Shah, the detective

This is Shah. Shah is a panda.

Shah may look like a common panda, since he likes to eat bamboo like any other panda does.

But Shah is not a common panda. When Shah puts on his coat, he transforms into Shah, the Detective.

Now, there are a lot of famous detectives in the world. Some of them use their wits, or their vast knowledge; some might use their deductive skills, and others their powers of observation.

Shah discovered his own way of solving cases. He was able to do so by… not wearing shoes.

Shoes are very important in Shah’s world: everybody wears them!

They wear them in the North, they wear them in the South; from the land where the sun comes up, to the land where it goes to sleep. Everybody wears shoes!

In Shah’s family, no one wears shoes. Not because they don’t fancy them, or because they cannot afford them. No, that is not the reason.

The reason goes back many years, when the world where Shah lives knew the meaning of empathy.

Now that word means nothing to anybody. There’s no animal in the world who remembers its meaning.
