On a Wednesday during period 5, all Year 12 will participate in Sixth Form Games.

Those Year 13 students who are part of our representative teams will also participate during this period, either in training sessions or fixtures vs opposition schools.

As far as facilities and staffing will allow, we offer as wide a choice of physical activity as possible in the hope that every student will find something of interest.

If students are interested in an activity that is off site (e.g. Equestrian), then we can discuss supporting this where appropriate.

Activities we aim to offer

Autumn and Spring term:

• Badminton • Basketball • Fitness Suite • Football • Rugby • Squash.

Summer term:

• Badminton • Basketball • Cricket • Fitness Suite • Football • Softball • Squash • Tennis • Volleyball.

It is our aim to run representative teams in the sports that we offer. During the Autumn term, 1st XV and 2nd XV Rugby teams play regularly on a Saturday then play mid-week fixtures in the National Rugby competition and against local schools. The Sixth Form Football teams play in the County and National Cup, along with friendly games throughout their season. We are unique in the fact that as a state school we have four squash courts, Squash is popular and offers a comprehensive and competitive fixture list. In addition, we look to field teams in Badminton, Basketball, Swimming and Cross-Country fixtures and competitions. During the Summer term, Sixth Form students are giving the opportunity to represent the School through Cricket and Tennis fixtures.
