editoriale È incredibile pensare che ogni volta che passeggiamo in un luogo di Verona, c’è la possibilità che stiamo ricalcando i passi del Sommo Poeta, che considerava la città il “primo rifugio e’l primo ostello” dopo aver lasciato Firenze. Ebbene, quest’anno abbiamo la possibilità di percepire la sua presenza ancora di più attraverso i festeggiamenti del settecentesimo anniversario della sua morte, in cui il Comune di Verona ha organizzato la mostra diffusa “Dante a Verona 1321-2021”, un insieme di eventi per tutto l’anno 2021 che ci permette di vedere in prima persona un barlume della città che lui stesso viveva ogni giorno. Ricordiamoci però di festeggiare anche noi stessi per aver affrontato l’ultimo anno e mezzo. Prendiamoci cura della nostra mente incontrando le persone che ci fanno stare bene e che amiamo. Godiamoci appieno la bellezza, sia della natura circostante e i suoi prodotti, sia del design, figlio dell’intelligenza e creatività della mente umana. Prendiamoci anche cura del nostro corpo concedendoci qualche momento di benessere che magari gli anni scorsi non avremmo mai considerato. Diamo un nuovo significato al concetto di Abitare e iniziamo a vedere il territorio in cui viviamo come una vera e propria casa costruita per noi, da rispettare, condividere ed amare.

It is incredible to think that every time we walk in Verona, there is the possibility that we are stepping on the footsteps of the Supreme Poet, who considered the city the "first refuge and […] first inn" after leaving Florence. Well, this year we have the opportunity to perceive his presence even more through the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of his death, in which the Municipality of Verona organized the widespread exhibition "Dante in Verona 1321-2021", a set of events throughout the year 2021 which allows us to see firsthand a glimpse of the city that he himself lived every day. But let's remember to celebrate ourselves too for having faced the last year and a half. Let's take care of our mind by meeting the people who make us feel good and whom we love. Let's fully enjoy beauty, both of the surrounding nature and its products, and the beauty of design, born from the intelligence and creativity of the human mind. Let's also take care of our body by allowing ourselves a few moments of well-being that we might never have considered in recent years. Let’s give a new meaning to the concept of Abitare and let’s begin to see the territory we live in as a real house built for us, to be respected, shared and loved.

e Shakespeare. Il mito di Verona ell’ambito delle iniziative veronesi organizzate per i settecento anni dalla morte di Dante Alighieri, ha preso l’avvio l’11 giugno la mostra Tra Dante e Shakespeare. Il mito di Verona, che resterà aperta alla Galleria d’Arte Moderna Achille Forti fino al 3 ottobre. Realizzata dal Comune di Verona – Assessorato alla Cultura – Musei Civici, l’esposizione, a cura di Francesca Rossi, Tiziana Franco e Fausta Piccoli, costituisce uno dei fulcri dell’articolata “mostra diffusa” ideata per le celebrazioni del settecentenario come duplice omaggio al Poeta e alla città di Verona, che

gli diede “lo primo tuo refugio e ’l primo ostello” (Paradiso, XVII, 70). La mostra si articola lungo un arco cronologico compreso tra Trecento e Ottocento, con oltre 100 opere tra dipinti, sculture, tessuti e testimonianze materiali dell’epoca scaligera, incisioni, manoscritti miniati, incunaboli e volumi a stampa in originale e in formato digitale provenienti dalle collezioni civiche e da biblioteche e musei italiani ed esteri. Il primo nucleo si concentra intorno al panorama artistico nel grande snodo della rivoluzione figurativa di Giotto, per poi proseguire nell’affascinante racconto del legame che unì il Poeta e Cangrande della Scala. Una selezione di testi decorati della Commedia, manoscritti e a stampa, accompagna il visitatore dall’epoca di Dante alla fine del Settecento. Il secondo nucleo ricostruisce il mito di Dante nell’Ottocento come incarnazione degli ideali risorgimentali e dell’unità culturale e linguistica del Paese. Ampio spazio è dato alla fortuna iconografica dei personaggi della Commedia: Beatrice, Gaddo e il Conte Ugolino, ma anche altre figure legate al tema dell’amore e degli amanti sfortunati, come Pia de’ Tolomei e Paolo e Francesca. The six exhibition sections explore two thematic cores: the time of Dante’s exile and his presence in Verona in the early fourteenth century and the nineteenth-century revival linked to the rediscovery of the Poet and his Commedia. The first nucleus is concentrated around the artistic panorama during Giotto’s figurative revolution, and then continues with the fascinating story of the bond that united the Poet and Cangrande della Scala. The latter, in particular, introduce the myth of Juliet and Romeo, young lovers born from the pen of Luigi da Porto in the sixteenth century and made famous all over the world by William Shakespeare. It is the double myth of Dante and Romeo and Juliet, in fact, which constitutes the heart of the identity of nineteenth-century Verona, which on the one hand is nourished by the historical and real presence of the Poet at the court, on the other by the imaginary one of the two young lovers, also created in the frame of a courteous fourteenth century. Among these works, there are three drawings by Botticelli, exceptionally borrowed from the Kupferstichkabinett of Berlin: Dante and Beatrice. Paradiso II, in particular, was chosen as the coordinated image of the “widespread exhibition”, which graphically develops the theme of Dante’s itinerary in Paradiso and translates it into the journey of the Poet along the streets of Verona, to discover the places linked to his presence and to his memory.

“DANTE E L’ESPRESSIONE POETICA” 30 EVENTI A PARTIRE DAL 21 LUGLIO

on poteva che essere dedicata a Dante, nella ricorrenza dei 700 anni dalla morte, l’ottava edizione del Festival della Bellezza, che si svolgerà per la prima volta in diversi scenari - siti Unesco, luoghi danteschi e città d’arte - con trenta eventi, introdotti tutti da un verso dantesco, in connessione tra la vita del Sommo Poeta e i luoghi. Sono appuntamenti inediti, legati in scenari storici di grande tradizione e suggestione. Gli appuntamenti al Teatro Romano veronese sono suddivisi in due periodi, dal 21 al 25 luglio e dall’11 al 15 settembre. 5 appuntamenti tra agosto e dicembre si svolgeranno al Vittoriale di Gardone e all’isola del Garda, altri a Villa Mosconi Bertani in Valpolicella, al Teatro Bibiena di Mantova, al Giardino Torrigiani di Firenze, al Palazzo della Ragione a Padova e al Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza. Festival della Bellezza "Dante and the poetic expression" 30 events starting on 21 July by Giancarla Gallo

The eighth edition of the Festival della Bellezza could only be dedicated to Dante, on the 700th anniversary of his death. It will take place for the first time in different scenarios - Unesco sites, Dante's places and cities of art - with thirty events, all introduced by a Dantesque verse, in connection between the life of the Supreme Poet and these places. Unprecedented events, linked in historical scenarios of great tradition and charm. The dates at the Veronese Roman Theater are divided into two sections, from 21 to 25 July and from 11 to 15 September. 5 dates between August and December will take place at the Vittoriale in Gardone and on Isola del Garda, others at Villa Mosconi Bertani in Valpolicella, at the Bibiena Theater in Mantua, at the Torrigiani Garden in Florence, at the Palazzo della Ragione in Padua and at the Olympic Theater in Vicenza. Among the guests we can find Galimberti, Vinicio Capossela, Mogol, Alessandro Barbero and Giordano Bruno Guerri.

