talks about how you can practice resiliency amidst uncertainty, why fitness matters to our health and how being a voice or support of diversity can go a long way.

Mazzarella IAN CARLO BAJADA
I think being the best person you can be in every aspect in your life is where it’s at. It starts with us.”

IN-DEPTH CONNECTION & PERSONALITY

Jumpstart your confidence with his guide to working smart: all the knowledge you need to take your life and career on a upgraded level.

CSM: 2020 was dubbed a challenging and surprising year. Simplify how did you show your resiliency?

SALVATORE: 2020 was a difficult year but in order not to be overwhelmed by this difficulty, I rediscovered new hobbies such as drawing, singing, dancing and cooking.

CSM: What are the ways to take action in the face of uncertainty?

SALVATORE: Several times I have happened to be uncertain about many situations, but I believe that the only way to overcome the uncertainty is to try to the end.

CSM: In your profession, how do you exude assertiveness and decisiveness?

CSM: Describe the embodiment of confident and sexy?

SALVATORE: Being confident and sexy to me means being charismatic, smart and polite.

CSM: How can you be distinctive in an industry that’s accelerating and competitive?

SALVATORE: To stand out, you have to be different from the crowd in my opinion. Do something that no one has done yet or rather do something that already exists but do it better!

I have learned in life to get comfortable with the uncomfortable. I don’t really have a problem doing that, but definitely finding the tact and nuance of when to be assertive is the key.”

SALVATORE: In my work I strive every day to exude assertiveness and resolve by facing each day as if it were the first day of work.

CSM: What groundbreaking goals do you look forward to achieving?

SALVATORE: As a goal, I am looking forward to having my own gym where I can finally teach what I have learned in 15 years of business.

CSM: In terms of career, what does it take to be a good influence?

SALVATORE: To be a good influence for me, you must first be what you teach!

CSM: What valuable lesson can you impart to others especially the next generation?

SALVATORE: To always be yourself without pretending to be someone else.

Growth Mindset Equates Results

Are you at a place that you feel you’re not making headway with your aspirations? Do you struggle to undertake what you set out to do? You can achieve progress by forming and attentively working towards your goals that align your mission. A growth mindset enables you to work on any problem which can shorten the fulfillment of your goals.

A mindset involves your beliefs –how you distinguish skills, abilities, facts or behavior. The belief system affects someone’s perspectives concerning ambitions and achievement. A rigid mindset hinders progress, but a progressive outlook allows someone to attain health, pleasure, connection and harmony.

Planning your goals is an easy task. Attaining those objectives is a whole new level and that is also the reason why so many people fail to seize their goals. This could lead to some people never setting goals again because their confidence has been knocked around by their mistakes or past experiences. These setbacks are caused by flawed process for planning and evaluating your progress.

A structure can help. It’s simple, but a powerful plan. A solid and effective plan should include measurements for progress, clear timeframes for completion, and planned forums to probe and learn.

Get things done while being mindful. Consider the results that you created and the unexpected encounters. It’s not about getting things done, but getting the right things done. Revised implementation should accommodate change. Looking back is not a bad thing, but useful to obtain vital information.

It comprises of what worked and what needs improvement depending on its complexity. Always review developments and contemplate any adjustments to move forward.

Debriefed details should be actionable. Don’t leave any significant details. Hold yourself accountable and integrate what you have learned. You must be responsible with your actions and your commitments. If this is overlooked, nothing will work. Some are distinctly tenacious, but most people are not. Progress cannot be achieved without accountability. Goals are vital in life because it gives you a sense of purpose. Purpose also helps you to overcome difficult days and eventually, this could also contribute to your overall happiness, contentment, peace, health and wellbeing.

SALVATORE MAZZARELLA TALKS ABOUT DIVERSITY,

INCLUSIVITY, aND EQUITY

CSM: Explain what diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you and why they’re important.

SALVATORE: We are all the same. I don’t like to distinguish the human being in any way.

CSM: What is the most challenging aspect of working in a diverse environment?

SALVATORE: The most challenging expectation is perhaps adapting to different situations but I am of the opinion that nothing is impossible.

SALVATORE: I work with colleagues from all different backgrounds and I must say that it is the most beautiful thing in the world! I learn a lot of things!

CSM: How would you handle a situation where a client or a talent was being culturally insensitive, sexist, racist, or homophobic?

