IT ALL BEGINS WITH SAFETY
SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING
If you notice a hazard or unsafe act, address it if possible or report it immediately. If you See Something, Say Something. Do not ignore potential risks or incidents
All employees are expected to report unsafe acts and suspicious activities Prompt reporting helps prevent security breaches, hazards, and injuries. Examples include unauthorized individuals in restricted areas, coworkers disregarding safety protocols, or distracted behaviour that could lead to accidents.
Employees should take action if they encounter a hazard that can be easily and safely addressed. Simple solutions can include:
Clearing a trip hazard out of the way
Cleaning up a minor spill
Ensuring walkways are free from clutter
Keeping areas free of trash or debris
Securing all loose cables or cords
Speaking up if someone appears distracted
Removing tools or objects that could fall and cause injury
Closing drawers or cabinet doors that are left open
The smallest action can have a significant impact on your safety and the safety of others.
CANADA CARTAGE DRIVER RECOGNIZED AS
AMTA DRIVER OF THE MONTH
Shannon Quick, company driver from our Edmonton team, has been recognized as the AMTA September 2025 Driver of the Month.

Safety First in every mile she drives Customer-focused with her dependable service.

Excellence Every Day, inspired by her daughter’s hugs and “glad you ’ re home” greetings.
Please join us in congratulating Shannon on this well-deserved recognition She is a shining example of what it means to live Canada Cartage’s True North values on and off the road.

WELLNESS CORNER
BOOSTING IMMUNITY FOR COLD AND FLU SEASON
As cooler weather arrives, our immune systems can use some extra care. Cold and flu cases often rise in the fall, but small daily habits can help strengthen your body’s natural defences.
Nourish with Seasonal Foods
Eating a diet rich in vitamins and minerals is one of the most effective
ways to maintain good health. Seasonal produce, including squash, apples, and root vegetables, offers antioxidants and fibre. Vitamin C–rich foods such as oranges and peppers support immune response, while zinc sources like pumpkin seeds and nuts aid immune cell function. Choosing whole, unprocessed foods and limiting added sugar will give your body the best chance to fight off illnesses
Prioritize Rest
Sleep is crucial for recovery and maintaining a strong immune system. Adults should aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. A consistent bedtime, limited screen use, and calming routines can improve both sleep quality and overall resilience.
Stay Hydrated
Cooler weather can make it easy to forget water, but hydration keeps your body functioning at its best. Fluids regulate temperature, flush out toxins, and protect your airways. Herbal teas and warm broths are hydrating and comforting options.
Manage Stress
Ongoing stress can weaken your immune system Activities such as deep breathing, meditation, yoga, or taking a walk outdoors can help lower stress while boosting overall well-being. By focusing on nutrition, sleep, hydration, and stress management, you’ll give your immune system the support it needs to stay strong this season.

CYBERSECURITY CHECKUP FOR FALL:
5 QUICK HABITS TO PROTECT YOUR DATA
As routines shift with back-to-school season and cooler weather, it’s the perfect time for a digital checkup. Refreshing your online habits helps protect your personal information.
1. Update your software - Outdated apps and systems are easy targets for hackers. Take a few minutes to install updates on your phone, laptop, and smart devices.
2 Strengthen your passwords - If you reuse the same password, now ’ s the time to change it. A password manager makes it simple to create and store unique, secure passwords
3 Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) - Adding an extra verification step like a code texted to your phone makes it much harder for someone to break into your accounts.
4. Back up your files - Use cloud storage or an external drive to protect important documents. This way, you won’t lose them to a cyberattack or a spilled coffee.
5 Watch for scams - Phishing attempts are becoming increasingly convincing, often utilizing AI to mimic genuine emails or texts Be wary of urgent requests, unexpected attachments, or offers that feel “off ”
By taking just a few minutes this season to refresh your digital habits, you’ll reduce risks and head into fall with greater peace of mind.

VOICE OF THE CUSTOMER
Chris Tubbs - Heavy Haul Project Manager – Jetco Houston, Texas
Nelva Martin - Director of Project Freight Logistics – Jetco Houston, Texas
Justin Rickerman - Business Development Specialist – Jetco Houston, Texas
I’m writing regarding the shipment of our industrial oven to Utah. The Jetco team members on site Chris Tubbs, Nelva Martin, and Justin Rickerman delivered an exceptional experience, unlike any I’ve had in my years managing projects at Epcon.
From quotation to hands-on support, they went above and beyond. All three personally helped ensure the unit was fully tarped and secured, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our crew and the driver to meet the delivery deadline. Where many would have said “that’s not my job,” they stepped in with dedication, teamwork, and a smile.
Chris showed calm leadership, intelligence, and resilience. Even under pressure, he remained responsive, steady, and determined qualities of a truly capable leader.
Nelva demonstrated commitment and grit, refining quotes, solving challenges, and ensuring every detail was right. She worked tirelessly, unafraid to get her hands dirty, and impressed everyone with her perseverance.
Justin has consistently built trust through professionalism, candor, and persistence. He faces challenges head-on, fosters strong relationships, and showed the same work ethic on-site earning respect through action, not just words.
This kind of dedication is rare. It reflects not only on them individually but also on Jetco’s ability to hire and develop outstanding people. Please accept this email as my personal handshake of thanks to you and your team.
Jetco is truly cut from a different cloth than any company I’ve worked with, and I look forward to continuing our partnership.