Opera Festival Per il 98° Opera Festival, dal 19 giugno al 4 settembre, l’Arena di Verona apre una finestra sulla Bellezza: l’Opera incontra dodici grandi musei e parchi italiani. Con il patrocinio del Ministero della Cultura, la tradizione e la Storia incontrano l’innovazione sul palcoscenico dell’anfiteatro veronese con le scenografie areniane integrate da 400mq di ledwall. Cavalleria rusticana racconta il sole, le tradizioni popolari e i culti di Sicilia. Le processioni religiose secolari raffigurate negli affreschi dei Musei Vaticani prendono vita nel paesaggio epico della Valle dei Templi, in atmosfere ben rappresentate dal disegno Pélerinage des Saintes-Maries de la Mer, creato negli stessi anni dell’opera di Mascagni e custodito nel patrimonio millenario della Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana. Abbinato all’atto unico di

Mascagni è Pagliacci, capolavoro di teatro nel teatro, che è anche un omaggio al circo e al cinema di Federico Fellini, grazie al Museo Nazionale del Cinema e al Fellini Museum Rimini. Gelsomina, dal primo disegno del Maestro per il suo film La Strada, è parte iconica del mondo visionario ispirato a Fellini che prende vita sull’immenso palcoscenico areniano sulle note di Leoncavallo. I tesori millenari custoditi al Museo Egizio prendono nuova vita per narrare l’Egitto dorato e prezioso di Aida, opera regina dell’Arena. Tra questi, la prestigiosa istituzione torinese ha svelato la maschera di Merit: uno sguardo intatto, insieme fragile e seducente, il cui fascino dura da oltre tremila anni. Con il grande affresco corale di Nabucco, la storia del popolo ripercorre quella degli Ebrei dalle

origini al Novecento grazie al Museo Nazionale dell’Ebraismo Italiano e della Shoah di Ferrara. Le sue diverse collezioni private testimoniano le vicende delle comunità italiane, simboleggiate da un raro scatto del Ghetto veronese nella prima metà del Novecento: uno squarcio architettonico, nella città, nella Storia. Un viaggio nell’arte e nella bellezza lungo secoli in sedici opere selezionate provenienti dalle Gallerie degli Uffizi circonda il meraviglioso ritratto di signora per Violetta, protagonista de La Traviata di Verdi. Alaide Banti sdraiata è uno dei dipinti femminili più belli di Giovanni Boldini, il “pittore delle donne” e forse l’artista italiano più rappresentativo della Belle Époque.

98° Opera Festival In occasion of the 98th Opera Festival, from 19 June to 4 September, the Opera in Arena di Verona meets twelve great Italian museums and parks. With the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, tradition and history meet innovation on the stage of the Veronese amphitheater with the arenian scenography integrated by 400sqm led walls.

Cavalleria rusticana tells us about the sun, the popular traditions and the cults of Sicily. The secular religious processions depicted in the frescoes of the Vatican Museums come to life in the epic landscape of the Valley of the Temples. An atmosphere that is well represented by the drawing Pélerinage des Saintes-Maries de la Mer, created in the same years as Mascagni's work and preserved in the Vatican Apostolic Library. Combined with Mascagni's act is Pagliacci, a masterpiece of theater, which is also a tribute to Federico Fellini's circus and cinema, thanks to the Museo Nazionale del Cinema and the Fellini Museum Rimini. Gelsomina, from the Maestro's first drawing for his film La Strada, is an iconic part of the visionary world inspired by Fellini that comes to life on the immense Arena stage to the notes of Leoncavallo. The thousand-year-old treasures kept in the Egyptian Museum take on new life to narrate the golden Egypt of Aida, the queen show of the Arena. Among these treasures, the prestigious Turin institution has unveiled the mask of Merit: an intact artefact, both fragile and seductive, whose charm has lasted for over three thousand years. The coral fresco Nabucco traces the history of the Jews from their origins to the twentieth century thanks to the Museo Nazionale

Per rappresentare il grande affresco del Verdi Requiem è stato scelto il tempio di Atena dal Parco Archeologico di Paestum e Velia, che con il patrimonio di Pompei unisce gli aspetti sacro e umano dell’arte e del capolavoro di Verdi. Una Cina fiabesca ma intrisa di umanità è il mondo ricreato da Puccini in Turandot: un mondo che si fa più reale, fedele e ancor più raffinato con i tesori svelati dal Museo d’Arte Cinese ed Etnografico, come quello rappresentato nel pannello ottocentesco che da un monumentale paravento dell’estremo Oriente è arrivato a Parma, dov’è

