Setting Mid 70’s in Brooklyn NY, in a pre-war building.

Directors Notes Sunset Park is a universal story that is relevant to families from all walks and traditions. Our best intentions often have consequences that seem to backfire and lead to tragic outcomes. In our humanity, we strive to do our best to rise above the pain and remorse of the tragedies in life. But no matter how difficult it is on us or our families, if we love each other and are honest with each other, we can weather the storms together. The story we share with you today is as genuine a human tale as any ever told. It shows us at our best and at our worst. It also shows us that there is no tragedy that cannot be overcome with a little love and forgiveness. We will strive to give you as honest a performance as this script is entitled to. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.

Gallery Wall Featured Artist Laura Wright

Laura Mae Wright, Marco Island Artist After an amazing career as a professional photographer and studio owner in Atlanta, Laura packed away the cameras and a new creative journey began. Painting has released a joy that far exceeds photography and every day I learn something new about my ability to look inside and transfer my feelings to canvas. The paintings in this show pay homage to my female ancestors, who recycled their clothing to make the most beautiful and useful of items, quilts. It is with loving thoughts of those women that most of these works have been started with remainder paint from my palette, adding my own touch of recycling to the process. I paint for my soul and hope you see something that touches yours. --Laura Mae Wright LauraMaeWright.art@gmail.com www.squareup.com/market/Laura-Mae-Wright-artist
