Letter from Dennis LeStrange Over the last several years BlueCrest has been making investments in, and changes to, our overall business. We have been thoroughly reviewing every facet of our company in order to identify areas of improvement and ways we can provide greater value to our employees and partners. I have personally spent the time reviewing the results of the latest Employee Engagement Survey and know that communication is integral to the success of our business.

Knowing that our employees are at the forefront of our brand, we knew we had to further develop and improve upon our communication internally. We are excited by the new digital format of our newsletter. By distributing this newsletter each quarter, we hope to be able to have a communication piece that will be shared openly with all of our employees. Something that will add value quickly, but spur ideas, dialogue, and inspiration. And best of all, keep everyone fully informed of all things BlueCrest.

In continuing with the theme of fostering ideas and cross-business communication, we have recently introduced members of our new Employee Ambassador Program.

They are quickly working to identify ways to further enhance our business in all areas, from Supply Chain to the overall culture of BlueCrest. But we are not just going to brainstorm and execute, we are going to hold ourselves accountable by monitoring our progress with the introduction of some simple, repeatable and consistent Key Performance Indicators. These will be integral in determining our success in 2021 and will be further defined in this newsletter.

Much planning has gone on behind the scenes in the first quarter and as we move into Q2, our efforts will start to take form. Our hope is that all of you will continue your commitment to delivering value, dominating the market, and focusing on execution. The first three months are behind us and we should be proud of all of our accomplishments. We are BlueCrest!

EvoluJet™, Lead Generation Program for our service engineers

To support the launch of the new EvoluJet, BlueCrest Service is kicking off a lead generation program to help build our knowledge of potential EvoluJet opportunities.

All North American field service technicians are eligible for one-time payouts for both qualified leads and converted opportunities related to the EvoluJet product (minimum 4 submissions). Leads should be submitted through the D365 Field Service platform so they can automatically be submitted to the Marketing Team for tracking and reporting. Leads will be compiled monthly and payouts processed in the subsequent month.

Programs and Promotions

Who are the ideal targets for the EvoluJet printer?

•T ransactional in-plants and/or transactional service bureaus who currently use toner (ideally producing 1-3 million print impressions monthly on cut sheet toner systems). The EvoluJet is a great option to displace these existing systems at a lower run cost of color inkjet.

This high-quality, color cut sheet inkjet printer is ideal for operations who use monochrome or color toner printing technology and can benefit from moving to high quality, more cost-effective inkjet. Automated proof of mailing and address management is delivering instant results for this Fortune 300 Insurance firm Mailing Smarter In some US states, insurance firms must be able to provide proof of mailing for certain client communications. For example, when sending cancellation letters, insurance firms need to know for sure that policy cancellations have reached the intended recipient in order to protect against any future litigious claims to the contrary.

For one US-based Fortune 300 insurance firm, providing this proof of mailing was becoming an increasingly expensive process. The company was using Certificate of Mailing® for USPS “mail acceptance” and Certified Mail® to verify that a mail piece has been delivered or that a delivery has been attempted.

As we leave 2020 with a solid foundation, and embrace 2021, we have many things to look forward to.

Highlights from 2020:

Q1 2021:

• We saw 14% growth of overall written business.

• Overall, we’ve had a successful start to Q1 in International for our written business.

• We established our District Strategy with the new management team.

• We improved our processes significantly with D-365.

• We reviewed and rightsized all local P&L.

• We have enjoyed a second wave of orders from DGFIP and graphic sales in France.

• We have deals from UK, Nordics, and Partner Channels.

• We landed strategic wins, such as Paragon (UK), Zenrosai, DGFIP, and Datenpartner.

• I’m pleased to share with you that our ANZ and German Teams have secured two strategic wins in ANZ (3 Epics), and Germany (2 Epics and 4 MPS’s, replacing 11 Kern inserters).

A Look Ahead at 2021:

Onwards & upwards!

We started our new business year with kickoff meetings in each District for all employees. While different than our usual in-person meetings, these kickoffs created the right spirit, energy, and motivation for the quarters ahead.

What a great pleasure to see that vaccines are being rolled out across the globe. COVID-19 is here to stay with us, potentially for years, so we will continue to adapt as we always have.

As I have shared with the International Team, we have solid ambitions for 2021, defined with clear initiatives for financial performance as well process improvements.

For sure, we shall be opening up for business again in the coming months, and this will enable us to interact and meet with our clients in face-to-face meetings once more for commercial discussions.

• Overall revenues to come back to pre-COVID business levels.

Whatever the “new normal” looks like, I’m confident that we as a business will have a prosperous 2021.

• Specific hardware growth initiative.

• To fight for Service stabilization, and growth of Professional Service.

• To grow our Software solutions.

• Improve Parts process and delivery stability.

Steve Duncan, Eastern Division, Pennsylvania Manager: Rick Judge Steve has been a savior. Our area was hit hard with COVID at a site. We had three reps out at a five-rep site. Field support was non-existent. Steve volunteered to go into the site knowing the situation and cover the IJ printer that was down.

While covering, he left site (after shift) to go to another site that had a machine down and VP exposure. He never leaves home without being prepared to stay overnight somewhere if needed. While covering a site and assisting with escalations, he worked two Saturdays to cover last minute client requests.

Geoff Eggleton, Eastern Division, Alabama Manager: Jim Bullard Geoff provides technical support and escalations for the Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia territories. He has been dispatched a couple times with short notice to help with down machines. He also routinely provides phone support, helping anywhere he can. Geoff recently became involved in an account in LaGrange GA driving almost 3 hours a day for several weeks helping to resolve a customer SAT issue.

His knowledge of the equipment and his ability to earn the customer’s trust helped to turn around a dire situation. The owner of that account recently raved about Geoff saying how much they appreciated him and the extra effort he demonstrated.

Charlie Brown, Eastern Division, Florida Manager: Tom Baglivo Charlie is a CSR who works in the North Carolina area.

Recently a major client, located in Oaks Pennsylvania, experienced a huge outbreak of COVID which also affected the BlueCrest technicians at the site, leaving the Client short on Operators and Technicians, and severely impacted their client’s SLAs. Charlie was asked on a Friday if he could travel to Pennsylvania and help the site maintain the operation.

Charlie selflessly rearranged his home life and work schedule and drove up to the site on Sunday to report to work on Monday. The Client was extremely happy to have Charlie to maintain their productivity.

New Employee - Training

Tom Mihalics & Anthony Creer, Eastern Division, Manager: Tom Baglivo Recently hired on-site technicians at BCBS site in Columbia SC Tom and Anthony. Following training in Danbury for 2 weeks on Epic and MSE, Area manager Tom Baglivo reached out to them to see how things were going and they said that this has been a great training experience and that they are learning so much. Their attitude is great! They want to make a difference at the site and cannot wait to share and implement what they learned.

Connie had the top results for Stewart Simmons team on the February Outcome Based Challenge Goal. Connie is the only CSR onsite at Raymond James in Tampa, FL. Connie used the Top 10 Alarms for each of her 3 machines and chose Epic 03 because it had a significant amount of “Failed to Feed” errors at the engine feeder. The Top 10 Alarm report for February showed that there were only 26 total Fail to Feed errors from the Engine: Feeder. This was a reduction of 491 jams and damaged envelopes which results in less cost to our client for materials as well as increased machine throughput and efficiency.

Recently Todor realized production at the site on 2 inserters were not reconciling the piece to the MRDF, causing OSG to stop production. Todor analyzed the issue and discovered it was the DDS system (a 3rd party product) causing the issue. Todor worked diligently with DDS in resolving the issue, thus allowing OSG to maintain their SLAs with full integrity.