SALVATORE: If I happen to have a racist, homophobic or sexist client, I would simply dismiss them. I don’t like these things!

CSM: How would you advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion with brands or companies that don’t understand its importance?

SALVATORE: If we want to change the world, we have to believe in our ideals so if brands don’t understand, I would continue to do so they would understand!

CSM: What steps will you take to eliminate bias from other brands or companies?

SALVATORE: The steps I will take to eliminate prejudices will be to keep repeating and repeating to myself that prejudices do not exist! And they don’t have to exist.

I work with colleagues from all different backgrounds and I must say that it is the most beautiful thing in the world! I learn a lot of things!”

Distributed and published by Viewpoint Media International and Innov8 Digital Inc.

CSM: 2020 was dubbed a challenging and surprising year. Simplify how did you show your resiliency?

MACIEJ: A lot of things and activities stopped to be able to be done, so instead of whining that I couldn’t do a lot of things I focused on what could have been done. Instead of going to the gym which were closed, I started to work-out with my bodyweight at home and running outside every day, instead of travelling I was learning Spanish every day and preparing myself to pass B2 proficiency certificate, despite the tough conditions, I have tried to find pluses in the plight of lockdowns and I found the way to study on a British university from home in Poland and got the international student ambassador job there.

CSM: What are the ways to take action in the face of uncertainty?

MACIEJ: Instead of focusing on what cannot be done currently, focus on substitutions that can be done. Never depend on a one thing, always have something at your backup. Improve yourself in couple of different fields.

CSM: In your profession, how do you exude assertiveness and decisiveness?

MACIEJ: Always be kind, but do things that you really want to do, not things to please someone at your own expense.

CSM: What groundbreaking goals do you look forward to achieving?

MACIEJ: For this year, I would like to achieve few goals that I have set for myself. Pass all modules at the university business management course. I want to become a fully-certified level 3 personal trainer. Seize every possible modelling opportunity. I want to keep learning new advanced English vocabulary – every single day 5 new words/ expressions. I want to be good at getting consistent with 30-second freestanding handstand holds. Get to 20 pull ups and 50 push ups in a row. Build new contacts and friendships in a foreign country since I moved to the UK back in April 2021.

CSM: Describe the embodiment of confident and sexy?

MACIEJ: Confidence comes from the inside. Being sexy is synonymous to feeling good about oneself both internally and externally. Anyone can embody these characteristics by working towards this regularly. This can be achieved by exercising regularly and surrounding oneself with positive thoughts and people.

CSM: How can you be distinctive in an industry that’s accelerating and competitive?

MACIEJ: Pursuing high goals in fast pace accelerating and competitive industry can be very tricky; the one thing that you should always keep in the back of your head is to. Never compare yourself to others but always to yourself from the past. That is how you can maintain on your self-improvement track and not enter the endless industry rat race.

CSM: In terms of career, what does it take to be a good influence?

MACIEJR: To always keep your word and to never break the rules that you have set.

CSM: What valuable lesson can you impart to others especially the next generation?

MACIEJ: Your current bad habits are sacrificing your future self-happiness. Making progress is relative to where you are today.

ON FITNESS TRAINING AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE:

CSM: How do food and nutrition play an important role in healthy living?

MACIEJ: Much more important than it seems to majority of people. You may not feel the negative impact of the junk food you keep eating instantly but in couple of years you will.

CSM: Explain the vital skills which may maintain focus and happiness.

MACIEJ: Perseverance - Sticking to the daily routine which allows you to slowly build up your goals step by step. Do the hard work especially if you do not feel like to. This attitude will give you back ultimate control about your life.

CSM: What fitness aspirations do you want to achieve?

MACIEJ: Making sure that my form in all exercises I perform is impeccable, in order to never comes across the point when you get injured or feel negative health effects Improve my mobility and flexibility which as well contributes to reducing the chance of injury and moreover results in improved posture and balance.

CSM: Describe the most essential exercises to keep you active.

MACIEJ: A brisk walk - Often underestimated and the most natural activity for humans, practiced daily, it brings many benefits, including increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, improve management of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes; stronger bones and improved balance. Moreover, just simple walking is a great entrance to the work-out world for the person with no experience.

CSM: What is the fundamental gym etiquette that people should practice?

