TDAC TAKES ON NYC

Our TDAC dancers recently returned from an unforgettable trip to New York City, and what an incredible experience it was! From the aweinspiring Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular to the magic of Broadway’s The Lion King, every moment was packed with inspiration and excitement. Our dancers took world-class classes at Broadway Dance Center and Alvin Ailey, learning from some of the industry’s best. The trip wasn’t just about dance it was about making memories, bonding as a team, and soaking in the magic of the Big Apple. We are so proud of our dancers for embracing every opportunity and representing TDAC with such passion and energy!

If you are in one of our Monday recreational classes we wanted to let you know that the Studio will be closed on Monday January 6th due to a staff outing that will take the staff and TDAC Dancers away from the studio that evening. With that being said, we are offering make up class time for all impacted by the closing. CLICK HERE to view the make up class times we are able to offer you and, if you plan to attend the make up times, please add your name to the slot you plan to attend. Both Creative Movement and Combo classes have time slots to choose from. Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as the staff heads to a surprise event alongside some of our older dancers. If you have any further questions, let us know!

DANCER OF THE MONTH

This Months “Dancer of The Month” has been selected based on their dedication and improvement in class as well as their kindness towards their peers, families, and staff through their positive impact they make on the studio environment as a whole. This month, The Dance Attic will donate $50 to the Tri Area Ministry Food Pantry!

This Months Dancer Of The Month Is...

Talia Nelson

SENIOR FEATURE NICOLE FLORES

I could try to pick a favorite dance memory, but the truth is it’s hard to pick just one Every memory and every day I got to go to dance class and have a place to go away from any distractions is a favorite memory. It’s not just the competitions or trophies, but it’s the ability to go somewhere and devote time and energy into it I think that’s the best memory

My advice to younger dancers would be to just go Make sure to go consistently to dance even when days are more challenging Sometimes, putting energy and focus into something else, like dancing, is the best way to express yourself and let go of any negativity or stress of daily life Dance doesn’t just teach you how to move, but it also teaches you to keep moving forward and always striving for more So cherish every day you go to dance class.

BLOOD DRIVE SUCCESS

Thank you to all who were able to come out to TDA’s donor site for our recent blood drive on Dec 9th. During the holidays, and specifically this year – Red Cross is in critical need for blood, and again we am truly thankful to those who came out and joined TDA for this event.

ALUMNI EVENT SUCCESS

TDA hosted our 4th Alumni event where we hosted TDA Alumni dancers in classes of different styles taught by our very own TDA Alumni and staff member, Miss Heather Hoy. This event was a huge success with lots of laughter, networking, and sharing what impact dance, and specifically TDA has had on each of our different walks of life. We look forward to hosting more events like this one in the future. We have a Facebook page for alumni to join to stay up to date and connect with one another. The QR code to join is here, so please pass along to any and all alumni you might know!

COSTUME UPDATE

We hope to have all TDA Costumes passed out in February. There are some delays with shipping for a few pieces, as costume companies are still facing some setbacks. The document linked below is still in progress, but will allow you to view what your costumes and accessories are for your dancers’ routines. Please do not email with any questions regarding costumes until after costumes have been passed out When receiving costumes you will be responsible for all alterations and costume needs If there are any costume issues, we need to know immediately in order to help you rectify your problems and make alteration suggestions for you. We need to know within a week of you receiving your costumes. In the February Newsletter, there will be a document for anyone with costume issues to inform of us of those issues so we as a staff can address them together. Always remember, too big is able to be fixed, if something is too small, we will offer suggestions on how to move forward

Main St.) with Ms. Hallie’s photography set up in studio 5.

TDA Recreational Group Pictures

All Dancers will be taking a group picture for each dance that has a costume. We need all of our dancers in attendance for our group shots for memories, (even if you are not purchasing the group photo, you will be in the photo.) The schedule for pictures is broken up by class, where all dancers will take their class group photo first, and then any dancer who has paid for their individual photo, will take that photo directly following the group photo. All group photos are available to purchase for $10 per photo. There will be one class photo selected by Local Eye Photography as the group photo available for access

TDA Recreational Individual Pictures

Dancers are able to sign up for individual pictures/poses in however many costumes you wish In the schedule we have allotted time for dancers to pose for their individual pictures directly following the group photo for each costume. We will need to know in advance what costumes dancers would like to purchase their pictures in to make a finalized schedule With that in mind, please see the Early Bird pricing for TDA Recreational Individual Pictures. On the Google Form linked below you will let us know what costumes you will purchase individual pictures in Based on your responses, picture fees will be posted directly to your TDA Jackrabbit Accounts.

Dancers will take group photos in every costume.

Dancers will be changing from costume to costume in the other studios for their assigned photo slots

All photos will be distributed via digital download access to your own devices for you to download, export, and share without watermarks or logos As Ms Hallie is one of our own, we ask that you respect her work and the process of purchasing/sharing photos of your dancer

TDA staff will pick the best of the images to share with you and you will get access to all of those images.

Dancers will be taught their picture poses in class and will be assigned poses for each of their costumes

All Dancers will be doing the same poses per each costume for these images, as we have done in the past.

TDA RECREATIONAL PICTURES EARLY BIRD PRICING