Amleto (Prima nazionale, venerdì 2 e sabato 3 luglio), firmata e guidata dall’incontenibile estro di Paolo Rossi, in un mix di musica, cabaret e commedia dell’arte, al Sogno di una Notte di Mezz’Estate (Prima nazionale, giovedì 8 e venerdì 9 luglio) diretto da Giorgio Sangati, un allestimento di impianto più tradizionale, seppur con gusto contemporaneo, animato da un gruppo di giovani e talentuosi interpreti capitanati da Luciano Roman, Sandra Toffolatti e Valerio Mazzuccato. Si proseguirà con un originale progetto ideato da Fabrizio Arcuri che mescolerà cinema, musica e teatro dal titolo The Mistery of Hamlet (Prima nazionale, lunedì 12 luglio). Alla proiezione del film muto Hamlet con la magnetica Asta Nielsen, si affiancherà la colonna sonora originale eseguita dal vivo da un ensemble d’eccezione che riunisce musicisti provenienti dagli Afterhours, Verdena e Teatro degli Orrori, il tutto attraversato dalla voce inconfondibile di Filippo Nigro. burattini di Titus (Prima nazionale da giovedì 22 a domenica 25 luglio), prodotta dal Teatro Stabile di Verona con protagonista Bob Marchese, e con Shakespearology (lunedì 26 luglio) di Sotterraneo, che darà la parola al Bardo in persona per una confessione fuori dagli schemi. Come da tradizione il Teatro Romano ospiterà infine un titolo del ricchissimo repertorio goldoniano: Il Teatro Comico (Prima nazionale, martedì 24 agosto) con protagonista Giulio Scarpati diretto da Eugenio Allegri insieme alle compagnie professionali venete. SETTEMBRE CLASSICO, sezione della programmazione teatrale dedicata al teatro greco e romano, si comporrà di quattro spettacoli, in scena al Teatro Romano. Grande protagonista il femminile evocato da due figure tragiche. The screening of the silent film Hamlet along with the magnetic Auction Nielsen will be accompanied by the original soundtrack, performed live by an exceptional ensemble that brings together musicians from Afterhours, Verdena and Teatro degli Orrori, all crossed by the unmistakable voice of Filippo Nigro. The Merry Wives of Windsor (Tuesday 20 July) will combine theater and music and will be curated by Serena Sinigaglia with the ATER theater company. Then it will be the turn of a monologue with an undisputed protagonist of Italian theater: Alessandro Preziosi playing Othello (Tuesday 27 July), viewed from Cassio's side. Si proseguirà con il repertorio classico con La Bayadère (giovedì 5 agosto) e Coppelia (martedì 10 agosto). SETTEMBRE CLASSICO, section of the programme dedicated to the Greek and Roman theater, will consist of four performances, staged at the Roman Theater. The great protagonist is the female figure, evoked by two tragic figures. In the programme there will be a rewriting of the myth of Cassandra signed by Ruggero Cappuccio for Sonia Bergamasco and directed by the provocative and brilliant Belgian director Jan Fabre, called Resurrexit Cassandra (Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 September), but also Ifigenia #generazionesacrificio, in an installation that will see Euripides talking with multiple contemporary sources selected by the directors Silvia Masotti and Camilla Zorzi. The performance (National Premiere, Wednesday 1 September) will be the final moment of a formative project with a group of young people from the area, enriched by the award-winning theater company Anagoor. There is also space for comedy with Aristophanes' Gli Uccelli (National Premiere, Friday 27 August), proposed by the Mitmacher Company with the extraordinary participation of Paolo Calabresi and Plauto's Aulularia (Thursday 9 and Friday 10 September), played by Ettore Bassi. THE VERONA IN DANZA section will propose a tribute to Russian Ballets with the Daniele Cipriani company in Soirée Russe (Friday 30 July), a tribute to Diaghilev and Nijinsky who gave life to one of the most significant pages in the history of dance. The programme will continue with a classical repertoire with La Bayadère (Thursday 5 August) and Coppelia (Tuesday 10 August). The former will relive in the reinterpretation created by the award-winning choreographer Michele Di Stefano for the Nuovo Balletto di Toscana, while the will find new interpretative keys thanks to the inspiration that Laura Corradi will put at the service of the Ersiliadanza company. Otello dalla parte di Cassio di Agnese Ceschi

Alessandro Preziosi torna a Verona nei panni di Cassio, il personaggio uscito dalla penna di William Shakespeare nella tragedia Otello. Il monologo teatrale, che sarà martedì 27 luglio, esplora la natura dei sentimenti umani della celebre tragedia del Bardo attraverso gli occhi di un personaggio all’apparenza secondario: Cassio. Abbiamo intervistato Alessandro Preziosi, oggi uno dei più noti attori italiani, che si divide tra cinema, televisione e teatro in modo molto poliedrico, per farci raccontare questo ritorno a Verona e come, dal suo punto di vista, esce il teatro dalla pandemia. Alessandro, che sensazione si prova a tornare a teatro? Questa semi-normalità si sente tutta. È sempre una ripartenza, ma è strano vedere la platea a metà. L’evento dello spettacolo dal vivo è sempre abbastanza unico ed eccezionale, per questo la partecipazione del pubblico è fondamentale. Questo contenere il rapporto pubblico-attore non rende l’esperienza esattamente la stessa. Il pubblico in numero normale vive in modo più intimo e corale lo spettacolo. Come vestirai i panni di Cassio? “Otello dalla parte di Cassio” è un tentativo di approfondire i grandi sentimenti che ci sono dietro la tragedia di Otello, dal punto di vista di chi, come Cassio, cerca di ribellarsi dall’essere un personaggio vittima della storia. Mettere Cassio al centro di questa storia ci è servito per comprendere le ragioni che lo hanno reso una vittima, al centro di una fitta rete di sentimenti: il risentimento di Iago, l’incapacità di Otello di accettare il colore della sua pelle, Desdemona che si fa ammaliare dall’uomo d’armi ma che potrebbe aspirare a ben altro. Nel reading Cassio diventa il mezzo attraverso il quale tutti questi sentimenti vengono portati sotto il naso dello spettatore: invidia, gelosia, passione, ingenuità, fiducia, amicizia, gerarchia politica e militare. In qualche modo si trascende la tragedia stessa… Cassio è un personaggio apparentemente secondario, ma attraverso di lui portiamo in superficie la natura umana, con incredulità. Lasciata nelle pagine la tragedia, i personaggi si ribellano, escono e vivono di vita propria attraverso Cassio. Dentro di noi convivono un angelo buono e uno cattivo e all’inizio del reading dico: fin quando il cattivo non finirà tutto il suo corso, l’angelo buono non potrà mai risalire. Tutto questo in un dialogo tra piano e voce che permettano alla storia di mantenere la sua linearità. Come esce il teatro dalla pandemia? Con più responsabilità. In questo momento c’è una grande responsabilità da parte degli operatori del teatro, quella di dare allo spettatore qualcosa che non sia la rivisitazione o l’adattamento di un classico, ma rischiare qualcosa di nuovo. L’arte deve prendersi oggi la responsabilità: è uno strumento di cambiamento quando propone un cambiamento reale e riesce a rispecchiare la società in modo spericolato, rischioso e anche un pò controtendenza. Dando allo spettatore la possibilità di non essere comodo. Il Festival Shakesperiano lo sta facendo nella sua programmazione, non proponendo sempre gli stessi cartelloni. Come vivi da artista e uomo questo momento? Come artista cercherò di fare la mia parte scrivendo, cercando idee nuove da proporre ai produttori. Farmi anche io tramite di iniziative nuove. Come uomo quello che vivo oggi è un momento di transizione. Non posso dire di essere migliorato o cambiato, sono in una fase di cambiamento. Anche se credo che sarebbe così anche senza il Covid. “Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita, ci siamo trovati tutti in una selva oscura” come direbbe Dante.

