Cuba actualizó sus protocolos sanitarios desde el día 5 de junio para los viajeros que llegan a la isla. La empresa Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S. A. pone sus servicios a disposición de todos los centros hoteleros del país, con el objetivo de que la isla se mantenga como un destino seguro para sus visitantes.

Geografía: Ubicada a la entrada del golfo de México, el archipiélago cubano está formado por la isla de Cuba, la Isla de la Juventud y aproximadamente 4,195 cayos e islotes. Cerca de 140 km la separan las Bahamas; 77 km Haití; 180 km de Florida; 210 km Cancún y 146 km de Jamaica.

La silueta de Cuba, alargada y estrecha, alcanza los 120 km de longitud y entre 32 y 145 km de ancho. En total el territorio abarca 110.922 km, lo que la distingue como la mayor de las Antillas y por su ubicación geográfica la llaman también la llave del Golfo.

Built with one hundred percent natural materials, this bar rises in line with the beach and offers a space where we can enjoy nature and completely relax. The brown tones of the wood that predominate in this area combine perfectly with the blues that imitate the sea and decorate the bar's armchairs and hammocks. Unos escalones de madera nos llevan al segundo piso, donde los cómodos asientos a modo de cama son la excusa perfecta para cerrar los ojos y solo disfrutar del sonido de las olas que rompen contra la arena a pocos metros. PROTOCOLOS SANITARIOS PARA VIAJEROS

Dada la realidad actual, en la que la protección sanitaria debe ser priorizada, Cuba está en constante actualización de sus protocolos de seguridad para garantizar a cada uno de sus visitantes una estancia segura. A la cabeza del programa sanitario puesto en funcionamiento en cada centro turístico del país se encuentra la empresa Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S. A., cuyo trabajo multidisciplinario permite que cada estrategia que se adopte en la isla con el objetivo de cuidar a quienes la visitan se aplique en consonancia con la siempre cambiante nueva realidad en la que vivimos.

Los que decidan visitar la isla mediante un paquete turístico podrán organizar su viaje a través de un operador o agencia, que garantizarán que el alojamiento, el transporte y cualquier otro servicio que se desee agregar estén incluidos. Todo visitante debe presentar, a su llegada, una prueba de diagnóstico RT-PCR negativa para la COVID-19, siempre realizada con un periodo de 72 horas de antelación y certificada por autoridades sanitarias de su país de origen. Además, es necesario que los viajeros cuenten con una póliza de seguro que cubra el tratamiento de la COVID-19.

Una vez en territorio cubano, se realizará otro PCR cuyos resultados estarán disponibles 24 horas después.

El visitante podrá trasladarse a su hotel y esperar sus resultados ahí, si es negativo puede comenzar sus vacaciones y solo relajarse. En caso de ser positivo al virus, los servicios médicos de cada centro hotelero garantizan un cuidado de excelencia bajo estrictos protocolos sanitarios que incluyen al paciente y a sus familiares.

Al final del viaje, y en caso de ser necesario, el huésped puede solicitar una prueba de PCR al equipo médico de su hotel para poder llevar consigo a su próximo destino. Este test se deberá pagar mediante tarjeta magnética.

Lo que debes saber para tu viaje a Cuba

Those who decide to visit the island through a tourist package may organize their trip via an operator or agency, which will guarantee that lodging, transportation and any other service they wish to add are included. All visitors are required to present a PCR test with negative results, taken in your departing country within the last 72 hours and certified by the health authorities of their country of origin. In addition, it is required to show proof of Covid-19 insurance Upon arrival in Cuba, another PCR will be performed and the results will be available within 24 hours. Visitors can go to their hotel and wait for the results; if they test negative, they can start their vacations and just relax.

In case of testing positive to the virus, the medical services of each hotel will guarantee an excellent care under strict sanitary protocols that include the patient and his/her relatives.

At the end of the trip, and if necessary, guests may request a PCR test to the hotel's medical team in order to take it with them to their next destination. This test must be paid by magnetic card.

