FUEL PASSION WITH CREATIVITY.

Our feelings or passions are stemmed from inspiration and fuelled creativity. There is no single reaction or feeling exclusively favorable for innovation. The real secret is in how we utilize the good and bad events towards creativity.

Your passion is the fuel of life. It should be propelled with consistency and persistence. Sometimes, people put their passions on hold or leave it behind. You do not have to neglect it; you just have to refuel it. Passionate people tend to use their momentum to be motivated regardless if they will be happy or won’t be satis ed. This desire and commitment will allow individuals to maintain long-term goals. They are no strangers to setbacks or frustrations because levels of stress are part of creative work. Passion is complex and it is anchored with intensity which goes beyond feelings, work ful llment and engagement.

Rediscover that desire and fuel it by nding out what made you passionate about your passion. Go back to the

beginning and remember why it all started. Discover your why to help you nd what motivated you which will get you back in the game. Next, master and manage your emotions. Being responsible for your emotional state plays a vital role to refuel your passion.

Then, feed your soul and mind. To keep your creative juices owing, read books, watch movies, and get inspiration from other people, things or other places. Be consistent and patient. You have to commit and have patience. This will keep you driven and help you in the long run. Do what you love instead of forcing yourself to do something you do not like. Embrace the journey to keep your spirits high. To fuel your passion: Play your strengths, improve weaknesses, use your gi s and talents, and above all, celebrate your successes – both big and small.

Look good, feel great!

In-depth features approaching the scope of life decisions, importance of wellness, diversity and career perspectives. Exclusive interviews with the best in the business –from world-class public figures to influential faces.

KELSI Davies

CSM: The last couple of years were labeled as a rollercoaster ride full of twists and probably surprises. How did you show your resiliency?

KELSI: Yes, it definitely has been interesting. The past few years, I’ve learned a lot about myself, the people I surround myself with, and how to keep pushing forward no matter what obstacles come my way. I just never gave up on myself, my passions, and my ambition. Through a rough time, I worked hard and just pushed myself every day to be my best self and manifest my dreams.

CSM: What’s the best course of action to take in the face of uncertainty?

KELSI: Look at things from different perspectives, do not focus on the negatives, stay focused on the good things and you will find your way. I truly believe everything happens for a reason and if it is meant to be, you will find it. Believe in yourself and work hard towards the next step.

CSM: Professionally speaking, how can you exude being decisive?

KELSI: I suppose by showing your steps towards a big decision or goal. Every big decision has small steps to get there. Take things one step at a time.

CSM: What comeback goals do you want to achieve in 2022?

KELSI: This year I really want to push myself and try new things. I’d love to get back into acting because this is something I have always been passionate about. I’m hoping to build up my resume this year so I can move forward towards my acting career.

CSM: Define confidence and being sexy. KELSI: I believe confidence is having trust, believing in yourself, and having faith that things will work out. Self-confidence to me is feeling positively about yourself with who you are both inside and out. In my opinion, feeling sexy is bringing that self-confidence out in a fun and desirable way.

CSM: How do you standout in a fast-paced and competitive industry?

KELSI: I feel like I stand out by being my authentic self. I am goofy, I love to entertain, and I happen to be fascinated with the unknown. My psychic or medium gifts definitely help me stand out because they are unique, somewhat scary and mysterious that people are curious to find out.

CSM: Career-wise, how can someone be a good influence to others?

KELSI: By influencing people to be their best selves, treat others with respect, be real, and spread positivity.

CSM: What vital lessons can you share with young people?

KELSI: There are a lot of hard lessons that I learned. The best is to always trust your instincts. You will come across a lot of people in your life, both good and bad. Just look out for yourself and don’t listen to anyone who tries to bully or bring you down.

Fuel your passion and jumpstart your mindset with this guide to working smart to own the year 2022: all the street-smart competence and practical knowledge you need to take your life and career to rev up your creative thinking.
... if it is meant to be, you will find it. Believe in yourself and work hard towards the next step.”

CSM: What do you think is the role of food or nutrition in healthy living?

KELSI: Whatever you consume is how you will feel. I feel like food and nutrition are very important for both your mental and physical health.

CSM: How do you maintain your consistency of weight or shape?

KELSI: I try to work out about 3-4 times a week. Choosing healthier snacks and meals have helped me maintain a healthy weight.

CSM: What fitness goals do you want to attain?

KELSI: I just want to feel strong, confident, and healthy.

CSM: What exercises do you consider to be fundamental?

KELSI: Usually, I like incline training or waking on a treadmill for about an hour. Walking helps clear my mind; it has really toned down my anxiety as well. I also like to meditate before going to sleep.

CSM: What gym etiquette that people must follow?

KELSI: Respect others. Some people forget they are around others who are trying to enjoy their workout. Just be mindful of those around you – and clean the equipment please!

CSM: When you’re stressed, how do you manage it?

KELSI: I love using essential oils. They really help to calm me down. Self-care is also important when you are stressed. I’ll go get a facial, a pedicure, or maybe even get a massage. It really helps me to de-stress. Meditation also helps.

