Editor
Change is inevitable. And once again change has come to our beloved
Attention SL Magazine.
As many of you know, Tory King took over as Editor-in-Chief from Athena Mariposa when she felt she could no longer keep up with the pressure of running such a popular magazine. For the last year, he has taken the best parts of Athena’s original dream and made them better. His vision for what it could become saw the magazine soar to new heights and ultimately being hailed as one of the top three in Second Life™. Due to circumstances beyond his control, he has, although reluctantly, passed the torch to a new leadership. It is with great honor and humility that we agreed to take on such a huge responsibility. These are gigantic shoes to fill, and a challenge that we do not take lightly. The love and care put into this magazine from its inception is no small thing, and we are truly honored to be trusted to continue its legacy. Our goal is not to
change everything about it, quite the contrary. Our vision for the magazine is very much in line with what Tory laid the groundwork for. We want to take it to the level that we know it is capable of. The team we have behind us is nothing short of incredible, and with their help, we are confident we can achieve this goal.
But who is Bellisima Benelli?
What makes her think she can run a magazine like this and keep it a success? Since she was a little girl, Bellisima has been into fashion, makeup, and style. She grew up reading Cosmopolitan™ and Vogue™, soaking up everything she could about the beauty industry. She has a keen eye for photography and style and has her finger on the pulse of the latest trends and fads. She is a natural leader with an instinct for spotting talent and surrounding herself with
people who can help her achieve anything she sets her mind to. In Second Life™ she has been a model, leader, and a successful businessperson. She learned about running a magazine under the tutelage of the great Frolic Mills, the original owner of BoSL, while serving as his Editor-in-Chief for the original SL20 Magazine.
But ultimately, this is not about Bellisima or anyone in the new leadership team. This is about the photographers, writers, and designers we feature and giving them the spotlight they deserve. This is about our readers and how we can best serve our community as a whole.
So, what does this mean for our beloved readers? We hope to make the transition as smooth as possible. We want to continue to provide the highest quality content and be a source of inspiration through our photographers and writers. Of course, with new leadership will come some change in the look and feel of certain aspects, but we hope that you will stay with us, and give us the chance you gave Tory when he took over. Without you, we have no reason to exist and thank you for your continued support through this new adventure.

Kere writes about the world: Discoveries and mistakes By:
Kere Delcon
DDEAR JOURNAL… this is my second entry recalling my first steps in this virtual world. Of course, back when I rezzed for the first time there was no mesh, not even what we called ‘sculpties’… and avatars didn’t have toes.
Avatars didn’t have a lot of things that we take for granted today. Clothing was ‘painted on’ and we used clunky attachments to fix collars and cuffs to our shirts… and we were only allowed one attachment per joint.
Having spent the first few weeks grinding on a gay beach to Baltimora’s 1985 smash “Tarzan Boy”, firing particles and sparkles out of every orifice, I suppose my first discovery was that we were ‘hot’. That was also my first mistake: we thought we were hot!
If all of us had rested on those laurels, would we have missed out on the enhancements we enjoy today? Would we have all kept our jobs as strippers and not tried anything else out?
TRYING THINGS out is one of the great joys of Second LifeTM. It’s what has kept me here for hundreds of years. The most thrilling discovery in Second LifeTM is being able to be whatever you want to be… that’s also one of many people’s greatest mistakes.
I’ve witnessed drama, colossal fallings-out, failures, and fatigue from those who thought that because they have unlimited potential, that they have unlimited talent.
That, dear readers, is sadly something that can’t be simulated with pixels.
But the ability to try and try again is a luxury that comes easier in a virtual world with slightly lesser consequences, though not entirely without them. It means we can discover and develop talents we didn’t know we had… and learn a little more about ourselves in the process.
I STILL see the die-hard early avatars with their system clothing and flexi hair sliding around the grid, and part of me wonders if it’s a conscious choice or a misguided belief that they’re still hot? Then I snap out of it. Misguided? Who am I to judge? Pixels are in the eye of the beholder – but we can’t deny that even Second LifeTM comes with its economy of scale, means, and ability.
