POSITION OVERVIEW

The Food and Beverage Director reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and works collaboratively with the entire CCC Leadership Team. The F&B Director has direct accountability for all Food and Beverage operations, including all Member dining, bars, turn house, bev cart, pool café and all club events and private events. She/he acts as the “senior manager on duty” in absence of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.

The successful candidate will be hospitality-minded, collaborative, focused and express a positive ‘whatever-it-takes’ attitude, even under stressful circumstances. Many of the activities that will flow through and be part of the role require an exceptionally strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and work effectively with a cross-functional team. This role also requires a “servant’s heart” and a creative mind, while being an organized, time-efficient and “bigpicture” employee.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

Food and Beverage Coordination

Manage and oversee training programs for food service personnel, covering various aspects such as service techniques, menu knowledge, daily specials, sanitation, team building, and conflict resolution. Regularly assess and evaluate staff's understanding of these expectations. Assume responsibility for the Club's wine and beverage program, including crafting beverage menus and organizing special events (i.e., the wine club).

Leadership and Communication

Conduct daily and weekly staff meetings with direct reports to keep them informed of relevant activities and expectations.

Assist in planning and oversee the execution of special club events

Be responsive to members' requests for menu selections and event planning, striving to accommodate reasonable requests with a "whatever-it-takes" service philosophy.

Financial Oversight

Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of the point-of-sale system (Clubessential), member revenues, invoices, and reports.

Audit and approve weekly payroll

Understand key metrics for successful financial goals and objectives in F&B operations and regularly review these expectations with direct reports to ensure understanding and commitment.

Team Collaboration

Act as a collaborative team player, being "hands-on" when necessary and knowing when to provide leadership

Involve supervisors in the decision-making process to create a welcoming work environment that encourages daily participation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Staffing and Operations; Employee Relations

Ensure effective and efficient staffing and scheduling for all facilities and functions, balancing financial objectives with member satisfaction goals

Foster a strong relationship between kitchen and front-of-the-house staff by working closely with the Executive Chef.

Clearly communicate performance expectations and ensure that assigned tasks are reasonable and well-conceived, providing necessary resources for employees to excel.

Address employee grievances and complaints, directing corrective actions when possible. Maintain appropriate documentation.

Counsel and coach club employees when interpersonal conflicts or performance concerns arise, handling personnel issues with respect and discretion and referring to HR when necessary.

Standards and Appearance

Establish and enforce expectations for dress, decorum, and service standards while consistently monitoring adherence.

Take personal ownership of the physical plant and overall appearance of the operation, maintaining a "member-ready" appearance consistently

Committee Participation, Compliance, and Club Policies

Serve as an ad hoc member of the House Committee.

Ensure all state and local inspections for the clubhouse, wellness center, and kitchens are up to date.

Research new products and conduct cost-benefit analyses. Enforce all policies and rules consistently with both members and staff. Report member infractions to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or appropriate committee chairperson.

Ensure consistent adherence to legal requirements.

Additional Duties

Complete other appropriate assignments as directed by the General Manager. Serve as the senior manager-on-duty in the absence of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.

Open and/or close the Club as needed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will be able to “hit the ground running”, and possess the following key qualifications and expertise:

Genuine passion for hospitality and serving others.

5+ years of progressive hospitality experience with a track record of success

Preferably holds a college degree in hospitality or business; substantial industry experience may substitute.

Proven leadership skills, earning team respect and loyalty.

Proficiency in technology, including Clubessential Club Management suite (POS, back office, website, mobile app, mobile ordering), and other relevant software.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines

Operates with a sense of urgency and strives for high-quality outcomes.

Demonstrates composure, confidence, and poise in fast-paced environments.

Possesses SERV Safe and TiPS certifications

Sommelier training is desirable, with a minimum of Level 1 certification or actively pursuing it.

The Food and Beverage Director:

Reports to: Assistant General Manager

Direct reports: Food and Beverage Manager(s), Special Events Manager, FOH

Servers, Bartenders and Support Staff.

Will work very closely with the Executive Chef and the BOH leadership team.

COMPENSATION &BENEFITS

Salary will be offered at $100,000 annually and is commensurate with experience.
