character.

Gaby has held several solo exhibitions, including Mother as an Image at Lir Space, Yogyakarta (2018), Setengah Isi, Setengah Kosong at Galeri Kertas, Depok (2018) and Ladang di Bawah Kelupasan at Selasar Sunaryo, Bandung and Artotel, Jakarta in 2014.

INTEGRATING his signature style of explosive color tone and mood, Fivust has developed a distinct style that carries a fun element of surprise everywhere. Whether on the streets, in galleries, and more.

Fivust admires a human alter ego’s spectrum of possibility and flexibility in creating his works. For him, it is fascinating that each has its own alter ego that can be expressed in many ways. Moreover, it develops into something that has grown with them from time to time.

Colliding his style with the subject, Fivust puts up a new way of its interpretation. Through his playful choice, his works will inflict childlike nostalgia and memories amongst the viewers. Fivust pays homage to the usual, boring, and mundane routine by giving it some spice, fun, and playfulness. Giving it life as it should have. Using various colors, shapes, lines, and crazy ideas in developing his characters and style - on many media and with multiple tools - Fivust works with unstoppable liveliness.

IABADIOU PIKO is an artist based on Yogyakarta. Through his abstract expression, Piko analyzes and outlines perceptual experiences. With patterns of intuition and free association, he marks psychological and philosophical behavior that alters one’s feelings and character. His process of experimentation allowed him to better understand the concepts of time, circumstance, and space. Piko’s works mainly revolve around both material and color exploration. Releasing his inner child is a part of Piko’s artistic process; freedom, flow, and spontaneity when scribbling, piling, blocking, and mixing different materials. He observes his works just like when he introspects himself. He repeats this process until he feels satisfied with his work.

Piko’s works are spontaneous-with no prior planning. There is an element of surprise that comes with this working process. As he refines his work, he creates markings based on fragments of reality, memories, imagination, atmosphere, and familiar settings as a method of synthesizing ideas, feelings, distortion, and projection from the soul. Pico’s works are a visual journey that investigates the momentum of aesthetic nature and mentality with human relationships and their society. He explores complex emotions such as tension, fear, fragility, loneliness, anger, happiness, sadness, wildness, mysteriousness, destruction, badness, addiction, and silent death.

SONI IRAWAN

SONI IRAWAN (b. 1975, Yogyakarta, Indonesia) As an artist with a formal art education and as a musician, (he was one of the founders of Yogyakarta experimental band Seek Six Sick), Soni Irawan has different approach to create his artworks. His art is greatly influenced by the spirit and energy of rock music, but also his printmaking background, especially in the creation of woodcut prints. His paintings on canvas or wood pieces are filled with spontaneous brush strokes and have sketchy street-art appearance. The subject matters are however largely personal, revolve around his family, his social environment and an effort to capture the spirit of human survival in everyday life.

WAYAN YUSA DIRGANTARA was born and raised in Bali then studied at ISI Yogyakarta and graduated in 2021. The panorama of the beach with white sand and beautiful limestone cliffs became the initial attraction of Yusa's works, coastal activities and childhood memories play an important role in the process of creation. Environmental issues are also addressed by Yusa in her works.

As a migrant living in Yogyakarta, Yusa releases her longing for the coast, recalling simple fragments that pop into her head and rearranging them onto the canvas. Memories are certainly not perfect, there are sides that are blurred when recalled, therefore abstraction becomes the most appropriate language to express that feeling. The emergence of fragments in the form of colors, textures and textures represent the longing for the beach panorama. In her work, Yusa will continue to reflect on nature.

Yusa actively exhibits in Bali, Yogyakarta, Jakarta and South Korea. Her first solo exhibition titled My Space was held in 2020. Her next solo exhibition was held at Artotel Thamrin, Jakarta and at Space 1326 Gallery, Seoul, South Korea in 2022. Followed by a solo presentation at TIAF (Tamra International Art Fair), Jeju, South Korea. Yusa was also a finalist of the UOB Painting of the Year in 2021.