Para los que viajan sin paquetes turísticos es obligatorio un periodo de cuarentena de 6 noches y 7 días, a excepción de los que lleguen al país por los aeropuertos de La Habana o Santiago de Cuba pues solo deberán estar aislados durante 5 noches y 6 días.

Esta cuarentena se realizará en uno de los centros hoteleros de aislamiento que pone a disposición el país, que podrá reservarse mediante las agencias de viajes antes de su llegada a Cuba o en el buró de ventas disponible en cada aeropuerto de la isla.

Estos viajeros deberán hacerse una prueba PCR al llegar al país y otra al sexto o quinto día de su aislamiento, en dependencia de la provincia por la que arriben. Dichas pruebas deberán ser negativas antes de abandonar el centro de aislamiento.

For those traveling without tourism packages, a quarantine period of 6 nights and 7 days is mandatory, except for those arriving to the country through Havana or Santiago de Cuba airports, as they must quarantine for 5 nights and 6 days.

This quarantine will be carried out in one of the isolation hotel facilities available in the country, and can be booked through travel agencies prior to arrival or at the sales office available at each of the island´s airports.

These travelers will be required to take a PCR test upon arrival and a second one on the fifth or sixth isolation day, depending on the province through which they arrive.

These tests must be negative before leaving the isolation center.

SOBERANÍA SANITARIA La estructura sanitaria y biofarmacéutica cubana ha demostrado, en este periodo de crisis epidemiológica mundial, su capacidad científica y tecnológica para enfrentar el azote de la COVID-19.

La comunidad científica cubana, integrada al Instituto Finlay de Vacunas (IFV), al Centro de Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología (CIGB) y al Grupo Empresarial BioCubaFarma, ha desarrollado fármacos cuya aplicación ha resultado de gran eficacia para el protocolo de enfrentamiento a la crisis sanitaria y ha contribuido a la baja letalidad que muestra la isla (0,67) con respecto a la región de Las Américas (2,44) y al mundo (2,08).

El 85 por ciento de los medicamentos utilizados en los tratamientos a los enfermos contagiados con el virus SARS-CoV-2 en Cuba son de fabricación nacional. En Cuba, se encuentran en proceso de ensayo clínico cinco prototipos de vacunas preventivas que parten de tecnologías disponibles en el país, con formulaciones diferentes de plataformas de otros inmunógenos cubanos muy seguros.

Entre los inmunomoduladores que se utilizan está la Biomodulina T, empleada en el fortalecimiento del sistema inmune de las personas vulnerables para la protección contra enfermedades respiratorias en general.

Los resultados de la aplicación en Cuba del Interferón, y los estudios clínicos llevados a cabo en alrededor de 40 países, demuestran que se trata de un medicamento efectivo en el tratamiento de la COVID-19. Tras su administración a pacientes hospitalizados, solo el 2 por ciento de los infectados transitó por formas graves de la enfermedad, además, se acortó su tiempo de hospitalización.

In Cuba, five prototypes of preventive vaccines are undergoing clinical trials based on technologies available in the country, with formulations based on different platforms of other very safe Cuban immunogens.

El Nasalferón es un producto de administración nasal que, debido a sus propiedades inmunomoduladoras y antivirales, induce una protección general contra el SARSCOV-2 sin llegar a ser una vacuna. Ya suman en Cuba más de 100 mil personas favorecidas con las bondades de este fármaco y, de ellas, solo 634 se infectaron con el virus, solo una pasó por un estadio grave de la enfermedad y ninguna falleció.

En los bajos índices de letalidad de la isla ha jugado un papel importante el uso de Itolizumab y Jusvinza en el tratamiento precoz de la reacción hiperinflamatoria que puede provocar la COVID-19. Estos medicamentos han propiciado altas cifras de recuperación de pacientes y una mejora clínica y radiológica del 70 por ciento.

Las vacunas cubanas en fase final de su ensayo clínico

Nasalferon is a product of intranasal administration that induces a general protection against SARS-COV-2 thanks to its immunomodulatory and antiviral properties without being an actual vaccine. More than 100,000 people have already been treated with this drug in Cuba, with 634 of them acquire the virus, only one has developed a severe stage of the disease and none has died.

