What is Novus?

City Council agenda are created through Novus, which is a software that assists in the management of the City Council Agenda process. Not all supervisors are responsible for agenda items, and therefore, will not need to utilize this system. Verify with your Department Director if you will be responsible for preparing City Council agenda items.

How do I access Novus?

If you will be preparing City Council agenda items and need access to Novus, call the City Secretary’s Office. They will add you to the Novus system and will follow up with some initial oneon-one training. They also typically offer a training session once a year, as a refresher course for those who do not use the system that often or to answer questions.

There is a Novus agenda folder on the shared drive (S drive) with instructions and other helpful documents (S:\Novus Agenda).
