Bounce Back with Udonis Haslem
Udonis Haslem, Miami HEAT forward and team captain, jumped at the chance to become event ambassador and social media influencer for the Bounce Back from CancerTM fundraising effort for Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. He led participants in the two-mile walk from The Underline’s Brickell Backyard to the MiamiDade Arena on March 13, joining in plenty of selfies along the way.
Haslem, a Miami native who has three NBA championships and is the HEAT’s all-time leading rebounder, was named Sports Illustrated’s 2021 Hometown Hero for his community service

“I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of Bounce Back from CancerTM because it combines two of my passions — basketball and supporting the community,” said Haslem. “It’s a grassroots event that encourages people of all ages to get involved and raise money for research to end this devastating disease.”