An interview with Alessandro Preziosi by Agnese Ceschi Alessandro Preziosi returns to Verona for the role of Cassio, the character created by the pen of William Shakespeare in the tragedy Othello. The theatrical monologue, which will be on Tuesday 27 July, explores the nature of human feelings in the famous poet’s drama through the eyes of a seemingly secondary character: Cassius. We interviewed Alessandro Preziosi, today one of the best-known Italian actors, who divides his time between cinema, television and theater in a very multifaceted way, to learn about his return to Verona and how, from his point of view, is theater reacting after the pandemic. Alessandro, how does it feel to go back to the theater? It feels semi-normal. It is always a restart, but it is strange to see half the audience. Live shows events are always quite unique and exceptional, which is why the participation of the public is essential. This containment of the public-actor relationship does not make the experience exactly the same. Normal audiences experience the show in a more intimate and unanimous way. How will you take on the role of Cassio? “Otello dalla parte di Cassio” is an attempt to deepen the feelings behind Othello's tragedy, from the point of view of those who, like Cassio, try to rebel from being a victim of history. Putting Cassio at the center of this story helps us to understand the reasons that made him a victim, at the center of an intricate web of emotions: Iago's resentment, Othello's inability to accept the color of his skin, Desdemona who is bewitched by the military man but could aspire to something else. In the reading, Cassio becomes the means through which all these feelings are brought under the spectator's nose: envy, jealousy, passion, naivety, trust, friendship, political and military hierarchy. Somehow the tragedy itself is transcended ... Cassio seems like a secondary character, but through him we bring human nature to the surface, with disbelief. The tragedy is left on the pages, while the characters rebel, go out and live a life of their own through Cassio. A good angel and a bad one coexist within us and at the beginning of the reading I say: until the bad angel finishes its entire course, the good angel will never be able to go back up. All this in a dialogue between piano and voice that allow the story to maintain its linearity. How does the theater get out of the pandemic? With more responsibility. At this moment there is a great responsibility on the part of theater operators, to give the viewer something that is not a reinterpretation or adaptation of a classic, but to risk something new. Art must take responsibility today: it can be a tool for change when it proposes a real change and manages to reflect society in a reckless, risky and even a little counter-trend way, by giving the viewer the possibility of not being comfortable. The Shakespearean Festival is doing this in its programme, not always offering the same posters. How do you live this moment as an artist and a man? As an artist I will try to do my part by writing, looking for new ideas to propose to producers so I can also be the intermediary of new initiatives. As a man, what I am experiencing today is a moment of transition. I cannot say that I have improved or changed, I am in a phase of change. Although I believe it would be the same without Covid. “In the middle of the journey of our life, we all found ourselves in a dark forest” as Dante would say.

La galleria pubblica di Ugo Zannoni (1836-1919) Uno studio dedicato all’artista e al tema del mecenatismo che ha portato alla nascita delle collezioni civiche della Galleria d’Arte Moderna. Uno dei maggiori scultori dell’Ottocento veronese, Ugo Zannoni, visse una lunga carriera all’insegna di relazioni artistiche tra Verona, Milano e Venezia, animata dall’impegno civile a favore della cultura e dei musei cittadini. Tra il 1905 e il 1918, donò ai Musei Civici veronesi la sua cospicua collezione di opere d’arte, gettando le basi per la costituzione di una Galleria d’Arte Moderna. Nella raccolta delle circa 200 opere donate, sono presenti artisti che Zannoni ha frequentato e altri animatori di ricerche scultoree e pittoriche significative del secondo Ottocento, tra realismo, umori risorgimentali e nuove poetiche della luce.

La galleria pubblica di Ugo Zannoni (1836-1919) A study dedicated to the artist and the theme of patronage that led to the birth of the civic collections of the Gallery of Modern Art. One of the greatest sculptors of the nineteenth century in Verona, Ugo Zannoni, lived a long career in the name of artistic relations between Verona, Milan and Venice, animated by a civil commitment in favor of culture and city museums. Between 1905 and 1918, he donated his large collection of works of art to the Verona Civic Museums, laying the foundations for the establishment of a Gallery of Modern Art. In the collection of about 200 works donated, there are artists that Zannoni hang out with and other figures of significant sculptural and pictorial research of the late nineteenth century, including realism, Risorgimento and new poetics.

Esposte in Sala Boggian, quarantuno acqueforti e acquetinte che l’artista americano Michael Mazur produsse ispirandosi alla prima cantica della Divina Commedia per comporre il libro d’artista “Michael Mazur, Etchings: L’Inferno, Dante”, stampato in tiratura limitata di 50 copie in collaborazione con il maestro tipografo Robert Townsend. L’opera grafica è accompagnata dai corrispettivi brani del testo originale di Dante Alighieri con, a fronte, la fortunata traduzione in inglese dell’Inferno realizzata dal poeta Robert Pinsky.

Exhibited in the Sala Boggian, forty-one etchings and aquatints that the American artist Michael Mazur produced inspired by the first cantico of the Divine Comedy to compose the artist's book "Michael Mazur, Etchings: L'Inferno, Dante", printed in a limited edition of 50 copies in collaboration with the master printer Robert Townsend. Manifestazioni 25 – 26 settembre Festival della Ceramica Ritorna la terza edizione del Festival della Ceramica Verona, che si terrà il 25 e 26 settembre nelle piazze San Zeno, Corrubio e Pozza a Verona. Il bellissimo quartiere di San Zeno ospiterà oltre 60 ceramisti provenienti da tutta Italia con una mostra mercato di grande qualità. I visitatori saranno accolti anche da laboratori gratuiti per adulti e bambini, dimostrazioni di tornitura, musica e tanto altro all’insegna della cultura della ceramica. In questa edizione verranno presentate anche alcune associazioni di volontariato del territorio che utilizzano la ceramica come strumento di sostegno ed integrazione. Una grande festa per diffondere l’arte della ceramica in quanto parte del tessuto culturale, artistico e sociale della nostra comunità. Si attendono numerosi per un fine settimana ricco di attività e cultura. 25 – 26 September Ceramics Festival The third edition of the Verona Ceramics Festival is back, to be held on 25 and 26 September in the San Zeno, Corrubio and Pozza squares in Verona. The beautiful district of San Zeno will host over 60 potters from all over Italy for a high-quality market exhibition. Raffaele Boscaini è il nuovo Presidente di Confindustria Verona per il quadriennio 2021-2025, e membro del Consiglio Generale di Confindustria Nazionale. Con una passata esperienza di formazione e professionale nel mondo anglosassone, Boscaini è oggi parte del Consiglio di Amministrazione dell’azienda di famiglia Masi Agricola, con una specializzazione sugli aspetti legati al marketing e Coordinatore generale del Gruppo Tecnico della stessa. Lo abbiamo intervistato per scoprire da lui come ha reagito alla nomina e quali obiettivi si è posto nell’espletamento della sua carica nei prossimi 4 anni. Presidente, si aspettava questa nomina? Che eredità raccoglie? Poter contare sulla fiducia di tanti colleghi mi ha emozionato e sono veramente molto grato a tutti coloro che mi hanno dimostrato il proprio appoggio e sostegno. Ho offerto la mia disponibilità con spirito di servizio e al tempo stesso entusiasmo, raccolgo non solo l’eredità di Michele Bauli ma di tutti i presidenti che mi hanno preceduto e che hanno lavorato per il bene del nostro territorio ognuno con le proprie peculiarità. Quali sono i valori a cui si ispirerà nello svolgimento del suo mandato nei prossimi 4 anni? Sicuramente l’ascolto e la condivisione. Sono convinto che Confindustria sia e debba essere sempre più la casa degli imprenditori e delle imprese e in una casa è questo che si fa si condividono esperienze perché la forza del singolo diventi una forza per tutti, si ascoltano le esigenze e si anticipano i bisogni. Quali obiettivi si è posto e su quali ambiti è necessario lavorare per il bene delle imprese? Nel mio programma ho delineato sette linee di attività e deleghe specifiche che ho affidato ai Vicepresidenti, come il networking, le filiere e i cluster di imprese per aumentare la competitività e alimentare lo sviluppo; sostenibilità come base culturale delle imprese; capitale umano, una risorsa sorprendente che deve tendere alla massimizzazione delle sue potenzialità, politiche per i giovani; gestione e indirizzo delle risorse economiche europee guidate da parametri di massima efficacia e insieme di efficienza; internazionalizzazione. Che know-how si porterà dal mondo del vino? Quando si fa un lavoro come il mio si è abituati a fare i conti con l’incertezza e con cambiamenti da un anno all’altro, ma bisogna che il brand, il capitale reputazionale rimangano intatti, qualsiasi sia il contesto: si impara a non pensare al problema ma a trovare soluzioni sapendo bene qual è l’obiettivo. Di cosa ha bisogno il settore imprenditoriale veronese oggi, anche in relazione alle nuove sfide della pandemia? Il nostro tessuto economico è solido, lo ha dimostrato con la crisi del 2008 e lo sta dimostrando adesso. Occorre rinnovarsi continuamente. Gli scenari cambiano rapidamente ed è necessario essere pronti a cogliere anche i più piccoli segnali per capire come muoversi cercando nuovi mercati, ascoltando i propri clienti e anticipandone i bisogni, innovando costantemente. Sostenibilità, digitale, internazionalizzazione: sono solo alcune delle sfide di oggi. Come intende approcciarle come Presidente di questa importante associazione? Ogni singolo progetto va inserito all’interno di una visione. La sostenibilità funziona solo se pervade tutta l’attività di impresa dalla parte economica a quella sociale e ambientale, la digitalizzazione ha senso se abbraccia tutti i processi aziendali e così tutte le altre sfide. Avere una visione ci dà modo di avere chiaro l’obiettivo, essere coerenti, scandire priorità.