MACIEJ: Focus on it that your workout goals should be achievable but big enough to excite you . Also, remember to set more specific fitness targets, which are going to allow you to focus on what you are achieving and make it more tangible.

CSM: Simplify if it’s a good idea to work out when feeling mentally stressed.

MACIEJ: It is a fantastic solution, working out pumps your endorphin level which is the happiness hormone.

CSM: Expound why a personal trainer should know all of the medical history of a client.

MACIEJ: Every human being’s the most important assets it’s the health which you cannot buy. By making sure that the personal trainer knows all of the medical history of a client, the training can be adjusted in the healthy way which means to not let the client hurt himself or get injured.

CSM: Fact or myth? There is a connection between mental and physical health. Why is that?

MACIEJ: The more comfortable we feel within our bodies the better we feel mentally. Moreover, as mentioned previously, physical activity pumps endorphin level up.

CSM: What major tips can you provide to those who want to achieve their fitness goals?

MACIEJ: You need to present that perseverance to be able to always stick to your training and diet plan. Especially, when you do not feel like it.

CSM: What are some simple things that people can do, in their day-to-day routine, besides working out, to see results faster?

MACIEJ: Set some number of daily steps you are realistically able to do every single day and stick to it. Always pay attention if you drink any unnecessary calories. When it comes to eating hours, always remember to listen to your body and to eat only if you are feeling hunger. Fulfill your schedule, the busier you become the more unlikely is that you are going to start eating out of boredom.

IN-DEPTH CONNECTION
AND PERSONALITY

MACIEJ DROSIO

TALKS ABOUT DIVERSITY, INCLUSIVITY, aND EQUITY

CSM: Explain what diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you and why they’re important.

MACIEJ: I realise the modern world is a long way from this, but we should move towards equal opportunities for all, regardless of their sex, the part of the world a person comes from, the material status of their family, their religion or their sexual orientation

CSM: How would you advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion with brands or companies that don’t understand its importance?

MACIEJ: I would try to raise people’s awareness about which brand are not following diversity, equity, and inclusion, so the society knows which brands to avoid. That would force the brands to reflect on their previous behavior and ho hopefully make some steps towards changing it.

CSM: What is the most challenging aspect of working in a diverse environment?

MACIEJ: In my opinion they are going to be stereotypes and prejudice. Grudges people hold to against particular cultures, religions, and races can easily kill all the teamwork efficiency

CSM: What is your approach to understanding the perspectives of colleagues from different backgrounds?

MACIEJ: I love travelling, learning foreign languages and gaining more knowledge about different cultures. Those things help tremendously when it comes to understanding the point of view of colleagues from different backgrounds

CSM: How would you handle a situation where a client or a talent was being culturally insensitive, sexist, racist, or homophobic?

MACIEJ: I would directly call out that the insensitive statement or action is inappropriate situation like this is unacceptable under any circumstances

CSM: Describe an ideal brand that has a sense of inclusion, belonging, and equity on a daily basis?

MACIEJ: In my opinion, a brand that has amassed popularity due to its inclusive branding in Fenty by Rihanna. They have single handedly entered the market with products that cater to people of all kinds irrespective of their color, caste, religion, background, size. For this very reason, it has become a popular household name while serving quality products to its customers.

CSM: What steps will you take to eliminate bias from other brands or companies?

MACIEJ: Elimination of bias is a gradual and slow process, but one that is achievable. Every step counts into shaping brands into symbols of diversity and inclusivity. Visual representation and inclusive messaging plays an important role in helping brands create an image for itself in this fast paced world. Brands and companies need to be well-informed and take harsh steps towards discrimination on grounds such as bias.

We should move towards equal opportunities for all, regardless of their sex, the part of the world a person comes from, the material status of their family, their religion or their sexual orientation.”

CSM: 2020 was dubbed a challenging and surprising year. Simplify how did you show your resiliency?

TONY: I had been a personal trainer since 2008 and grew a phenomenal reputation for producing world class results. In 2011, I ventured online as I wanted to be able to impact more people’s lives and really grew by online brand and awareness. In 2019, when COVID-19 hit, I took my whole business online with huge success and had an influx of personal trainers asking me for help to go online as they had never done it before. I saw this as an opportunity to develop my High Performance PT Academy and go onto helping 100’s of PTs survive a rough year in the health and fitness industry. This has only grown from strength to strength month upon month.

