Project Brief

Supersonic Express is an international luxury airline. The branding implements cool-toned colors and eye-catching graphics to highlight the naming and theme behind it, which is space-age and exploration. Supersonic Express promotes the ability to travel fast and be entertaining for passengers of all ages. The website serves as both a promotional and informative tool to market the services provided in flight.

Maria Holloway, 33

Maria frequently travels for work and is able to bring her family along with her. Typically, she finds herself and her family in the most mundane flights devoid of anything stimulating. Maria wants to find an international airline that she will love and be able to pledge her loyalty to. She is hoping that a different airline will be able to provide her family with fun activities, great accommodations, and privacy.

Brittany Robertson, 24

Brittany gets to meet new people at her job all the time and loves to accomodate them. She longs for the ability to travel the world, just like the many people that stay at her hotel. Unfortunately, her current income doesn’t allow her to travel. Brittany wants to work for an international airline that will provide her with a great income, fun opportunities, and a wholesome community.

Malakai Johnson, 8

Malakai Johnson is going on his annual trip to England this year to visit his grandparents, which he always enjoys. But Malakai always hates the boring flight to and from England. Him and his family always fly on the boring planes, the ones where there are barely any activities. This year, his parents saved up their money and told him they booked through a new airline that he’d have lots of fun flying with.

This company utilizes fun colors and graphics to appeal to mothers and young children alike. The target audience for this brand is young adults, mainly mothers, who are on the go and in need of a quick solution for feeding their child.

Project Brief

Billings Bobcats is a baseball team based in Billings, Montana. This team represents their country’s patriotism and their mascot in their brand’s color palette. The four logos reflect the cutthroat nature of the team mascot and the team players. The wayfinding and environmental graphics are simplistic for the purpose of easy navigation and most are composed of acrylic, metal, and vinyl for durability.

Ukiyo is a subscription box service catering mainly to teenagers and young adults battling grief. The warm and cool colors in the branding are meant to both calm and excite simultaneously. Ukiyo means “floating world”, which is what the use of the cloud in the logo hints back to. Items in the box are tailored to each subscriber’s needs and serve the purpose of aiding the subscriber.

The brand strives for being one-of-a-kind and uses their mascot, the monkey, to encompass that. The website prototype displays their products for marketing purposes.

The magazine spread “A Future Designed by Algorithmic Art” is designed to be minimalistic but engaging. The pictures included are placed strategically to subtly tie each page together with the main color present being shades of blue. Two sans-serif typefaces were utilized to aid in legibility and maintain a refined, modern, and technical feeling that ties back to the topic of the article itself.

This icon set is centered around the theme of Greek mythology, specifically, Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Athena, and Aphrodite. Each deity has an icon of a headpiece and an icon representative of their powers or story. The design of the infographic poster represents the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, a temple formerly dedicated to Athena. The colors between each column symbolize Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades’ domain.

Project Brief

Chromotone is an app that specializes in color theory, specifically regarding makeup. The app utilizes the undertones of a user’s skin, hair, and eyes in the camera to compose a custom palette, then recommends shade matches of products. The user is kept in mind, which is why buttons are easy to see and the user has a myriad of options to choose from to make their experience truly personal.

As a budding teenager, Summer would like to learn how to wear makeup. She has never worn makeup before and has taken tips from her sister, but would like to find a tool that can help her understand what her shade matches are and what products would work with her acne-prone skin. She is clueless and on a low budget. She wants to find a tool so that she doesn’t have to ask for help or do her own research.

Mateo Ortiz, 23

As a stage actor, Mateo learned early on that makeup can play a crucial part in embodying the characters he portrays. He believe he will be famous one day and wants to learn how to execute more versatile and clean makeup looks. Mateo isn’t passionate about makeup, but he believes that it is an essential part to his job and that finding a tool to help him understand it will help him achieve stardom.

Sabrina Deon, 28

Sabrina is a young influencer who makes her income posting tutorials with makeup. Following her passion for makeup, she started her own business and began doing makeup for clients. Unfortunately, she doesn’t feel like her clients are entirely satisfied when they leave. She would like to find a tool that can help her understand her clients and shade match them better so that they keep returning to her.