With a past formative and professional experience in the Anglo-Saxon world, Boscaini is now part of the Board of Directors of the Masi Agricola family business, with a specialization in marketing, and General Coordinator of the Technical Group of the same. We interviewed him to find out how he reacted to the appointment and what goals he set himself during his office over the next 4 years. President, did you expect this appointment? What legacy do you collect? Being able to count on the trust of so many colleagues has moved me and I am truly very grateful to all those who have shown me their support. I offered my availability with a spirit of service and enthusiasm; I collect not only the legacy of Michele Bauli but of all the presidents who preceded me and who worked for the good of our territory, each with their own peculiarities. What are the values that will inspire you in carrying out your mandate over the next 4 years? Certainly, listening and sharing. I am convinced that Confindustria is and must be increasingly the home of entrepreneurs and companies and this is what we do in a home, we share experiences so that the strength of the individual becomes the strength of everyone, we listen to and anticipate needs. What objectives have you set and on which areas is it necessary to work for the good of our businesses? In my program I have outlined seven lines of activities and specific delegations that I have entrusted to the Vice-Presidents, such as networking, supply chains and business clusters to increase competitiveness and fuel development; sustainability as a cultural basis for businesses; human capital, a surprising resource that should maximise its potential, policies for young people; management of European economic resources guided by parameters of maximum effectiveness and efficiency as a whole; internationalization. What know-how will you bring from the world of wine? When you do a job like mine, you are used to dealing with uncertainty and changes from one year to the next, but the brand and the reputational capital must remain intact, whatever the context: you learn not to think about the problem but find solutions knowing well what the goal is. What does the Verona business sector need today, also in relation to the new challenges of the pandemic? Our economic fabric is solid, it proved it in the 2008 crisis and it is showing it now. It is necessary to renew it continuously. Scenarios change rapidly and it is necessary to be ready to grasp even the smallest signals to understand how to proceed by looking for new markets, listening to customers and anticipating their needs, constantly innovating. Sustainability, digital, internationalization: these are just some of today's challenges. How do you intend to approach them as President of this important association? Each individual project must be included within a vision. Sustainability works only if it pervades all business activities, from the economic to the social and environmental part; digitization makes sense if it embraces all business processes and thus all other challenges. Having a vision allows us to have a clear goal, be consistent, set priorities.

La nuova scoperta, che ha già ottenuto un notevole successo con più di 3000 pazienti, si chiama Lipogems ed è utilizzata all’Irccs Ospedale Sacro Cuore Don Calabria di Negrar, a cura del direttore dell’Ortopedia e Traumatologia, Claudio Zorzi. A causa dell’obesità e della vecchiaia la cartilagine, che riveste le superfici delle articolazioni, si consuma, causando infiammazione e quindi dolore. L’artrosi colpisce moltissime persone sopra i 55 anni, senza regressione e senza miglioramenti definitivi. Il trattamento di Lipogems, che si svolge in sala operatoria a cura dell’equipe del prof. Zorzi, dura complessivamente 20 minuti in anestesia locale. Si procede con una liposuzione di 50 gr circa di grasso preso dall’addome o dalle cosce; grasso che viene microframmentato, attivando le cellule mesenchimali, che vengono infiltrate direttamente nell’articolazione. In seguito agli studi effettuati, si è visto che i pazienti, dopo circa due mesi, hanno avuto un beneficio clinico con diminuzione del dolore. Il miglioramento viene mantenuto fino a tre anni. Ma, vicino a questo successo lavorativo, il noto chirurgo Claudio Zorzi vanta la realizzazione di un sogno: il wine relais Le Cave con fattoria biologica a Tregnago, che coniuga ospitalità, cucina rinomata e vino di eccellenza in un territorio unico tra boschi e olivi. The new discovery, which has already achieved considerable success with more than 3000 patients, is called Lipogems and is used at the Irccs Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital in Negrar, by the director of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Claudio Zorzi. Due to obesity and old age, the cartilage, which covers the surfaces of the joints, wears out, causing inflammation and therefore pain. Osteoarthritis affects many people over the age of 55, without regression and without definitive improvement. Lipogems treatment, which takes place in the operating room by the team of prof. Zorzi, lasts a total of 20 minutes under local anesthesia. We proceed with a liposuction of about 50 grams of fat taken from the abdomen or thighs; this fat is micro-fragmented, activating the mesenchymal cells, which are then infiltrated directly into the joint. Following the studies carried out, it was found that the patients, after about two months, had a clinical benefit with a decrease in pain. The improvement is maintained for up to three years. Along with this working success, the well-known surgeon Claudio Zorzi boasts the realization of one of his dreams: the wine relais Le Cave plus organic farm in Tregnago, which combines hospitality, renowned cuisine and excellent wine in a unique area between woods and olive trees. Immersed in the lands of Amarone, the Le Cave estate is located on a suggestive terrace in the Lessinia Natural Park. The name recalls the pre-existing white rock quarry, which has now become an evocative vineyard. The main building includes 17 elegantly furnished rooms with bar, restaurant, spa, outdoor swimming pool with salt water and gym; Villa Maccalè, on the other hand, contains suites, fireplaces, gardens and biosaunas. Here, tailor-made events are organized throughout the year such as horseback riding, mountain biking and wine tastings. The kitchen enhances a tradition based on raw materials, produced with organic and biodynamic methods. Chef Fabio Aceti defines his cuisine as a “good kilometer cuisine”, which is why he takes care of the aromatic herbs from the garden inside the estate. Each dish goes well with Tasi Wines, wines obtained with respect for biodiversity and the territory.