“Stop!” My friend cried out. “I’ve DROPPED MY VAGINA somewhere behind the sofa. Help me find it… listen for it, IT TALKS!”
There will always be a sense of class, but like the ability to keep trying, our ability to accept and embrace is another luxury that comes easier in a virtual world. Let us not be the ones to judge someone for not wearing the latest jacket, skin, or designer genitalia.
“Stop!” My friend cried out. “I’ve dropped my vagina somewhere behind the sofa. Help me find it… listen for it, it talks!”
This was one of those ‘discovery moments.’
Not for me, but for my Dutch friend who I was introducing to my Second LifeTM fam. “Your vagina talks?” he asked her. I told him it was a long story as she frantically zoomed back and forth trying to locate her special pieces.
Over the coming weeks, we would send each other offline screenshots of us violating one another’s furniture using special pieces. He won the night I logged in to find a
screenshot covering my front door of him squatting on my stovetop.
Initiating a screenshot war turned out to be a mistake. It was one more discovery than I needed to make. I burnt the kitchen down and moved house. I never saw him again.
living it up somewhere in the sun right now, posting cocktails and pics with his family.
I’m freezing my toes off as winter sets in, while I reminisce about the days when I didn’t have any.
You young avatars just don’t know how good you have it. g
… Okay, that’s not entirely true. While he doesn’t log in to Second LifeTM very often anymore, we remain friends and keep in touch via Facebook. He’s Kere Delcon is old. He’s seen too much. He’s been too much. Nowhesitswritingabouthis SLjourneybetweenavapeand acanof energydrink.

ADVERTISE WITH
TORY KING
Not just a pretty face
WRITER: Divos Titanium
PHOTOGRAPHER: Verandi Diavolo
Have you ever felt like you know someone based on their photos? Not an in-depth knowledge, of course, but an innate sense of their interests and passion? Tory King is one of those photographers for me. Having been a Second Life™ photographer for almost fifteen years, I have seen many talented artists during that time. However, Tory is one I remember vividly as standing out among a crowd from the moment I saw his portfolio. His photographs tell such an amazing story, and there is a fluidity about his poses that shows the sophistication of his artistic talents. Tory is not one to shy away from showing off his assets in front of the camera, and while nudity often graces his work, he does so in a way that preserves an artistic focus. His innate ability to highlight interactions between two people in a photograph (or more when he is feeling extra expressive) is second to none.
Tory’s process, while simple, does not fully represent the time and focus he spends on creating the perfect scene. Don’t believe me? Just look at his photostream on Flickr. The way he can showcase the fluidity and artistry of the human body is incredible. His ongoing “Nude Study” series is just one way he highlights this.
As Editor-in-Chief of Attention SL Magazine, the way he placed the texts, images, and layout was further evidence of his incredible eye for detail and allowed Tory to put his signature on the publication.
Alas, beautiful things never last forever. With real-life demands making Tory’s free time even more scarce, he made the tough decision, after the last issue, to hand the leadership of Attention SL over to Bellisima and Nonge. While this was a difficult decision, Tory wanted to ensure the magazine he loved continued to have the attention it deserved. Fortunately, he will still be involved in contributing and sharing his impressive ideas. His mark on the magazine will forever be felt and we are so grateful for Tory’s exquisite contributions.
His love of Second Life™ will still find him in-world, dabbling in the things he loves. We can all breathe a sigh of relief - Tory will still be here and helping make our virtual world look even more incredible!
Divos Titanium: Tory, it is such an honor to be able to feature you. Your Flickr feed is simply a visual feast for the eyes. Time after time you deliver such incredible photography and people look forward to your works and how you make our virtual world always appear so beautiful. What made you get into Second Life™ and subsequently virtual world photography?
