Un intento para volver al futurismo integral fue hecho por George Henry Lang (LANG, George Henry. The Histories and Prophecies of Daniel. Londres, 1940; 2.ª ed., 1941; 3.ªed., Londres: Oliphants, 1942). El cuarto reino de Daniel 2 es identificado con un futuro anticristo individual (ibídem, 3.ªed., págs. 25-29). Las cuatro bestias de Daniel 7 son ubicadas en el futuro (ídem, págs. 90-114).

114. Vaïsse puso de manifiesto la influencia de Lacunza en la formación de la Iglesia Católica Apostólica llamada irvingista.612

Sabemos el lugar que ocupa la espera del regreso de Cristo en el movimiento irvingista.

Los teólogos irvingistas, John Sidney Davenport, Francis Sitwell (1798-1864), en una obra póstuma y William Joseph Bramley Moore (1831-1918), no disimulan sus ataques contra Lacunza.

Los misioneros irvingistas contribuyeron a extender caras ideas a Lacunza no solo en Gran Bretaña sino también en otros países.

Pierre Mejanel, del Sur de Francia, fue ganado a la esperanza de la cercana parusía por Way, quien le prestó varios libros sobre la profecía en París hacia el 1827. Durante una estancia en Gran Bretaña abrazó los