L’antica villa veneta, risalente al XVIII secolo, è un elegante cinque stelle lusso di 35 camere (diventeranno 40 entro la fine del 2021), situata nella prestigiosa tenuta immersa tra i cento ettari di vigneti Villabella e oliveti di proprietà delle famiglie Delibori e Cristoforetti, nella zona del Bardolino, più precisamente a Cavaion Veronese, in provincia di Verona. Una volta varcato il lungo viale di cipressi, si è accolti dal giardino all’italiana e dalla Villa padronale originale risalente al Rinascimento, custodita dalle due barchesse laterali. La residenza è circondata dal vasto parco di alberi secolari, dalla bellissima piscina che come uno specchio d’acqua riflette i colori della natura circostante. In uno spazio ricavato in una delle ali laterali della Villa, troviamo l’ingresso del ristorante “Oseleta”: un ambiente affascinante, ricco di atmosfere eleganti e in grado di mantenere tale il fascino appartenente al passato. Il ristorante Oseleta composto di due sale, tra cui una veranda, si affaccia sui vigneti della tenuta Villabella. In cucina c’è lo chef, poco più che trentenne, Marco Marras originario di Bosa (Sardegna). Il giovane cuoco ha già alle spalle importanti esperienze presso prestigiosi indirizzi italiani, ma anche un curriculum che annovera destinazioni altisonanti fra cui Ginevra, Miami ed Hawaii. La cucina di Marras, con proposte sia di carne sia di pesce, sia un menu vegetariano, rappresenta un filo diretto tra Veneto e Sardegna: espressione dell’abbraccio fra l’antica tradizione culinaria sarda con quella veneta dalla quale scaturisce una cucina di concreta e schietta ricerca. Chef Marco Marras definisce la sua proposta come «un mélange fra ricordi del passato, il legame profondo con la terra d’origine, le tecniche acquisite nel corso degli anni, le esperienze culinarie vissute in vari Paesi», elementi che lo spingono a proporre equilibrati abbinamenti anche dai sapori orientali. The ancient Venetian villa, dating back to the 18th century, is an elegant five-star luxury hotel with 35 rooms (they will become 40 by the end of 2021), located on a prestigious estate surrounded by one hundred hectares of Villabella vineyards and olive groves, owned by the Delibori and Cristoforetti families, in the Bardolino area, more precisely in Cavaion Veronese, in the province of Verona. By climate I do not mean only the meteorological one, but the convivial atmosphere that reigns among the members, always available and enthusiastic to meet for dinner or a golf trip. I always say that the only defect of the Club (if it can be considered as such) is that you always know the time when you arrive but never the time you leave it. The game played on the pitch is always followed by a drink with the playmates, up to an aperitif with other members, thus quickly arriving at dinner time on the magnificent terrace overlooking the lake, which for its view and tranquility makes us feel privileged. And so, after dinner, it's already time to say goodbye.”

Alla partita giocata in campo segue sempre una bicchierata con i compagni di gioco, fino all’aperitivo con altri soci, giungendo così rapidamente all’ora di cena sulla magnifica terrazza che domina il lago, che per vista e tranquillità ci fa sentire dei privilegiati. Nonostante alcune lievi complicazioni post partum, a pochi minuti dalla nascita il piccolo di renna era già in grado di succhiare il latte mentre, nel giro di un’oretta, si reggeva sulle proprie zampe. Dopo pochi giorni, mamma e piccolo stavano bene e hanno nuovamente preso parte alla quotidianità del gruppo che, adesso, conta 4 individui. Il nuovo arrivato è un maschietto e la scelta del suo nome è stato affidato al popolo dei social network, che ha scelto Lumi (“neve” in finlandese). “Vulnerabile” di estinzione secondo IUCN, appartiene ad una specie in costante decremento: taiga e tundra dell’emisfero boreale stanno risentendo dei cambiamenti climatici tanto da cambiare l’equilibrio tra neve, pioggia e ghiacci con il risultato di rendere inaccessibili i muschi e i licheni di cui questa specie si nutre. Motivo per cui il nuovo nato sia un esemplare prezioso per la conservazione delle specie a rischio. “Non può ancora vedersi ma il nostro piccolo ha già iniziato la crescita delle corna - spiega Caterina Spiezio, responsabile del settore ricerca e conservazione del Parco Natura Viva - che al momento sono solo palpabili. Si tratta di una specie molto precoce a sviluppare le caratteristiche utili a sopravvivere nelle regioni artiche e subartiche del Pianeta e, infatti, il nostro piccolo inizierà a brucare autonomamente già dopo il primo mese. Per il momento però, nonostante la grande curiosità di sua sorella Maze, lui ancora non si allontana dalla mamma anche se tra un po’ inizierà la stagione dei giochi e delle impertinenze”. Una volta cresciuto, poi, terrà il palco per tutta la stagione degli accoppiamenti per poi perderlo al termine, più o meno ai primi di novembre. “Alle femmine questo accade invece in primavera, il che - precisa Spiezio - suggerisce che tutte le renne di Babbo Natale (Rudolf compreso) dovessero essere in realtà femmine e non maschi”. Favole a parte, la scienza ci dice che la vitalità della specie soffra in tutto il suo areale ma che a passarsela male in Europa sia particolarmente la renna di foresta, una delle 12 sottospecie, che attualmente vive confinata in Finlandia dopo essersi estinta ai primi del ‘900. Fondamentali in questo “ritorno dall’estinzione” sono stati i giardini zoologici con i loro esemplari reintrodotti grazie anche al Programma per le Specie Minacciate (EEP) dell’Associazione Europea Zoo e Acquari (EAZA).

