“Can you all believe that after nearly three years - we are finally finished with one floor. My first meeting with NOAA was on May 9, 2019. Some GSA people met even earlier with NOAA. Kudos to everyone.

Final inspection will be early next week. Then NOAA people can occupy the floor. Overall, the punch walk went very well. It was one of the least painless walks that most of us recalled. Bognet did a great job of construction.” Mary Lou Bakker Lease Projects Division (WPIC) Office of Design and Construction of GSA

Earth Month

In celebration of Earth Day on Friday, April 22, we have decided to do our part to contribute to recycling initiatives that will help preserve our community for the future. The Fun Committee has been working to build partnerships with our cleaning crew, trash collection service, and local environmental programs to help produce meaningful initiatives and achievable goals. The following are simple initiatives to get the month started! • • • •

We have decided to eliminate single use Water Bottles. Please bring in a reusable bottle or use the glasses above the sink. Used Ink/Toner Cartridges will be recycled through one of two local recycling agencies. Please continue to give spent cartridges to Amy Wemyss! Dumpsters are labeled to distinguish trash from recycling. Though the bins are the same color, the recycling bin to the left has green stickers posted. Please be cautious when going to throw away trash! Signage will be posted around the office to help our team sort through what can and cannot be recycled in Fairfax County/with our trash & recycling collection service.

P R OGR ES S U P DAT E S “Bognet Construction invited the local fire department for a tour of the structure, sprinkler systems, fire rated surfaces, and egress points. Fairfax County firefighters as well as the Fire Chief arrived today at 12:30PM and toured the building for an hour. All 15 members were very pleased with the building and were grateful for all the information provided by the Bognet field team. Overall, the meeting was a great success, and Bognet is excited to welcome the afternoon shift for a tour later. Once the locking system is installed, we have invited them to return to tour again.” - Superintendent Don Blevins, Walker Road Senior Living Facility
