Mission and Vision Bishop Fenwick is a Catholic, co-educational, academically rigorous and supportive college preparatory school. Bishop Fenwick is dedicated to creating an environment where all students can seek and achieve excellence intellectually, creatively, morally, and spiritually, recognizing their responsibility both to serve and to lead. Fenwick at a Glance Founded in 1959. Fenwick is a Catholic, college preparatory, co-educational high school located on a 59-acre campus, 19 miles north of Boston. Admission requires an application and placement exam. Fenwick serves the North Shore of Boston and surrounding areas, drawing students from nearly 50 communities, and two countries. 78% of the teaching faculty have advanced degrees, including three doctorates. There are currently 460 students enrolled in grades 9-12. Students have access and opportunity to 35 Clubs and 28 Interscholastic sports. Special Programs Dual Enrollment Program — Dual Enrollment courses are offered by Endicott College. Endicott professors instruct the courses on-site at Fenwick, utilizing regular Endicott College course syllabi. College credits earned through dual enrollment are applied toward high school and college graduation and may be transferred to other colleges and universities. Four-year Written and Verbal Presentational Skills Program: Fenwick’s English Department guides students in the study and practice of all aspects of the English language, helping them master the skills to read critically and appreciatively, to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, and to use the myriad research tools available. The four-year writing program scaffolds an annual research paper with increased depth, persuasiveness, and cogent analysis. Every student also delivers a speech in our grade-level assemblies.