Palazzo Scolari UNA SFIDA COMPLESSA DELLO STUDIO BC+V ARCHITETTI PERCHÉ RIGUARDANTE SIA UN INTERVENTO EDILIZIO IN SENSO STRETTO, SIA L’OPPORTUNITÀ PER BUSSOLENGO DI AVERE UN NUOVO ED IMPORTANTE LATO DELLA PIAZZA PRINCIPALE

Palazzo Scolari è stato un progetto sviluppatasi da un punto di vista sia urbanistico che architettonico, avendo come obiettivo principale la riqualificazione della piazza più importante del paese. Per realizzare ciò era necessario soddisfare sia le esigenze della committenza rappresentata dalla famiglia proprietaria dell’isolato, sia dell’amministrazione comunale attraverso un Masterplan all’interno di un Piano di Recupero, non solo da parte di Tecnici comunali ma anche dagli organi politici come il Consiglio Comunale. Le riflessioni sul progetto hanno richiesto, dunque, di partire dallo studio del tessuto urbano, degli edifici circostanti e delle architetture di pregio, con in mente forme importanti ma discrete che potessero dialogare con il contesto ma al tempo stesso identificarsi e riqualificare l’area. Palazzo Scolari was a project developed from a both urban and architectural planning point of view, having as its main objective the redevelopment of the most important square in the town. To be able to realize it, it was imperative to satisfy both the needs of the client represented by the family that owns the block, and those of the municipal administration through a Masterplan within a Recovery Plan, not only by municipal technicians but also by political bodies like the City Council. The planning on the project, therefore, required starting from the study of the urban fabric, the surrounding buildings and high-value architecture, while keeping in mind important but discreet shapes that could dialogue with the context but at the same time identify and redevelop the area. I singoli corpi di fabbrica sono stati, così, proporzionati e le altezze definite per gerarchizzare ed armonizzare le architetture di pregio all’interno della piazza: la Fontana del Trezza, la torre Campanaria, il Municipio e l’edificio degli uffici della Banca Popolare. Il risultato ha portato il progetto a dialogare quest’ultime, oltre che con gli altri edifici che si affacciano sulla piazza. Il tutto, inoltre, è stato definito e studiato in tutti i dettagli costruttivi e materiali di finitura tipici degli edifici storici di Bussolengo, come la pietra di Prun, il Ferro lavorato e gli intonaci a calce colorata. Il complesso edilizio è stato realizzato con grande attenzione e cura dalla Ditta Carli Costruzioni S.r.l., la quale ha seguito tutte le fasi della realizzazione a partire dalla progettazione fino alla costruzione. Grazie alla collaborazione attiva di tutti soggetti, pubblici e privati, il risultato finale è riuscito a risolvere, alla fine, un pezzo del Paese.

I contenitori sono stati concepiti come servizi “segreti”, che possono rivelare una cabina spogliatoio, un ripostiglio etc. Le colonne poi continuano fino a trasformarsi in una cucina aperta e luminosa. Case Mazzanti. Un restauro che recupera e conserva la storia dii Claudio Perotti

Uno degli elementi che maggiormente spicca agli occhi dei fruitori di Piazza delle Erbe è la facciata affrescata delle Case Mazzanti. Una superficie di 400 metri quadrati che fu dipinta su commissione dei Mazzanti, in più fasi, incluso il contributo di Alberto Cavalli su commissione di Matteo Mazzzanti nel 1500, pittore mantovano allievo di Giulio Romano. Tali affreschi sono tra i pochi rimasti a Verona e testimoniano il diffondersi, a partire dal XV secolo, della decorazione pittorica esterna degli edifici. Affresco inteso non solo come elemento decorativo, ma anche come componente in grado di caratterizzare l’architettura e la città. A Verona tale tendenza raggiunse, per quantità ed estensione, risultati strabilianti tanto da guadagnarsi l’appellativo di urbs picta (città dipinta). Originarie di proprietà degli scaligeri, Case Mazzanti sono un insieme architettonico che nel corso degli anni hanno subito innumerevoli trasformazioni sia funzionali che prospettiche. Ne è un esempio l’occultamento del loggiato posizionato sopra l’attuale porticato, sostituito nel tempo da una infilata di finestre e da alcuni balconi. L’intervento di restauro degli Architetti Andrea Aloisi e Ferdinando Forlati, ancora in corso su altre parti dell’edificio, sta mettendo in luce una serie di affreschi, di colonne, capitelli e stemmi la cui esistenza si ignorava in quanto coperti da sporcizia, da intonaci, insegne commerciali e da aggiunte di nuove decorazioni. In particolare, attraverso il lavoro di recupero degli affreschi, si sono ripulite le figure allegoriche del pittore Alberto Cavalli (quelle che oggi vediamo sulla facciata prospiciente la piazza) che sono state sovrapposte alle decorazioni geometriche quattrocentesche. Il restauro ha poi scoperto nuovi affreschi che ci raccontano le spezierie di proprietà del Mazzanti: Dell’Angelo, Del Cervo Dorato, Della Croce. Sono inoltre emerse, in quanto nascoste da intonaci, sette colonne in marmo. Quest’ultime costituiscono gli elementi portanti le logge preesistenti. Pertanto il lavoro di restauro delle Case Mazzanti diviene particolarmente significativo e consente la lettura e la comprensione delle trasformazioni avvenute nel corso degli anni. Possiamo dunque dire che il progetto iniziale di restauro si è trasformato in una sorta di restauro narrativo. Da qui è poi nata l’idea di ridare nuova luce agli affreschi con un piano di illuminazione digitale. Come spiega Sergio Macchioni, di Opificio della Luce, non si tratta solo di illuminare gli affreschi, ma di operare una “ricostruzione virtuale attraverso delle proiezioni degli affreschi” scomparsi o parzialmente visibili il cui scopo è quello di “raccontare come veniva realizzato un affresco e quali significati venivano attribuiti alle immagini”. Questo ha fatto pensare a un piano di illuminazione da estendersi a tutto il centro storico di Verona che, dal 2000, è patrimonio mondiale dell’UNESCO.

Mazzanti houses. A restoration that recovers and preserves history

Piazza delle Erbe. In one of the most charming places in Verona, restoration work is being carried out on the facades of the Mazzanti Houses. The project, carried out by the architects Andrea Aloisi and Ferdinando Forlati, includes, in addition to the restoration of the frescoes, the recovery of the portico on the ground floor. On the basis of the findings that took place during the restoration work, a partial reopening of the loggia on the first floor was also carried out by Claudio Perotti One of the elements that stand out in the eyes of those who have been in Piazza delle Erbe is the frescoed façade of the Case Mazzanti. The restoration work by architects Andrea Aloisi and Ferdinando Forlati, still in progress on other parts of the building, highlights a series of frescoes, columns, capitals and coats of arms whose existence was unknown as they were covered by dirt, from plasters, commercial signs and additions of new decorations. In particular, through the work of recovering the frescoes, the allegorical figures of the painter Alberto Cavalli (the ones we see today on the facade facing the square) that were superimposed on the fifteenth-century geometric decorations, have been cleaned up. The restoration work then discovered new frescoes that tell us about the pharmacies owned by the Mazzanti family: Dell’Angelo, Del Cervo Dorato, Della Croce. Seven marble columns also emerged as hidden by plaster. The latter constitute the supporting elements of the pre-existing loggias. The restoration work of the Case Mazzanti has therefore become particularly significant because it allows the reading and understanding of the transformations that have taken place over the years. We can therefore say that the initial restoration project has turned into a sort of narrative restoration. Hence the idea of giving new light to the frescoes through a digital lighting plan. As Sergio Macchioni, of Opificio della Luce explains, it is not just a matter of illuminating the frescoes, but of operating a “virtual reconstruction through projections of the frescoes” that have disappeared or are partially visible, the purpose of which is to “tell how a fresco was created and what meanings were attributed to the images”. This led to think of a lighting plan to be extended to the entire historic center of Verona which, since 2000, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Grande o piccola che sia è una vera e propria bottega, con tutti i suoi strumenti, nascosti o a vista che siano, per creare atmosfera, piacere, gioia, casa. La Cucina è il luogo della casa che rappresenta una sorta di “bottega degli affetti” che cuce insieme gli spazi dell’abitare: svegliarsi al mattino con il profumo di biscotti appena sfornati, preparare il pranzo o la cena… perché cucinare è atto d’amore, di cura per se stessi e per chi si ama. Arredare e scegliere la cucina diventa così un momento importante. Deve essere lo specchio delle persone che vi abitano, ma ancora di più di chi quella cucina la vive e ne ha passione. Sarebbe bello poter dedicare alla cucina molto più spazio nella casa: che sia una stanza intera o un angolo a vista, dovrebbe sempre essere in armonia con il resto della casa e i suoi abitanti. Una sorta di luogo di alchimie, non solo culinarie. Mentre si cucina si chiacchiera, magari seduti su uno sgabello, i gomiti su un piano alto, con un bicchiere di vino in mano. Oppure l’assaggio di una pietanza mentre cuoce, gli odori di casa. Tutto questo è cibo per il cuore.

