Happy Easter On Sunday, April 17th , our dining facilities celebrated the Easter holiday with a delicious brunch featuring favorites like Eggs Benedict, Roast Turkey, Baked Ham with Maple Peach Glaze and many more. Some of our bases even featured Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Basket raffles. Transactions: 13,626 Sales: $18,822
Serving Our Local Communities April marks the beginning of our Sodexo Stop Hunger Servathon. Sodexo has dedicated the months of April and May for employees to join forces globally to fight hunger in their local communities. We’re very excited that five of our bases have begun their community volunteering, food drives and funding goals. Most of our bases will be participating and I’m excited to provide a final update in our May newsletter for all our results and activities. For more info on Stop Hunger, click here.

National Making AnEmployee Impact Appreciation Day We celebrate Earth Day each year by asking the Airmen to write down their commitments on how they can help reduce their carbon footprint, and there are many that write about eating more plant-based meals. They spoke and we listened! Since 2019, we have more than doubled the amount of plant-based/ vegetarian/vegan core menu items. These items can be found at all our stations in the dining facilities. For each Airmen that wrote down their Earth Day commitment, we handed out water bottles that were biodegradable and made in the USA. Transactions: 20,072 Sales: $35,823

Delighted For Deviled Eggs We love a great deviled egg during Easter season, and we were thrilled to feature a little deviled egg making competition at the Contrails Dining Facility on Beale AFB! Congratulations to Ellis Hickman, who took firstplace with his classic recipe!
5K Community Race Event Our team at JB Randolph was invited to have a table at the 5K community race event to support the on-base high school band. This is one of many table events they have been apart of this year supporting the base community, and we are ecstatic to be building such a great relationship. Our table provided nutritional information, healthy snacks and water to the race participants.

We launched a menu refresh at the end of January for our entrée station, breakfast bar, and salad bar. Our Executive Chef, Chuck Braun, with the support of chefs from each of the bases, updated the menus with new and exciting recipes. Our breakfast menu refresh included 15 new daily breakfast specials and introduced a Beyond Meat Breakfast Sausage Gravy. Examples of the specials include Sunrise Breakfast Casserole, Sriracha Breakfast Melt (pictured below), and Avocado, Egg White, and Arugula Wrap.
In March, we surveyed 175 guests. 93 respondents said they had tried our new breakfast specials and recipes. We asked them to rate them out of 5 stars, and we received an excellent 4.37-star rating. April 2022
