Website
The City’s website address is www.Plano.gov. If you need updates to the City’s website for your department/division, you will need to contact your department’s webpage coordinator.
Requested web projects include: new pages, page redesigns, event webpages, and working with marketing specialists to update and/or create content for department webpages. The prioritization for these projects is determined by the Webmaster and Director of Communications.
Web request process:
Information for webpages should first be sent to your department’s webpage coordinator who will work with the webmaster and assigned marketing specialists in the Communications department. Departments have an opportunity to review (maximum of two review sessions) to edit incorrect information or graphics, not design. If new information is available after original request was sent, the communications team will update accordingly.
Web content must follow the City’s website governance policy, available on SharePoint. As well, there are several policies regarding web content and the type of links that can be used on the City’s website.