The use of Itolizumab and Jusvinza, for early treatment of the hyperinflammatory response that COVID-19 can produce, has played an important role in the low mortality rate of the island. These drugs have resulted in a high patient recovery rate and a 70% improvement in clinical and radiological results.

Soberana Pediatría es el nombre del primer ensayo clínico de candidatos vacunales cubanos contra la COVID-19 en niños y adolescentes, que dio comienzo el 14 de junio en La Habana y realiza en paralelo sus fases I/II con el propósito de evaluar seguridad, reactogenicidad e inmunogenicidad de los prototipos de fármacos profilácticos desarrollados por el Instituto Finlay de Vacunas.

Este es un ensayo abierto, multicéntrico, sin placebo y su esquema de vacunación es de dos dosis separadas de Soberana 02 y una tercera dosis de Soberana Plus, aplicadas en 350 voluntarios con edades comprendidas entre 3 y 18 años.

A la par, el Centro de Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología espera la aprobación del Centro para el Control Estatal de Medicamentos, Equipos y Dispositivos Médicos, del ensayo clínico pediátrico Ismaelillo que se desarrollará en fase I/II para evaluar, igualmente, seguridad, reactogenicidad e inmunogenicidad del candidato Abdala.

Inocular estos candidatos vacunales cubanos a la población pediátrica en momentos en que esta representa un alto por ciento de los casos confirmados a la COVID-19, implica una alta responsabilidad científica por lo que han sido elegidas plataformas tecnológicas con trayectorias de seguridad y eficacia bien establecidas, y con amplia evidencia de desempeño.

Soberana Pediatría and Ismaelillo Cuba seeks vaccines for its children and youths

Soberana Pediatría is the name of Cuba's first clinical trial of a COVID-19 vaccine candidate in children and adolescents, which started on June 14 in Havana and is conducting in parallel its phases I/II with the purpose of evaluating safety, reactogenicity and immunogenicity of the prophylactic drug prototypes developed by the Finlay Vaccine Institute.

This is an open, multicenter, nonplacebo trial, with a vaccination scheme consisting of two separate doses of Soberana 02 and a third dose of Soberana Plus, given to 350 volunteers between the ages of 3 and 18 years.

At the same time, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology is awaiting approval from the Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices for the Ismaelillo pediatric clinical trial, which will also be conducted simultaneously in phases I/II to evaluate the safety, reactogenicity and immunogenicity of the Abdala vaccine candidate.

Inoculating these Cuban vaccine candidates to the pediatric population at a time when it represents a high percentage of confirmed COVID-19 cases, implies a high scientific responsibility, hence the choice of a technical platform with proven safety and efficacy, as well as ample evidence of performance.

PROBADA EFICACIA CONTRA LA COVID-19 Los candidatos vacunales cubanos Abdala y Soberana 02 probaron, en análisis interinos de sus ensayos clínicos en fase III, valores de eficacia por encima del 50 por ciento que recomienda la Organización Mundial de la Salud, resultados que los validan como vacunas eficaces contra la Covid-19.

Abdala, desarrollada por el Centro de Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología de Cuba, en su esquema de tres dosis, logró un 92. 28 por ciento de eficacia, y las dos dosis de Soberana 02, del Instituto Finlay de Vacunas, alcanzaron el 62 por ciento, en mediciones realizadas contra las nuevas cepas circulantes actualmente.

Próximamente se conocerá la eficacia del esquema completo de Soberana 02 con una tercera dosis de Soberana Plus, que se espera esté entre el 85 y el 95 por ciento.

Estos positivos resultados, hacen pensar que en breve el Centro para el Control Estatal de Medicamentos, Equipos y Dispositivos Médicos de Cuba, emita la autorización del uso de emergencia para ambas vacunas.

Dicho permiso permitirá la vacunación masiva en la isla y la presentación de los resultados a publicaciones y organismos internacionales, para validar a las que serían, oficialmente, las primeras vacunas contra la COVID-19 desarrolladas en América Latina.

Abdala and Soberana 02 Proven efficacy against Covid-19

The Cuban vaccine candidates Abdala and Soberana 02 have shown an efficacy above the 50% recommended by the World Health Organization in interim analysis of their phase III clinical trials, results that validate them as potential effective vaccines against COVID-19.

