Swedish energy industry and Doosan Škoda Power – mutually beneficial business Doosan Škoda Power, part of Korean company Doosan. Leading manufacturer and supplier of energy equipment, particularly ŠKODA steam turbines, with more than a hundred years of production history; not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Europe. Doosan Škoda Power is the research centre for Doosan steam turbines globally. The prestigious tender for the Vartan KVV8 project was won by Doosan Škoda Power thanks to the technical parameters and flexible approach to the modelling of production conditions, as required by the customer. Another key factor was solving the requirements for connection to the Swedish transmission system by the network provider. Apart from the 153 MW ŠKODA steam turbine with generator the order also includes high and low pressure heaters and district water heaters, complete machine room piping, I&C and electrical components for machine room, transportation and commissioning. Maximum heat output of the turbine is 225 MWt.