CSM: What are the ways to take action in the face of uncertainty?

TONY: It’s having the ability to take a step back from every situation and try taking your emotional thinking out of the equation and break down each challenge. To see what is within my control and what is out with my control. There is no point is burning through energy trying to solve problems that are out with your control but instead use that energy to come up with a plan of attack for things that you can control.

CSM: In your profession, how do you exude assertiveness and decisiveness?

TONY: I think in times of struggle you need to be. Voice of reason and a leader. Always looking for a solution and telling things straight and raw and how they are. You can be too indecisive and implement right away and worry about things later. Don’t let other people influence your decisions or bring you down.

CSM: What groundbreaking goals do you look forward to achieving?

TONY: I want to create further tools and system them from everything that I have learned about building a successful personal training business and teach other ambitious trainer out there how to create them lifestyle for themselves

CSM: Describe the embodiment of confident and sexy?

TONY: It’s being super comfortable within your own skin and how you view and see yourself. Be confident and happy with who you are and know that you and you and no one else can replace that. Don’t worry about what others think and you control your own path and destiny. Confidence and charisma in yourself oozes sex appeal.

CSM: How can you be distinctive in an industry that’s accelerating and competitive?

TONY: People buy into people and not necessarily a business or service. Be yourself and get out there. Show case who you are. Provide value and be authentic. Like attracts like. Show your strengths and don’t be scared to be vulnerable too. It makes you relatable and human.

CSM: In terms of career, what does it take to be a good influence?

TONY: Genuinely wanting to help others and cheer them when they win and pick them up when they fall. Look at others success as a source of inspiration and motivations and be happy for other success.

CSM: What valuable lesson can you impart to others especially the next generation?

TONY: Follow your dreams. You will a third of your life working so you might as well turn your passion into a career. When you do something that you truly love it won’t feel like a job. You will give it far greater attention and effort and it will become a success because you won’t let it be anything else. Don’t be scared to fail. Failing is only a lesson to be learned. Learn from it and move on.

CSM: Simplify if it’s a good idea to work out when feeling mentally stressed.

TONY: This is a 2-part answer to be honest. Sometimes when your stresses outgoing and having a training session can de stress you and clear your head and give you that much needed head space and get back to other tasks afterwards. Sometimes it’s hard to focus on training when your head is elsewhere so opting for some cardio instead can be a good way to de stress and clear your head without getting injured from weight because you’re not concentrating enough when doing weight when you are stressed out. Turn up anyway and adjust accordingly to how you’re feeling once you start.

CSM: Expound why a personal trainer should know all of the medical history of a client.

TONY: You need to always be aware of any issues that might arise when you are looking after your clients needs. Your client health should always be a number one priority.

CSM: Fact or myth? There is a connection between mental and physical health. Why is that?

TONY: Fact. Training makes your feel good, it releases endorphins and allows you to challenge yourself and get you out side your comfort zone. You control your progress and the more you put in the more you get out. It’s a very rewards endeavor.

ON FITNESS TRAINING AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE:

CSM: How do food and nutrition play an important role in healthy living?

TONY: You are what you eat. Your energy levels, the way you feel, the way you look are all influenced by what you put in your body. If you look after your body your body will lock after you. You only have one body and one life so you really do need to look after yourself

CSM: Explain the vital skills which may maintain focus and happiness.

TONY: Always be hungry for more but be very aware and humble on how far you have come already. Know what you want and strive towards that goal day in day and don’t lose sight of who you are and what you want.

TONY: I want to help motivate and inspire other to be the best possible versions of themselves. Live life to the fullest as one day it will all be over.

CSM: Describe the most essential exercises to keep you active.

TONY: I believe that you should train every part of your body equally. Doing the exercises that you’re not very good at or like doing show a weakness that if you spend time bring on your weaknesses you will only go from strength to strength. A mixture of compound free weight exercises alongside some machine work and light cardiovascular work.

CSM: What is the fundamental gym etiquette that people should practice?

TONY: Do what you need to do in the gym and then get back to your normal life. Spending time on gym equipment scrolling on your phone watching videos and looking at pictures isn’t going to improve your body composition. You need to do the work and focus on the task at hand. Use your phone for inspiration prior and them when you get in the gym get your mind in the zone and focus of your plan.
