Summer is officially underway, and with Memorial Day weekend behind us, we’re moving full steam into June. Although the weather wasn’t as favorable as last year, it was great to see so many of you back on the Cape, enjoying everything Ocean Edge has to offer. Seasonal preparations are in full swing. Many of our staff members have arrived and are actively training, with more team members joining soon to ensure a smooth and enjoyable summer. You’ll notice new and familiar faces across the Club, including our enthusiastic J-1 and H-2B seasonal team members. We're excited to welcome them to the 2025 season and appreciate your patience during their training. It’s been a pleasure welcoming both new and returning members, especially during our recent Member Clambake. The event was a great success—thank you to Kevin Sterling, Chef Jonathan, the Culinary and Banquet teams for an exceptional job. A special thanks as well to Samantha Cannistraro for her continued support in both event coordination and member communications, including assistance for our members with the new Agilysys system. Ongoing property updates include: · Replastering of the Arbor Spa (reopening next weekend) · Arbor Pool, Shark Bah, and Member Sports Club pool/spa are all open · Mansion locker room and hallway tile updates completed · New beach information signage completed · New check-in podium at Blueberry Pond Pickleball Courts o (Please have your member ID at the courts, beach boardwalk, and driving range) · Restaurant menus have been refreshed Club-wide We appreciate your feedback and are always looking for ways to enhance your experience. The Ocean Edge Club is a special place with diverse offerings throughout the property, which is something that makes our Club extraordinary from all other Cape Cod offerings. The options for amenities and activities at times seem almost limitless and varies throughout the year. This is something that our team prides itself upon, offering and producing unique events throughout the year to engage in the varying demographics throughout our membership base. Now that summer is upon us, those offerings expand exponentially with our pools and beach services, Pickleball and Tennis events, Children Programming, Recreational opportunities with Kayaks and Stand-Up Paddle, Member weekly socials and special events, and of course Golf. Golf has an entirely separate and added number of events and socials associated with those events, that really add to the calendar! At times it seems that you cannot participate with all that is offered, and that is OK. As a Club, we hope you can enjoy the events that fit you and your family best. We realize it is impossible to do it all, but in many ways that is a good problem to have! Our hope throughout the year is that you explore different opportunities to engage with the Club and to meet other members, many of which may be new members to the Club. The real strength of our Club is you. The amenities add options for daily lifestyle choices, the camaraderie of our Members is what brings the amenities to life and what makes our Club special. Most recently, speaking with a few of our new members at the New Member Social, the comment was how welcoming the Membership is of new Members and how some have taken personal responsibility for introducing them to other members and encouraging attendance at events. From a Club perspective, this is fantastic, and we hope to do more. Each month, we like to introduce our newest Members to the Club and if you ever have notice a commonality of a new member to yourself, please let Samantha or I know and we will be happy to start a connection for you so that you too can become one of our Ambassadors to welcome in our newest to the Club.

Memorial Day weekend has officially kicked off the 2025 golf season, and we’re excited to welcome all of you back to the course! As we settle into the summer months, please be aware that Cape Cod is currently under a Level 2 – Significant Drought, as declared by MassDEP. While we did receive about an inch of rain on May 23rd, which helped improve conditions across our fairways, water remains a critical resource. You can read the official drought advisory here. Mass Open Qualifier Success We had the honor of hosting the Mass Open Qualifier on May 8th, and the feedback from both professionals and amateurs was overwhelmingly positive. Thank you to our incredible agronomy team for the long hours and effort that went into preparing the course. A special thanks as well to our volunteers—Stephan Harrington, Carolyn McMulloch, Kevin Brennan, and Jon Fox—whose help on the day of the event was invaluable. Spring Turf Progress This spring has been highly productive: · We are on track to complete all pre-emergent applications on turf areas by the end of May. · Irrigation has been re-installed on 13 Tee, with sod installation scheduled for Monday, June 2nd. What’s Ahead in June We’ll continue to build on this progress with several key projects: · Bunker repair on Hole 18 – new drainage pipe, reshaping, and fresh sand · Trimming low-hanging branches to improve playability · Conducting an irrigation audit and performing necessary repairs · Filling bare spots throughout the course with soil and seed · Edging irrigation heads, valve boxes, yardage markers, and drains for a cleaner, more defined appearance As always, we appreciate your continued support and attention to course care—every divot filled and ball mark repaired makes a difference. We look forward to seeing you on the course!

We have officially passed the start of the season on Cape Cod with Memorial Day coming and going. We saw many new and familiar faces out enjoying the golf course. Sean Lucey and his staff have the course in great shape, and we encourage you to see for yourself. As we head into the season, please take advantage of the upcoming golf events listed on the Club Calendar. OEMGA & OEWGA events are great ways to enjoy some camaraderie and golf with your fellow members. Now is the time to knock off the rust and fire up your swing for the season. Stop by or send an email to book a lesson today. The Professional Golf Staff is ready to get your game in shape for swimsuit golf season. The weather is starting to heat up and so will the golf course. Please make sure you check in with the Golf Shop before your round for accuracy of charges. New staff and a new Pointof-Sale system we want to make sure everything is 100% accurate. Be sure to book your tee times on the new member portal. Class Spotlight: Aqua Fit Fletcher pool Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri at 9:30 am Water aerobics is a fun, effective, and accessible way to improve your overall health and well-being, whether you're looking to improve your cardiovascular health, build strength and flexibility, reduce stress, or simply have fun. All levels welcome! Fitness Tip of the month: We always talk about hydration and the overall benefits of staying hydrated, however water may not be enough as you increase your outside activities. Coconut water is a healthy and hydrating beverage offering several benefits, including rehydration, and is a natural source of electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and magnesium, which are lost through sweat and bodily fluids. Coconut water is generally lower in calories and added sugar compared to many other juices and sodas. It’s a great alternative if you are not a fan of added sweeteners and chemicals which are in some of the more popular sports drinks.

GREEN PROTEIN SMOOTHIE I made this smoothie from The Healthy Foodiegirl.com and loved it! You can adjust your sugars by just adding less fruit and a bit more coconut water. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS 5 ounce bag of power greens 16 ounces coconut water or unsweetened vanilla almond milk 2 scoops vanilla protein powder 1/2 cup non-fat yogurt or 0% fat Greek yogurt 1 small ripe banana 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks 1 cup frozen mango chunks 1-2 teaspoons chia seeds
DIRECTIONS 1.Add the power greens, coconut water or almond milk, vanilla protein powder, yogurt, banana, frozen pineapple, frozen mango, and chia seeds to a high-powered blender. 2.Thoroughly blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. Then, pour the smoothie into two large glasses. Enjoy one and store the other in the fridge for the next day.
