Welcome to the Winter Edition of Momentum!
We’ve had an exciting few months here at Your Club, and as we move into the second half of 2025, there’s plenty more on the horizon for members to enjoy.
Great value dining continues to be at the heart of what we do, and this quarter we’re proud to unveil a brand new menu at Star Graze! With fresh, seasonal selections and even more variety, it’s the perfect spot whatever the occasion – whether you’re after a quick snack, a late-night bite, a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. Over at Match Restaurant & Grill, our member favourites and daily great-value specials are still going strong – remember to always present your membership card to enjoy your discount and earn Cash Back Points through our Score More Rewards program.
We’re also celebrating some impressive staff milestones this quarter! Congratulations to Podium Café Supervisor Tilly on 10 years of service, and to Business Development Manager Helen and Kitchen Hand Karina on reaching an incredible 15 years with the Club. Their passion, commitment and dedication have made a lasting impact, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they continue to contribute.
Giving back to our community continues to be one of the most meaningful parts of what we do at the Club. This quarter, among many important initiatives, we were proud to support the Biggest Morning Tea and our annual Pink Day – raising funds and awareness for cancer research and support services. These events bring our staff and members together and shine a light on causes that have touched many of our lives. It’s always inspiring to see the generosity, spirit and solidarity of our Club community on full display.
On the field, excitement is building with the start of the 2025 NRLW season, and we’ll be cheering on our women’s team every step of the way. Meanwhile, the NRL season continues to deliver plenty of thrilling moments, and the Club remains the best place to catch all the live footy action, celebrate every try, and support Your Team – home or away.
Looking ahead, there are a couple of key events you won’t want to miss. Our Xmas in July gaming giveaway brings a mid-year dose of festive cheer, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs. And before we know it, Father’s Day will be here – and we’ll have plenty of ways to help you spoil Dad with great food, drinks and family time at Your Club.

What's your favourite memory from your time working at the Club?
Definitely the Car Park Party for the 2015 Grand Final – or any of our Car Park Parties!
Such an amazing atmosphere to be a part of. It’s also not just one memory, it’s about all of friendship, laughs and camaraderie we share on a day-to-day basis.
What's your go-to order from the Club menu?
Very tight race between the Teriyaki Schnitzel or the Crumbed Steak.
What advice would you give to someone just starting at the Club?
Iron your shirt, never lean, and always look busy.
What do you like to do when you're not at work?
Spend time with my partner, family, puppies & friends, travel, run my side hustle Joyn Us, pole dance, Muay Thai, learn Italian and sleep.
Helen is a passionate, hardworking, and deeply dedicated member of the Club’s management team who consistently goes above and beyond. Her innovative mindset and commitment to creating efficiencies have made a lasting impact—not only on improving operations but also enhancing the experience for every member and patron who walks through our doors. Helen’s drive for excellence is evident in everything she does, and her contributions over the past 15 years have made her an invaluable part of our Cowboys family.

What's your favourite memory from your time working at the Club?

"Boss" Clint, because I have the utmost respect for him.

Without a doubt the carbonara.
What advice would you give to someone just starting at the Club?
Work hard and look after your team.
What do you like to do when you're not at work?
Enjoying a cold rumbo and playing the pokies.
What was your first job at the Club? Kitchen Hand.
When I started at the Club, Karina was one of the first people I met and I was instantly struck by her loyalty and work ethic.
A moment that sums up her dedication was during the 2019 floods. Unable to drive due to floodwaters, she didn’t even call ahead, she simply waded through the water until she could find a road and hail a taxi to get to work. I’m sure she kept quiet because she knew we’d have told her to stay home. Karina has become like family to me, and it’s people like her who make me proud to lead our great Club.

A memorable moment involving Chef Tom, Chef Sam, a fish, and an unexpected eyebrow mishap—still makes us laugh to this day!

What advice would you give to someone just starting at the Club?
Work hard and look after your team.
What do you like to do when you're not at work?
Hang out with my dog, reminding her every minute how much I love her.
I’m super excited to congratulate Tilly (known by many nicknames around the club over the years) on an incredible 10 years at the Leagues Club!
Tilly started back when our only café was Pizzaz, played a big part in the successful launch and transition to Star Graze, and is now the friendly face of Podium.
Through all the changes over the years, one thing has stayed the same — Tilly’s smiling face and bubbly, contagious attitude. It’s hard not to enjoy coming in to work when you know Tilly’s there.
Her passion and dedication to our customers have been a huge part of the Club’s success.

On Thursday 22 May, our community came together at Star Graze Café and Podium Café for our Biggest Morning Tea, and what an incredible morning it was.
This year’s event was especially meaningful as we dedicated the day to our much-loved team member and friend, Patrice, who sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this year. In her honour, our staff proudly wore her favourite colour, purple, as we rallied together to raise funds and awareness.
Thanks to your generosity, we raised an amazing $1,875 for Cancer Council Australia – helping support the 150,000 Australians diagnosed with cancer each year. Every hot drink, every sweet treat, every donation made a difference.
A special shout out to Sugar Nanny for generously supplying a beautiful selection of custom cupcakes that made the morning even sweeter! From the bottom of our hearts – thank you.
A huge thank you to our amazing community for going bright, bold, and beautifully pink in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation throughout June!
Our Pink Day on Friday 20 June was a standout, with over $700 raised at our charity stall alone and the club decked out in every shade of pink.
Congrats to Andyopa, our Best Dressed winner, who bloomed in her stunning frangipani-themed outfit!
On Friday 28 March, Your Club proudly took part in the World’s Greatest Shave, raising an incredible $10,276 thanks to the amazing support of our staff and patrons.
The event was a huge success, with a buzzing crowd cheering on as seven brave staff members — Gabe, Michael, Andy, Jack, Finn, Jenny, and Trish — and two longtime members, Darryl and Denis, shaved it all off in the name of blood cancer research. Several other staff joined in the fun by colouring their hair in support.
A big shoutout to Michele from Triple T 103.9 for compering the event and Hailey from Urban Room Hair for her expert clippers — both of whom kindly donated their time and talent.
We’re proud to have partnered with the Leukaemia Foundation for such a worthy cause, and we're so grateful for everyone who helped make it unforgettable.
From sweet treats and pink spritzes to sizzling Dollar Dogs, your support helped us raise over $2,800 in total for breast cancer research.
Every outfit, every purchase, and every gold coin made a difference. Thank you for standing with us in the fight against breast cancer.

The season kicks off on Saturday 5 July with a blockbuster double header: the Cowboys NRLW team faces off against the Gold Coast Titans, followed by the NRL team taking on the Melbourne Storm - right here in Townsville.
