Cooking for beginners
O V E R V I E W
Students sign up for 10 weeks cooking course. It will be a fast-paced weekly challenge, with fun and learning as you acquire practical skills to cook for yourself at university. Recipes will include some old favourites and some delicious new tastes that will be quick and easy to prepare and that will fit your budget.

There will be some demonstration and tasting sessions, but mostly you will be cooking during each lesson. We will kick off with boning a whole chicken to get at least 8 portions that you can share with others or freeze for later. Throughout there will be alternative options for vegetarians. You will be given all recipes to take away, all ingredients and a container to cook and transport your dishes home.


There will be a charge to cover the costs of the ingredients but this will be kept to a minimum. You will take home your creations once cooked. An interest and enthusiasm in cooking and willingness to learn and try out new recipes.
