A MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Welcome to the latest edition of your members magazine Momentum. I hope this edition finds all members, guests and visitors alike well and still enjoying the many benefits and promotions Your Club has to offer.

Over the past few months, your Club has supported a variety of charities, community groups & fundraising endeavours. We’ve included just some of the recent highlights on Page 3 & 4 of this edition, such as The Townsville Women’s Centre and Cancer Council in May, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in June. We were also proud to celebrate & honour our many volunteers for Volunteer Week in May. As part of our Charity Raffle & Community Program, your Club helps support over 50 community organisations – I hope that you are as proud of our Club as I am of these endeavours.
July also marks the start of the 2024 NRLW season and we are all looking forward to the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NRLW team taking the field once again since their inaugural year in 2023. For both our NRL & NRLW sides, your Club is THE place to be to support your Team. Be sure to pencil the 17th August into your calendar, for an epic double header at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. At the time of writing, your North Queensland
Cowboys sit within the Top 8 on the ladder and appear to be gathering momentum as we head into the pointy end of the season – let’s go Cowboys!

PINK DAY
On the 21st June Your Club hosted a MASSIVE PINK DAY in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Staff and patrons were encouraged to dress up in the best pink outfits they had. Pink could be seen in every direction you looked throughout the Club from outfits to decorations. We raised over $2,000 for this amazing cause. As a Community Club, we’re so proud to facilitate events like these that allow the whole community and our staff to get involved.
VIP COWBOYS EXPERIENCE
In May, our staff were given the opportunity to attend a money-can’t-buy VIP experience at Queensland Country Bank Stadium and the North Queensland Cowboys Hutchinson Builders Centre. They toured the dressing sheds, the field and discovered the ins and outs of the Centre, led by Cowboys personality Gavin Cooper. The crew even had the opportunity to have a Q & A with some of the team and coaching staff, before finishing their experience with breakfast overlooking the Cowboys training fields.

VOLUNTEERS WEEK
May 2024 was Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering, National Volunteer Week!
National Volunteer Week recognises the vital support that millions of volunteers in our country provide to their communities and encourages people to consider volunteering.
Whilst May is now behind us, we couldn’t miss this opportunity to highlight the incredible work volunteers do.
Your Club is proud to help support over 50 community organisations
and charities a year just through our Charity Raffle & Community Program alone. As a part of this program, volunteers donate their own time to visit the Club and raise funds for their cause. Whether this be through selling raffle tickers or running charity bingo, volunteers play an integral part in the weekly running of our community Club.
Pictured are just a few of the hardworking volunteers we’ve hosted this year already. If you come across a volunteer this week, be sure to tell them what a great job they’re doing!
FUNDRAISING FOR THE WOMENS CENTRE TOWNSVILLE
On the 17th of May, Your Club held a special edition of Raffle Riot to raise funds for the The Women's Centre Townsville. We're thrilled to announce that a massive $1679 was raised for this incredible community group.
As a Community Club, we're proud to be supporting local community groups, such as the Townsville Women's Centre, who provide free outreach services to the Townsville local region. These services include counselling, health and wellbeing services, sexual assault support and specialist homelessness services for women who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, or escaping domestic and family violence.
A special thank you to artist Anita Wilkie for showcasing your Strong Women exhibition and for volunteering your time, thank you to all that was involved in donating for this incredible community group.
BIGGEST MORNING TEA
On 23rd May we held our Biggest Morning Tea in Star Graze Cafe, where all proceeds from cake sales along with $1 from every hot drink sold, went towards the Cancer Council.
We’re thrilled to announce $515 was raised, all thanks to our patrons visiting Star Graze Cafe! One lucky Member also won a MASSIVE Goodie Hamper, courtesy of Baskets of Delight.

NRLW 2024 SEASON LAUNCH
Your Club is getting ready to celebrate the 2024 season of the North Queensland Cowboys NRLW team!
Round 1 of the NRLW season kicks off on the 27th July, with the women taking on the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks away at PointsBet Stadium.
Your Club is THE place to be to support the team, with all the games shown live on our HUGE big screens for the very best atmosphere. Members will also have the chance to win a NRLW Jersey signed by the team on every home & away game!
The highlight of the team’s bid for a maiden premiership will surely be Round 4, with an epic double header clash for both the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NRLW & NRL teams on Saturday 17th August. The NRLW team will go head-to-head with the NRLW Gold Coast Titans at 12:45pm, followed by the NRL team taking on the Canberra Raiders at 5:30pm - you don’t want to miss this one! Supporters can also catch the NRLW team in action at Queensland Country Bank Stadium against the Dragons on the 4th August, the Tigers on the 7th September and the Knights on the 21st September.
