POSITION OVERVIEW

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

ChiefOperatingOfficeroftheClub–Responsiblefor developingtheClub’sAnnualBudgetwhilealso adheringtothosefinancialguidelinessetforthinthe budgetthroughoutthefiscalyear

Assistinplanning,developing,andimplementingthe Club’spoliciesandgoals

Coordinatesdevelopmentofoperatingandcapital budgetsaccordingtothebudgetcalendar;monitors monthlyandotherfinancialstatementsfortheClub; takeseffectivecorrectiveactionasrequired

Coordinatesactivitiesofalldepartmentstoeffect operationalefficiencyandeconomy

Maintainasincererapportwiththemembership

ActastheAssistantSecretaryontheClub’sBoardof Directors

ChiefpersonneldirectoroftheClub Liaisonandex-officiomemberofallClubcommittees andtheBoardofDirectors

MaintainsthephysicalintegrityoftheClubfacilitiesand assetsbysupervisingthemaintenancepersonneland outsideservicevendors;worksinconjunctionwiththe housecommitteetokeeptheClubinawell-maintained conditionandappearance

Handlesemergenciessuchasfires,accidentsand breachesofsecurityorhouserulespromptlyandin person;emphasizespreventionthroughtraining, inspection,andpreventiveenforcement

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

MaintainsmembershipwiththeClubManagersAssociationof Americaandotherprofessionalassociations Attendsconferences, workshops,andmeetingstokeepabreastofcurrentinformationand developmentsinthefield

Aminimumof5yearsofrelevantexperienceinaprivateclub,with specificemphasisonFoodandBeverageinaYachtClubsetting Abilitytoread,analyze,andinterpretcommonindustryrelated journals,financialreports,andlegaldocuments

Abilitytorespondtocommoninquiriesorcomplaintsfrom members,regulatoryagencies,vendorsormembersofthebusiness community

AbilitytoeffectivelypresentinformationtotheBoardofDirectors Abilitytosolvepracticalproblemsanddealwithavarietyof concretevariablesinsituationswhereonlylimitedstandardization exists

CLUB DETAILS

Governance: The Board consists of 11 members on rotating 2-year terms. There are numerous Committees: Executive, Finance, Communications, House and Grounds, Docks, Membership, Race, Junior Sailing, Activities, and Nominating

The Executive Committee is made up of the Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, and Past Commodore. The Commodore serves a one-year term.

Three Dining Outlets: Library accommodates 48 people; the Main Dining Room 35, and the Upper Deck 80-100
