How is the course assessed?
Biology is a popular A level subject, whether combined with other sciences and Mathematics or Geography. Biology is a preferred subject for medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical careers. It is obviously necessary for continued university studies in Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Ecology, Psychology and all related disciplines.

Assessment consists of three examination papers (Biological processes, Biological diversity and Unified Biology) totalling six hours.
Entry requirements A GCSE grade 7 in Biology or in Science and Additional Science is the minimum required to apply for Biology A level