Abdala, developed by Cuba's Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology achieved 92.28% efficacy in its three-dose scheme, while two doses of Soberana 02, developed by the Finlay Vaccine Institute, reached 62% efficacy, in measurements taken against the new strains currently circulating.

The efficacy of the complete Soberana 02 scheme with a third dose of Soberana Plus, expected to be between 85 and 95%, will be available soon.

These positive results suggest that Cuba's Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices will soon issue the emergency use authorization of both vaccines.

This authorization will allow mass vaccination on the island and the release of the results to international publications and organizations, to validate what would be, officially, the first vaccines against COVID-19 developed in Latin America.

En la década del 40 del siglo XVI el presbítero Miguel de Velázquez, estimado como el primer músico cubano, motivaba a los santiagueros a oír la música que salía de la capilla de la Catedral, fundada en 1522 y que se conserva en su condición de primera catedral de Cuba.

Su capilla fue convertida en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, por el maestro y compositor de música religiosa Esteban Salas, en un conservatorio, el único y más importante centro de la música coral en la isla hasta 1789, por lo cual es reconocido como Padre de la Música Culta Cubana.

Al igual que en todo el país, la música traída por los colonizadores españoles se mezcló, en la única Ciudad Héroe de Cuba, con las melodías que cantaban los esclavos africanos; esa mixtura bendita creó nuevos sonidos y ritmos que hoy estremecen a bailadores de todo el orbe.

Hijo de esta argamasa es el Son, una de las formas básicas de la música cubana que evolucionó por poseer una sólida base rítmica, melódica y conceptual, y dió origen a otros géneros.

En septiembre de 2012 fue declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la nación.

Los padres del son, entre los que predomina el santiaguero Miguel Matamoros, junto al habanero Ignacio Piñeiro y el matancero Arsenio Rodríguez, se veneran hasta el presente pues no han cesado de influir en los compositores cubanos contemporáneos.

The soundness of Santiago de Cuba's musical pillars corroborates that this city has been music since its very foundation.

In the 1640s, the presbyter Miguel de Velázquez, considered as the first Cuban musician, inspired the people of Santiago de Cuba to listen to the music that emanated from the chapel of the Cathedral founded in 1522, and which is still preserved as the first cathedral of Cuba.

Its chapel was transformed into a conservatory in the second half of the 18th century by the teacher and composer of religious music Esteban Salas, it was the only and most important centre of choral music on the island until 1789, for which he is recognised as the Father of Cuban art music.

Like throughout the country, the music brought by the Spanish colonisers was mixed in Cuba's only Hero City with the melodies sung by African slaves; this blessed mixture created new sounds and rhythms that today thrill dancers from all over the globe.

A child of this mixture is the son, one of the fundamental forms of Cuban music, which has evolved and given rise to other genres because of its solid rhythmic, melodic and fundamental basis; in September 2012 it was declared National Cultural Heritage.

The fathers of Son, among them Miguel Matamoros from Santiago de Cuba, Ignacio Piñeiro from Havana and Arsenio Rodríguez from Matanzas, are revered to this day for they have not ceased to influence contemporary Cuban composers.

La trova, otra hija de este mestizaje cultural, nace en las medianías del siglo XIX con Pepe Sánchez de quien son valiosos herederos Sindo Garay, Alberto Villalón y Rosendo Ruiz, entre una pléyade de grandes trovadores santiagueros.

También prestigia el universo melódico santiaguero La Tumba Francesa, traída por los emigrantes galos y haitianos que llegaron huyendo de la Revolución de Haití de 1789.

Esta tradición músico-danzaria ha sobrevivido al paso del tiempo como Sociedad de Tumba Francesa «La Caridad de Oriente» y fue declarada por la UNESCO el 7 de noviembre de 2003 Obra Maestra del Patrimonio Oral e Inmaterial de la Humanidad.

