Dancer Of the Month:

Each month TDA Staff chooses four dancers from all age groups to be the Dancers of the Month. These dancers are chosen based on their attitude and effort, and have all shown their instructors that they are hard workers with a good positive attitude.

Each Dancer of the Month will get a sign to display in their front yard stating that they are the Dance Attic's dancer of the month as well as $10 off their tuition for the following month after returning their sign. You will be able to keep the sign for one month so that all of your neighbors can see it! This is great recognition for our dancers as well as getting the word out about our studio! You will receive your sign the first week of the month and return it the last week of the month.

Congratulations to our March recipients! We are so proud of you!

March Backstage Highlight:

Hey TDA! I’m Lily Kindsvatter and I’m a senior this year. This year is also my first at TDA, and I’m so excited to be here! For this month’s backstage spotlight, I’m going to be talking about competition! TDAC’s first competition of the year just happened, which also just happened to be my first competition ever! I had so much fun. For me, the weekend started on Sunday with production. I practiced a bunch the night before to make sure that I had everything down. I was doing the routines in my sleep (literally, I had dreams about practicing the choreo!), and even though I knew I was prepared and had everything ready, I was still pretty nervous. Finally, we arrived in Rocky Mount and it was go-time. We warmed up and got set backstage, and as we all stood in the wings, waiting for our number to be called, the nerves fizzled out. Suddenly, we were walking onstage and getting into our first formation, and I was confident. In that moment, I knew I was ready for everything else to come. We went out there and killed it! One of my favorite parts of the day was the downtime. There was a big gap of time between my last group dance and my solo. I got to sit with my mom for a bit and watch some of the other amazing groups, and cheer on the other TDAC dancers. I also had fun just hanging out with the others that were waiting for their dance to be called. Sometimes it has been stressful trying to balance TDA with my other extracurriculars, but getting to perform these dances has made it all worth it. I cannot wait to compete again especially with all the class dances at Inspire competition this month!
