MANAGER'S MESSAGE

As we step into the fall season, I want to thank everyone who took the time to complete our recent member survey and attended the Annual Meeting Your thoughtful feedback is invaluable as we evaluate the Club’s current strengths and areas for improvement, helping us to shape a better experience for all members moving forward.

Staffing & Service: Ensuring adequate staffing and strong training across all departments beach, pools, golf operations, food and beverage, fitness, and member services is a continuing focus We aim to foster a positive and professional team culture to provide the high level of service members expect

nd service standards at Ocean Terrace, the Beach Bar, Linx, Bayzo’s, Shark Bah and sh, local ingredients and improve consistency Social programming will evolve to tions, and introduce new themed events We also aim to increase themed dining and

eing considered throughout the Club, including potential upgrades to the Blueberry ies particularly Fletcher Pool where HVAC, boilers, and dehumidification systems are under evaluation Repairs to pool tiles and infrastructure are planned where needed

Beach: We recognize the need to manage capacity and check-in efficiency better Technology upgrades are being explored to streamline member check-in at the beach and pools Beach cleanliness, seating comfort, and patrolling of the boardwalk all remain of top priority Golf & Agronomy: Water sourcing challenges occurred following the loss of a well pump and motor during the high heat of the summer While pumps and motors have been replaced, we are pursuing advanced monitoring technologies such as transducers and flow meters to ensure water supply reliability Course conditioning plans include expanded aeration practices, tree removal to improve air circulation and sunlight, upgraded signage for no public walking, and enhanced turf care including sodding and seeding of weak areas Off-season member access to walk and play the golf course protocols will require check-in at the Pro Shop for safety and maintenance updates

Tennis & Pickleball: We are expanding programming with new events like Mixed Doubles League and cross-sport challenges and improving reservation systems and court usage monitoring Proposed plans include upgrade to Bay Pines courts fence repairs, better member and guest management, and the addition of a new perpetual tennis championship plaque

Fitness & Wellness: Planning has started for the proposal to add more fitness classes to the already expanded fitness schedule to elevate compaction and ensure safety Continued replacement of small item fitness equipment – (ex Golf and racquet sports stretching units, aqua class equipment, and Pilates reformer enhancements) Plan to hold workshops for all instructors to continue education and enhance class consistency and uniformity

Communication & Member Engagement: Samantha will continue to serve as the point person for member events, coordinating schedules and menus in close collaboration with golf and food & beverage teams Look for “ save the date” notifications in newsletters and emails, with detailed event information to follow thereafter The social calendar will feature both new concepts and refreshed traditional events, with the full 2026 calendar expected to be released by January Additionally, New members will continue to receive a digital welcome email, supplemented by a brochure packet containing key information about Club activities and involvement opportunities

We appreciate you and your continued engagement and support as we work through these priorities to improve your experience at Ocean Edge Please feel free to reach out to me directly at Stephan Harrington@oceanedge com or 571-278-2860 with any questions or suggestions.

Thank you again for being part of our community I look forward to seeing you around the Club this fall and beyond

Stephan Harrington

AGRONOMY

Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Meeting. While this past year brought its share of challenges, it also provided valuable lessons and set the stage for exciting improvements ahead.

We are pleased to welcome new equipment including a Lily Spreader, Workman utility vehicle, and Pro-Force blower with an aerifier scheduled for spring 2026.

These additions will help us work more efficiently and maintain a higher level of consistency across the course.

Our agronomic program delivered consistent green speeds and overall healthy turf, aside from a few problem areas we will address this fall. Our fescue program to combat herbaceous and woody weeds achieved an 85% reduction, with additional treatments planned to build on that success This fall, we will aerate all playing surfaces, including fairways, and topdress greens, approaches, and tees with 120 tons of sand Aggressive vertical mowing on fairways and tees this fall and spring will further reduce thatch and strengthen turf, complemented by sod and seed work to improve weaker areas

We are also taking proactive steps to secure our irrigation water supply by upgrading systems and exploring long-term solutions to ensure stability moving forward This effort will help safeguard the course against future challenges and keep us better prepared for extreme weather. This winter, members will be welcome to enjoy the course during the off-season. For safety and liability reasons, all members must check in at the Pro Shop before heading out, which allows our team to inform you of any ongoing course maintenance. During this same period, we will continue with our tree removal program and focus on limbing low growth to improve air movement and sunlight across key areas.

None of these accomplishments would be possible without the dedication of our grounds team. Their hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to the property this season have been truly incredible, and I want to thank them for all they have done I also want to thank our members for your continued support we look forward to building on this progress and heading into next season with great optimism

SPORTS

Happy October from the Member Sports Club!

We would like to thank all our members and their families for sharing your summer with us.

We had great success with the expansion of the MSC lounge offerings and the addition of Gifford’s ice cream! The fitness classes were at capacity, and we are happy to report they are still in full swing.

For some, the busy summer season with family and friends arriving weekly or sports group schedules makes it tough to focus on strength training. Let's face it, sometimes it’s tough just trying to schedule in your morning/evening walk Fall is a great time to get back to your strength training routine. If you are looking for new ideas, try a fitness class. We have a class called Weights and Balance that focuses on strength training for large and small muscle groups and incorporates balance exercises. All levels are welcome, so sign up online and join us!

OVEN-ROASTED ROOT VEGETABLES

INGREDIENTS

1 large butternut squash, (1 1/2 to 2 pounds) halved, seeded and peeled

3 large Yukon gold potatoes (1 1/2 pounds), scrubbed

1 bunch medium beets, (about 1 1/2 pounds), scrubbed and tops trimmed

1 medium red onion

2 large parsnips (about 8 ounces)

1 head garlic, cloves separated, and peeled (about 16)

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling

1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS

1.Place 2 baking sheets in the oven and preheat to 425 degrees F.

2.Cut all the vegetables into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Cut the onions through the base core to keep some of the layers in chunky pieces. Toss all the vegetables with garlic, olive oil and salt in large bowl. Season generously with pepper.

3 Carefully remove the heated baking sheets from the oven, brush or drizzle with olive oil. Divide the vegetables evenly between the 2 pans, spreading them out to assure they don't steam while roasting. Roast the vegetables until tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