Santiago es una perpetua fiesta, se organizan allí atractivos eventos que realzan toda la magnificencia de su tesoro musical; entre los de mayor participación se encuentra el Festival del Son Miguel Matamoros, Festival del Caribe, Festival Internacional de Coros, Festival de la Trova Pepe Sánchez y el Carnaval santiaguero –declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación el 25 de julio de 2015–. En esta celebración popular participan congas centenarias de genuinos estilos como los Hoyos, Paso Franco, San Agustín, El Guayabito, Alto Pino y San Pedrito, conjuntamente con los Paseos Cabildo Carabalí Isuama y Cabildo Carabalí Olugo.

The trova, another child of this cultural mix, was born in the mid-19th century with Pepe Sánchez, whose valuable heirs are Sindo Garay, Alberto Villalon, and Rosendo Ruiz, among a pleiad of other great troubadours from Santiago.

La Tumba Francesa, brought by the Gallic and Haitian immigrants who arrived fleeing the Haitian Revolution of 1789, also enhances the melodic universe of Santiago; this musical-dance tradition has survived the passing of time as the Sociedad de Tumba Francesa "La Caridad de Oriente"; it was declared by UNESCO on November 7, 2003 a Masterpiece

of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Santiago is a continuous celebration, attractive events are organized there that enhance all the magnificence of its musical treasure; among the most important are the Miguel Matamoros Son Festival, the Festival del Caribe, the International Choir Festival, the Pepe Sánchez Trova Festival, and the Carnival of Santiago, declared National Cultural Heritage on July 25, 2015.

Centenary congas of genuine styles such as Los Hoyos, Paso Franco, San Agustín, El Guayabito, Alto Pino and San Pedrito participate in this popular

celebration, along with the Paseos Cabildo Carabalí Isuama and Cabildo Carabalí Olugo.

Santiago de Cuba aspires to be declared a Creative City of Music by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), a category that will strengthen the international promotion of the virtues of Santiago de Cuba's music.

Un parque natural en contacto con el pasado El Valle de la Prehistoria se levantó en un terreno de once hectáreas pertenecientes al Parque Natural Baconao, declarado en 1987 Reserva Mundial de la Biosfera por la UNESCO. Cuenta la leyenda que en las más de 84 mil hectáreas de tierra que conforman esta área natural puede escucharse todavía la melodía de caracoles que tocaba el pequeño Baconao, un joven indígena que un día desapareció y dejó atrás solamente su música. Llena de la magia de sus primeros pobladores, esta reserva es el lugar perfecto para explorar y conocer más sobre la naturaleza endémica de la isla caribeña.

A natural park in touch with the past The Prehistoric Valley was erected on an eleven-hectare plot of land belonging to the Baconao Natural Park, declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1987. Legend has it that in the more than 84,000 hectares of land that form this natural area you can still hear the melody of seashells played by little Baconao, a young indigenous boy who disappeared one day, leaving only his music behind. Filled with the magic of its first settlers, this reserve is the perfect place to explore and learn more about the endemic nature of the Caribbean island.

Gracias al uso del ferrocemento y sus aplicaciones, los enormes animales del Valle de la Prehistoria vuelven a la vida ante nuestros ojos, con tamaños que intentan acercarse lo más posible a la realidad. Este es el único parque de su tipo en toda la isla y la región caribeña, en general, por lo que los visitantes llegan desde todo el mundo para asombrarse ante sus maravillas.

El parque prehistórico se organiza por eras geológicas, así, los visitantes convertidos en exploradores de otros mundos podrán ver desde dinosaurios descansando cerca de cascadas hasta escenas de caza entre animales y humanos. El recorrido está organizado de forma tal que los aventureros puedan tener varias pausas para descansar, un detalle que se agradece pues Santiago de Cuba es conocida por ser la Tierra caliente y el sol caribeño resulta bastante fuerte aquí. SANTIAGUERA PARA LA TROVA CUBANA Fundada en la década del 50 del siglo XX, la Casa de la Trova Pepe Sánchez de Santiago de Cuba se ha convertido en el centro de la vida musical de una ciudad que se destaca por sus exponentes de la trova tradicional cubana. La calle Heredia alberga en esta pequeña vivienda la historia cultural no solo de una ciudad sino de un país, pues este centro es reconocido por sus festivales, conciertos y reuniones de grandes de la música de la isla.