Tory King: Hi Divos! Thanks for the kind words. It’s funny, though. Just yesterday I was chatting with another Second Life™ photographer, and we agreed that when we look at our images, we only see the “mistakes” – the things we could have done better. I guess that’s the nature of the beast.
I work in the arts in RL. One evening, about sixteen years ago, I saw a piece on TV about Second Life™. They presented it as a platform for creativity. It intrigued me enough to create an account. Of course, once
I ventured in, the main thing I noticed was the overwhelming number of sex opportunities. Any thoughts of creativity vanished immediately.
I stayed in Second Life™ for several years on that first account (long since deactivated). During that time, I discovered roleplay – and loved it. However, as my RL grew busier, I shut it down.
It wasn’t until a few years later (2016), when I found myself missing the fun of Second Life™, that I came back – as Tory. New account, new life.
At first, Tory was an absolute horn dog. Don’t even ask. The love of roleplay resurfaced as well. One of Tory’s first serious adventures was playing the character, Hades, Lord of the Underworld, in an Ancient Worlds region called Immortals.
That was when I began exploring Second Life™ photography. I befriended a particularly lascivious slave boy and began photographing him as he seduced an endless stream of lovers (yes, one of my kinks is voyeurism). It was all very raw. They’d get on their pose-balls, and I’d frantically search for
interesting angles while they emoted the most salacious thoughts and actions.
Then, I heard about Flickr. I perceived it as a convenient storage facility for my snapshots. Very quickly, however, once I began uploading the images, random people started taking notice. Before I knew it, hundreds of people were following, liking, and commenting.
That was when I sat back and decided that I could take Second Life™ photography seriously.
DT: Those who are not fluent in photography may not know the time it takes to put a photograph together. So many details are involved, from poses to scenes to photo editing. What is your process and how long does it normally take from start to finish? Is there any part of the process that you enjoy or dislike the most?
TK: My process has evolved over the years. These days, my prime focus is on the pose. Discovering Black Dragon’s pose system has been a notable change for me. It offers the opportunity for great finesse with details. Now, the biggest challenge is in
managing the shortcomings of our insanely primitive avatars (will they ever fix the way they’ve attached our arms and legs to our torsos? UGH). I usually choose my shooting angle while working on the pose. I can easily spend over an hour just posing a headand-shoulders shot. Fullbody shots often run two hours, just building the pose.
Once I’m happy with the pose and angle, I work on lighting. I always begin with EEP settings, playing around until I find a combination of interesting shadows and specific highlights that feel emotive – often choosing backlight. Then, I bring in fill light as needed. The Lumipro three-light system is my best friend at that point. I edit the lights individually, setting the position, radius, and intensity of each.
After that, the actual shooting goes quickly. A matter of minutes.
I love every part of the process. I think, in part, it’s because I love beauty. The human form, whatever gender, fascinates me endlessly. My goal is always to find the beauty and celebrate it. I don’t always succeed, but – I embrace the journey.
INSPIRATION can come from anywhere. I might be changing Tory’s outfit and, when he’s briefly NAKED, think, “Damn, he has a fine butt!” BOOM—photo-op.
DT: Inspiration is such a key piece of the artistic process. How do you get ideas? Looking at published magazines, movies, the internet, or where? How do these amazing creations first take shape?
TK: Inspiration can come from anywhere. I might be changing Tory’s outfit and, when he’s briefly naked, think, “Damn, he has a fine butt!” BOOM – photo-op.
Aside from in-the-moment shots like that, I have a growing collection of real-life photos that I’ve downloaded from the internet. When I see an image that resonates with me, I save it. If I’m ever stuck on an idea, I look through those images. The goal is never to replicate them. Rather, they often provide an interesting starting point.
The greatest inspiration I ever had, however, in terms of my Second Life™
photographic experience, came from a single image I encountered in Flickr one day. It was early in my evolution when my focus was still on basic things –sex and pretty faces.
