Bridgeland is one of the largest master-planned communities in the Houston area in more than 30 years. This 12,000-acre development will eventually be home to 65,000 residents. Bridgeland Development, LP, sought to preserve and enhance the natural surroundings of the Bridgeland community with an innovative hydrologic design of waterways and bridges.

Cross Creek Ranch is a 3,200-acre, mixed-use masterplanned community located in Fulshear, Texas. It contains a 150-acre linear park, more than 609 acres of lakes and water features, a recreational center and more. BGE, Inc. provided planning services for conceptual land use, acreage and yield analysis, project phasing plans, layout design of residential streets and lots, commercial site planning, preparation and submittal of preliminary plats and coordination with local governmental agencies.

DUNHAM POINTE

Dunham Pointe is a 1,327-acre master-planned community located on the south side of US Hwy 290, approximately 1.5 miles east of Grand Parkway (SH 99). It will contain approximately 220 acres of detention/ amenity lakes throughout the development. The main entries, significant thoroughfares, recreation center, model home courts and lakes will be landscaped. A recreation center with a pool will be designed within the single-family portion of the development.

ELYSON

LOCATION KATY, TEXAS CLIENT NEWLAND INCLUDES 3,600 ACRES SIX UTILITY DISTRICTS SHOPPING AND OFFICES

Elyson is a 3,600-acre master-planned community located in Harris County near SH 99 and FM 529 in Harris County, Texas. The project is anticipated to include six utility districts at completion and currently comprises four active utility districts. At build-out, the project is expected to provide over 5,700 acre-feet of flood storage for detention and mitigation purposes and a mix of commercial, industrial and residential development. BGE developed an extensive interconnected waterway system capable of addressing the complex and daunting flooding challenges of the Elyson development, located in the Cypress Creek Overflow. Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) recently completed a TWBD-funded study of the overflow and proposed solutions that could have delayed or stopped Elyson from proceeding. BGE worked closely with HDFCD and other stakeholders to define an alternative approach to address concerns and develop a path to approval. BGE’s drainage solution in the overflow zone is unique to this area, providing added flood control protection and safety for residents and the surrounding area.

THE GROVES

The Groves, nestled in Piney Woods, is a 1,000-acre, mixeduse, one-of-a-kind master-planned community centered around “Life in the Woods.” BGE closely coordinated with landscape architects and tree arborists to preserve wildlife, design residential lots, design residential and major thoroughfare streets, traffic signal design, structural bridge and culvert crossing design, stormwater modeling and design, commercial site planning and development, preparation of preliminary and final plats, construction phase services, surveying services and coordination with local governmental agencies.

WEST RANCH

BGE was the Design Engineer for this 765 acre-master planned community for the Friendswood Development Company. The master plan includes lakes for stormwater detention and amenity use. We also designed the water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and paving facilities to serve West Ranch. The project involved coordination with the City of Friendswood, Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Texas Department of Transportation, Exxon Mobile Pipeline Company, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

WINDMILL FARMS OPEN SPACE & TRAILS

This nearly 3,500-acre master-planned community is replete with natural greenways and a floodplain. These natural features create the backdrop for an extensive park and trails system panned to weave through the site. BGE has provided planning, surveying, civil engineering, construction inspection and landscape architecture services for approximately 1,250 lots and future phases of the development.