El Festival Internacional de la Trova Pepe Sánchez Cada año, el mes de marzo se llena de lo mejor de la trova cubana gracias al enigmático Festival Pepe Sánchez que se celebra en la Casa de la Trova santiaguera.

El encuentro musical se realiza en honor al padre de la canción trovadoresca en la isla y autor del tema Tristeza, el primer bolero cubano. El cierre de este festival coincide con la fecha de su natalicio, el 19 de marzo, proclamada como Día del Trovador.

Esta fiesta de la trova se sale del marco institucional e inunda la ciudad. Calles, escuelas y parques se convierten en el escenario elegido por los músicos de Cuba y el mundo que regalan sus canciones durante estos festejos. Conciertos, conferencias y homenajes forman parte de las actividades socioculturales de este evento que se ha ganado un lugar importante en la historia de la cancionística cubana a nivel internacional.

En este 2021, la quincuagésima edición del festival se realizó de manera virtual y estuvo dedicada a Alejandro Almenares, el afamado trovador santiaguero.

Considerado un pilar fundamental de la trova cubana, el músico recibió la Distinción por la Cultura Nacional y el Premio a la Excelencia que ofrece la Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM).

Una parte esencial de la celebración anual del Pepe Sánchez es el recorrido por el Sendero de los Trovadores, en la necrópolis de Santa Ifigenia, en el que se homenajea a grandes de este género musical. Este año, el programa del festival fue transmitido, además, por el canal Clave, un elemento que contribuyó al gran éxito que tuvo incluso bajo las circunstancias de esta nueva realidad. En la clausura del festival se pudo conocer que el próximo año el evento estará dedicado a Eliades Ochoa, uno de los grandes de la reconocida agrupación Buena Vista Social Club y director del Cuarteto Patria.

En la Casa de la Trova de Santiago de Cuba el amante de la música encontrará su sitio. En este espacio no solo se ofrecen conciertos a diario sino que es posible conocer sobre la historia y la vida cultural de la ciudad con solo sentarse y disfrutar de las fotografías que cubren las paredes de su sala de conciertos.

Ubicada a pocos metros del céntrico Parque Céspedes, esta cuna de la trova cubana es punto de obligada visita para todos los que recorren la ciudad y se convierte en ese lugar al que siempre querrás regresar.

In the Casa de la Trova in Santiago de Cuba, the music lover will find his place. Not only does this space offer daily concerts, but it is possible to learn about the history and cultural life of the city simply by sitting back and admiring the photographs on the walls of its concert hall. Located just a few metres from the Parque Céspedes in the city centre, this cradle of Cuban trova is a must-see for anyone visiting the city and a place they will always want to return to.

This trova festival goes beyond the institutional framework and floods the entire city. Streets, schools and parks become the stage of choice for musicians from Cuba and around the world who share their songs in these celebrations.

Concerts, conferences and tributes are part of the socio-cultural activities of this event that has earned a prominent place in the history of Cuban song writing at an international level.

In 2021, the 50th edition of the festival took place virtually and was dedicated to the memory of Alejandro Almenares, the renowned trovador from Santiago de Cuba. The musician, considered a fundamental pillar of Cuban trova, received the Distinction for the National Culture and the Award of Excellence offered by the Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM).

An essential part of this festival's annual celebrations is the Troubadours' Path, held at the necropolis of Santa Ifigenia, where tribute is paid to the great figures of this musical genre. This year, the festival´s programme was also broadcast on the Cuban TV channel Clave, which contributed to its great success even under the circumstances of this new reality.

At the closing of the festival, it was announced that next year's event will be dedicated to Eliades Ochoa, one of the greats of the famous Buena Vista Social Club and the director of the Cuarteto Patria.

Alexander Abreu no ha parado de sorprender con su sonido característico desde que se graduó de la Escuela Nacional de Arte con solo 20 años. Trompetista nato, este compositor puso a todos al borde de su asiento cuando decidió fundar en 2008 su agrupación Havana D´Primera, una banda que le daría un vuelco al panorama musical de Cuba. Este 2021 la popular orquesta nos regala un álbum único que solo puede describirse como un viaje atrás en el tiempo: Será que se acabó.