The kitchen is the core of the house, what holds the living spaces together. by Daniela Cavallo La cucina dovrebbe dunque avere spazio per creare queste magie: un asse di legno o di marmo per fare la pasta o la pizza, un tagliere sempre pronto tra i fuochi e il lavandino, capiente per poggiare piatti e pentole senza impedimenti. E accanto ai fuochi, uno spazio per disporre le pietanze in bell’ordine prima di portarle a tavola, perché a gustare si comincia dagli occhi. La tavola dovrebbe essere grande, anche in un’altra stanza se non c’è abbastanza spazio, anche se si è single, perché fa allegria, disegna il valore dell’accoglienza, della famiglia, degli amici; oppure piccola, magari tonda, senza spigoli, di legno, più calda, intima. E magari un frigo grande con il suo congelatore che sappia suggerire all’arrivo di ospiti inaspettati e graditi un piatto da inventare. Poi il forno, alto se la schiena crea problemi a piegarsi. Magari due, per non dimenticare l’importanza di una cottura fatta bene, come quella a vapore o ventilata. Infine, gli elettrodomestici non dovrebbero essere troppi. Un buon coltello e una buona abilità manuale possono fare molto; per esempio, un bel mortaio e pestello per sbriciolare lasciando intatti profumi sapori, nutrimenti e odori. La cucina è il luogo dove trattare in modo particolare cose e persone, dove prende forma, profumo, sapore e creatività. Arredare la cucina è come fare cucire un abito su misura: deve calzare a pennello per farci sentire a nostro agio. Serve dunque un bravo sarto per progettarla, per essere felici.

Furnishing and choosing the kitchen is thus an important moment. It must be the mirror of the people who live there, but even more of those who live in that kitchen and are passionate about it. It would be great to be able to dedicate a lot of space to the kitchen in the house: whether in an independent room or in an open corner, it should always be in harmony with the rest of the house and its inhabitants. A sort of place of alchemy, but not only a culinary one. While cooking you chat, sitting on a stool, your elbows on a high floor, with a glass of wine in your hand. Or you taste a dish while it cooks, or smell the particular scent of a home. All of this is food for the heart. The kitchen should have space to recreate this magic. For example, with a wooden or marble plank for making pasta or pizza, or a cutting board always ready between the burners and the sink, large enough to place dishes and pots without hindrance. Next to the burners, there should be a space to arrange the dishes in order before bringing them to the table, to start tasting with the eyes. The table should be large, even in another room if there is not enough space, also if you are single, because it is fun, it draws the value of hospitality, of family, of friends; or a small table, perhaps round, without edges, made of wood, warmer, more intimate. Maybe there should be a large fridge with its own freezer that can suggest you a dish to invent when unexpected and welcome guests arrive. Then the oven, high if the back hurts when bending. Or even two ovens, so as not to forget the importance of cooking well, such as with steam or ventilation. Finally, the household appliances should not be too many. A good knife and good manual skills can do a lot; a nice mortar and pestle to crumble, for example, to leave aromas, flavors and nutrients intact. The kitchen is a place to treat things and people in a particular way, where creativity, scents and flavor take shape. Furnishing the kitchen is like having a tailored suit: it must fit perfectly to make us feel at ease. For this reason, we need a good tailor to design it and to be happy.

Riam ascensori nasce nel 1966 con un impianto per un hotel di Jesolo Lido. Quest’anno, a 55 anni di distanza, sono stati realizzati gli impianti per il The One a Caorle (VE), hotel tra i più lussuosi e innovativi della riviera veneta che è stato inaugurato il 1° luglio. Alessandra Recchia, amministratore unico Riam, ci spiega che cosa significa essere nati e continuare ad essere al servizio degli hotel? Per Riam significa essere cresciuti insieme al settore e aver attraversato un pezzo di storia insieme, vuol dire conoscersi bene, sapersi confrontare con le esigenze del settore, arrivando a volte ad anticiparle. Pensiamo ad esempio alla stagionalità, al fatto di pianificare gli interventi in base all’afflusso turistico. Riam è oggi un’azienda strutturata e con la massima flessibilità organizzativa. Moduliamo gli interventi in base all’attività degli hotel, concentrando determinati lavori nei periodi bassa stagione, ad esempio. Anche la personalizzazione dei servizi è un nostro punto forte, che consegue sempre dalla flessibilità nell’organizzazione. Riam realizza nuovi impianti e si occupa di manutenzione e assistenza non solo per hotel ma anche per privati, condomini, aziende, enti pubblici. C’è differenza tra l’Assistenza e la Manutenzione per gli hotel rispetto agli altri settori? La sostanza del servizio non cambia, l’assistenza dev’essere sempre tempestiva e la manutenzione fatta a regola d’arte. Quello che cambia è l’approccio, ancora più flessibile e con la massima lungimiranza.

Stiamo lavorando da tempo a un’innovazione storica del nostro settore che va in questa direzione, ed è la manutenzione predittiva, che ci consentirà di prevedere gli eventuali guasti ben prima che succedono. In questo modo si potrà intervenire in modo ancora più efficiente, ottimizzando tempi e costi degli interventi. Alla base c’è sempre e comunque la scelta di non delocalizzare i magazzini e di moltiplicare i centri di assistenza, per essere sempre presenti, vicini al cliente. Un palazzo rinascimentale dalla bellezza unica che torna alla luce grazie ad un’attenta riqualificazione. Palazzo Manueli Guarienti è un edificio cinquecentesco realizzato nel 1540 dall’architetto e decoratore Bartolomeo Ridolfi su commissione di Francesco Manuelli.