CSM: Expound why mental health matters in the digital age. KELSI: There is a lot of good and bad that comes with social media and the internet. Social media can be very toxic, but it can also help others. There are a lot of resources on mental health now. It is more accessible than ever were before we had the internet. Is the digital age the main reason for more resources? I’m not sure, but mental health is extremely important and I hope that having more resources helps those who are in need.

CSM: Simplify if mental and physical health are connected or not.

KELSI: They are 100% connected. When I was depressed, I lost about 10-15lbs because my anxiety caused a lack of appetite. The depression caused me to sleep most of the day and not eat when I was awake. It was scary and I didn’t even notice it until people started acknowledging my weight loss. Your mental health affects your psychical health, so it’s very

important to take care of both.

CSM: In achieving fitness goals, what should people remember?

KELSI: Every body type and size is beautiful. Achieving fitness goals should be about your own goals you have for your body. As long as you are in good health, you feel confident, and you are happy, those are the things that really matter. Don’t compare your body to others as every person’s body is unique.

CSM: What stereotypes should people break when it comes to physical and mental health?

KELSI: The stereotypes that people should break are that being super skinny is a physical health goal, or that visiting a therapist means you have issues. You can be healthy, beautiful, and happy no matter what size your body is. The goal shouldn’t be about being super skinny. Some people have skinny body types, others have bigger body types, and both are completely normal! Getting professional help for your mental health also should not be looked down upon—no one is perfect! It is okay to talk to someone who is there to help with your mental health.

Every body type and size is beautiful... Don’t compare your body to others.

Talks about diversity, equity, and inclusion

CSM: Explain what diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you and why they’re important.

KELSI: To me, diversity, equity, and inclusion to me being accepting of everyone. There is so much hate in the world. There are so many ways to overcome division and that includes being open to diversity, treating others equally, and using our voices for change. I think we need to take action to change our world. We have to make progress by working together as a whole.

CSM: What is the most challenging aspect of working in a diverse environment?

KELSI: Every person is different. It is always challenging to find trust in others. You never know how you will work with that person or what their intentions are.

American singer and TikTok sensation

COVER STORY

Black It Out: Top: Gracia Pants: Declare Denim Shoes: Liliana

CSM: What is your approach to understanding the perspectives of colleagues from different backgrounds?

KELSI: I just pick up on the energy in the environment and what feelings I get from the people I meet.

CSM: How would you handle a situation where a client or a talent was being culturally insensitive, sexist, racist, or homophobic?

KELSI: I would address it and tell them why I don’t agree with what they are saying.

CSM: Discuss a time when you advocated for diversity and inclusion.

KELSI: In my music video for my song “Heartbeats,” I wanted to somehow add in aspects of diversity, unity, and inclusion. We ended up doing a fun colorful portion with people of different races, ages, genders, and sexualities. I also celebrated my pansexuality and it was such a fun way to show equality.

CSM: Describe an ideal brand that has a sense of inclusion, belonging, and equity on a daily basis?

Kelsi Davies is an American content creator on YouTube with more than 400K subscribers and on TikTok with over 4 million followers. She’s also a singer and dancer.

Hopefully, I could change their perspective. It’s better to say something than to allow them to be disrespectful and insult others.

CSM: How would you advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion with brands or companies that don’t understand its importance?

KELSI: I would show them the importance of it all. I would also educate them on how branding does have a big effect on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Advertising has taken over social media. Ever since they started focusing on the importance of diversity, it really had an impact.

KELSI: I think Nike has promoted equality very well based on what I have seen... not only for race, but for any gender equality.

CSM: What steps will you take to eliminate bias from other brands or companies?

KELSI: I won’t support brands or companies who are not open to change, no matter how big or how well-known they are. Instead of supporting brands that aren’t open to diversity, we should support small businesses which are.

There are so many ways to overcome division and that includes being open to diversity, treating others equally, and using our voices for change.”

IN-DEPTH CONNECTION AND PERSONALITY

CSM: The last couple of years were labeled as a rollercoaster ride with full of twists and probably surprises. How did you show your resiliency?

I think that knowing yourself and who you are within is what gives you the courage to face adversity and show true resilience. Becoming a self-reliant person is important so that when times are challenging and you fall, you aren’t dependent on someone else to pick you back up.

CSM: What’s the best course of action to take in the face of uncertainty?

I think the best thing to do when facing uncertainty is to lean into your faith. Believe that things will turn out positively and do it scared.

CSM: Professionally speaking, how can you exude being decisive?

Being decisive takes confidence. When you have put in the work in whatever profession you are in, there should be a level of comfort in that field. Be confident in what you are an expert in and in that, you will find the ability to be decisive.

CSM: What comeback goals do you want to achieve in 2022?

I have so many comeback goals planned for this year. I have both personal and professional goals. I would love to broaden my real estate brokerage and photography business. Coming back from a few rough years in hospitality by showing up stronger is first on my professional goal list. Personally, I would love to incorporate more strength training into my fitness schedule.

CSM: Define confidence and being sexy. These two go hand-in-hand in my book. Regardless of whether you see yourself as sexy, other people will if you are confident. Loving yourself in your own skin creates such a vibe of self-love that other people pick up on that!