El nuevo disco de Havana D´Primera es un homenaje a la música popular bailable que se hizo en la isla durante las décadas de los 80 y 90. Havana D'Primera's music never ends Alexander Abreu has not ceased to amaze us all with his characteristic sound since he graduated from the National School of Arts (ENA) at the early age of 20. A born trumpet player, this composer put everyone on the edge of their seat when he decided to found his group Havana D'Primera in 2008, a band that would turn Cuba's music scene upside down. In this 2021 the popular orchestra gives us a unique album that can only be described as a trip back in time: Será que se acabó.

Havana D'Primera's new album is a tribute to the popular dance music made on the island during the 80s and 90s. Alexander Abreu himself admitted that this is an idea he had in mind for years and that he has finally been able to take it to the recording studio. The concept behind an album entirely dedicated to the Cuban rhythms that made previous generations dance is the rescue of an important musical heritage and the opportunity to show it to a younger generation that may not know many of the songs and groups that are paid homage to in Será que se acabó.

Havana D'Primera's Journey Through Time This new album is a collaboration between the record labels Abdala Productions S.A. and Páfata Productions that perfectly captures the original essence of each of its songs and combines it with the already distinctive sound of Havana D'Primera.

The group's journey goes beyond rescuing and updating the singles that made Cuba dance at the end of the 20th century, it incorporates as guests some of the artists who gave life to these rhythms. José Luis Cortés "El Tosco" provides his voice in the single Échale limón and Elito Revé in Mi salsa. Se aceptan las tarjetas de crédito siempre que NO sean emitidas por bancos estadounidenses ni sus sucursales en otros países.

El visitante a nuestro país debe poseer un pasaporte vigente y la correspondiente visa o Tarjeta de Turista. Se exceptúan los países con los que Cuba mantiene convenios de libre visado. Las Tarjetas de Turista pueden solicitarse antes las representaciones consulares cubanas. También en las agencias de viajes y líneas aéreas.

Al llegar a la aduana, se entiende por turista aquella persona no residente permanentemente en el país, independientemente de su nacionalidad, que entre al mismo por razones de placer, negocio, salud, deporte, por un periodo mayor de 24 horas y menor de 6 meses.

Los turistas podrán importar sus efectos personales, los que entran al país como una admisión temporal; libres del pago de derecho de aduanas y deben ser reexportados a su salida.

Hasta cincuenta ( 50) unidades de tabaco torcido, con la condición que estén contenidos en el envases originales, cerrado, sellado y con el holograma oficial establecido, exigencias sin las cuales no se autoriza la exportación.

Cantidad en exceso de cincuenta (50) unidades de tabaco torcido, las cuales no pueden exceder el valor de los 5,000.00 CUC, deben presentar la factura de venta oficial expedida por la red de tiendas autorizadas a comercializar tabacos torcidos cubanos, correspondiente a todo el tabaco torcido que intenten extraer y que necesariamente tiene que estar contenidos en envases originales, cerrados y sellados y con el holograma oficial establecido.

Las cantidades de tabaco torcido en exceso de las cincuentas (50) unidades que no sea declarado por el viajero y cualquier cantidad que exceda lo declarado, o que habiéndose declarado no se acredite su adquisición lícita mediante la factura de venta oficial o los envases no posean los atributos y demás exigencias que lo identifican como tabaco torcido cubano, dará lugar al decomiso.

De igual forma podrá llevar hasta 3 botellas de licor y 200 cigarrillos, Souvenirs o recuerdos de su estancia en el país.

Amounts of twisted tobacco in excess of fifty (50) units not declared by the traveler or any other amount exceeding the one declared, or that even being declared for that matter, either its acquisition is not duly credited by an official sales invoice or packing containers do not meet the identification requirements of Cuban twisted tobacco, will be seized by Custom authorities.

Similarly, tourists may export up to three (3) liquor bottles and two hundred (200) cigarettes, souvenirs or mementos of their stay in the country.