CSM: How do you standout in a fastpaced and competitive industry?

I stand out by not trying to compete with the others --- I compete with myself. I don’t try to be the biggest fish in the pond. I want to standout for being genuine and humble in a world that sometimes are not those things.

CSM: Career-wise, how can someone be a good influence to others?

I think about those that have influence in my life and they all share some qualities in common. They are all humble, honest, loyal and trustworthy. They are there to help others and never criticize anyone for trying to better themselves.

CSM: What vital lessons can you share to young people? The things that truly matter in life are not going to be found on social media or by having the nicest material things. The things in life that make you happy in life all come from your faith, being loved and caring for others.

ON FITNESS TRAINING AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE:

CSM: What do you think is role of food or nutrition in healthy living?

The things that truly matter in life are not going to be found on social media or by having the nicest material things. The things in life that make you happy in life all come from your faith, being loved and caring for others.

CSM: How can you maintain your consistency of weight or shape?

Staying active throughout the day whether it is parking further away from a store to get in steps or by going to a fitness class.

CSM: What exercises do you consider fundamental?

All the basics... those are the lifelong exercises that create a workout plan that can be used forever. Squats, planks, push-ups, crunches, etc.

CSM: What gym etiquette that people must follow?

Don’t slam the weights and put up your equipment!

CSM: When you’re stressed, how do you manage it?

Take it back to the simple exercises. Don’t overcomplicate things until your mind is clearer for creativity.

CSM: Expound why mental health m atters in the digital age.

We live in an age where we are on display for the opinions of others. Strangers behind a keyboard feel that it is acceptable to make negative comments on people that they have never met. This can really wear on someone’s vision of themself. If you have mental health issues, this can open you up to unnecessary scrutiny that can harm you in the long run. We need to focus on being mentally healthy so that the opinions of others are irrelevant to our self-worth.

CSM: Simplify if mental and physical health are connected or not.

Yes, absolutely. If you aren’t in a great head space, you can’t possibly put out your best effort when it comes to physical health.

CSM: In achieving fitness goals, what do people should remember?

It doesn’t matter if other people get it or are supportive of your goals. You have to do it for you!

ASHLEY KOHLS

ON DIVERSITY, INCLUSIVITY & EQUITY

CSM: Explain what diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you and why they’re important. Being diverse is what makes this world interesting. Millions of the same people would make life boring.

CSM: How would you advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion with brands or companies that don’t understand its importance? Give examples of how being more diverse or inclusive would benefit them and their consumers.

CSM: What is the most challenging aspect of working in a diverse environment? We haven’t walked in everyone’s shoes so working in an environment where you have little experience of what shaped those around you can be difficult. That is where being open-minded and accepting come into play.

CSM: What is your approach to understanding the perspectives of colleagues from different backgrounds? Just like I mentioned above, being open-minded, accepting and sensitive to others’ backgrounds as they may be different from your own.

CSM: Describe an ideal brand that has a sense of inclusion, belonging, and equity on a daily basis?

Lululemon. From their culture to their ad campaigns

IN-DEPTH CONNECTION AND PERSONALITY

CSM: The last couple of years were labeled as a rollercoaster ride with full of twists and probably surprises. How did you show your resiliency?

The past few years I showed resiliency by entirely changing my career path to follow my passion of helping and coaching people in their health or fitness journey full-time. I realized that life is too short to be doing something that does not make you happy.

CSM: What’s the best course of action to take in the face of uncertainty?

When there is uncertainty, you sometimes have to take the risk. At the end of the day, you never know unless you try something. You cannot become successful without failure so face your uncertainty head on.

CSM: Professionally speaking, how can you exude being decisive?

I can exude being decisive by taking risks.

CSM: What comeback goals do you want to achieve in 2022?

My comeback goals in 2022 are to expand my business as a health coach. I want to be able to help as many people as possible in their fitness journeys. I want to personally step on a national bikini competition stage with a competitive package.

CSM: Define confidence and being sexy.

Confidence is being sexy. Confidence is not caring what other people say. When you are confident, you are sexy.

CSM: How do you standout in a fast-paced and competitive industry?

I stand out by being realistic and transparent about my journey as well as with all of my clients.

CSM: Career-wise, how can someone be a good influence to others?

Someone can be a good influence to others by wanting good for other people. If you are constantly doing something for selfish reasons, then you can end up not being a good influence on other people.

CSM: What vital lessons can you share to young people? I mentioned it before, but take the risk! Life is too short to spend your days doing something that does not make you happy.

I write, read, do yoga, talk to a therapist, or go to the gym. Sometimes, even just moving like a walk with my dog can serve to help manage my stress.

CSM: Expound why mental health matters in the digital age. Mental health is huge in the digital age. You should not feel afraid to bring up mental health or spend time on bettering yourself in these areas.

CSM: Simplify if mental and physical health are connected or not.

If you are not mentally healthy, then your physical health will ultimately decline.

CSM: In achieving fitness goals, what do people should remember? There is no quick fix. With time, work, and consistency you will reach your goals!