I can still see it clearly, without looking at it. A simple, black-and-white, direct image of a man, clearly deep in thought. I could feel his emotions through my computer monitor. It stopped me in my tracks. That was the moment when I realized there was so much more. The photographer was Dusty Pedroia. His photo changed everything for me.
DT: If you were looking at your catalog of amazing works, is there one photograph that sticks out as being incredibly special or having a significant meaning?
TK: Each shoot is its own adventure, and I can never predict the results, which
often differ dramatically from my original goals. That said, when I scroll through my Flickr stream, some images pop up that surprise me. In a good way. One example is a photo I did with Kess Crystal in 2022. As I recall, an RL photo inspired the concept, and it seemed quite impossible. Ms. Crystal was incredibly patient as I positioned the various scene elements, built the pose, and created the light effects. I still love the painterly feeling in the finished image (image bottom right).
DT: For those of us who have spent time editing photos, what is your software of choice? How do you continue to learn new skills and keep honing your craft? Are there any special resources you can share with interested readers?
TK: My editing always begins in Photoshop. Step 1 is “corrections” –smoothing the rough edges and imperfections of the avatars, and adjusting light as needed (thank you, Dodge & Burn!). Once the image feels “clean,” I bring it into ON1. I love their filter system for adding depth and various effects. Finally, back in PS, I do final changes in Camera Raw Filter to balance
lights/shadows and ensure there’s no unnecessary clipping.
In terms of skills, I am completely self-taught with this software. I’m sure that any professional would shudder if they observed my process (“There are much better/easier ways of doing this!”). Any “Pro” moves I’ve learned have come from video tutorials, which are readily available via Google.
DT: You have an innate ability to make nudity and sexual interactions look artistic. We applaud your ability to be so sex-positive but also tastefully tackle these scenes. How do you go about making this happen?
TK: What a wonderful compliment. Thank you. What I can tell you is that my process for an erotic shoot is the same as my process for a formal portrait. It’s the same longing and searching for beauty, the same wish for evocative lighting, the same impulse to express emotion.
DT: Have you ever received negative feedback for the nudity that is showcased in your photography?
TK: To the best of my memory, no one has ever commented negatively on any of my photos. For that, I am grateful.
DT: What do you consider sexy?
TK: Whether in real life or Second Life™, I’ve always been a “sucker for a pretty face.” However, to move beyond the appreciation of beauty and step into sexual desire – or love – it is the other person’s mind that tips the balance. Always.
DT: As an artist with a particular eye for talent, who are some of the Second Life™ artists that stick out to you?
TK: If I were to start a list of the Second Life™ artists whose work I admire, we would be here all day. I can certainly say that my admiration is boundless for those creators who accomplish things beyond my ability. I love a “How
Kess Crystal
did they do that?” moment.
DT: Over the years you have made a profound impact on Attention SL Magazine. How did you first get started on contributing to this impressive publication?
TK: Athena Mariposa, the founder of Attention SL, invited me to contribute as a guest photographer in early 2019. This led to further assignments and, finally, my position as Lead Photographer. Throughout this period, Athena and I spent countless hours together brainstorming, vetting potential contributors, and so on. What I learned about the Second Life™ magazine business, through her, fascinated me.
DT: Attention SL clearly has a special place in your heart. You decided to take the reigns as Editor-inChief for Attention SL last year. What spurred that decision?
TK: When Athena offered the magazine to me, there were two main reasons I decided to accept. First, the idea of having creative control was very appealing. Over our time working together, Athena and I had discussed potential changes to the publication, from content to overall design
and everything in between. However, as she was publishing monthly (every four weeks – how she pulled that off is still a mystery to me), plus dealing with a very full real life, she simply had no time to implement many of these ideas. When I took over, the first thing I did was give myself the luxury of time. I had a full six months to learn the software and retool the look of the entire magazine. That was a wonderful, exciting, and slightly terrifying period.
The second reason was my feeling of loyalty to Athena. The magazine was her “baby.” She had launched it and nurtured it herself. Truly, a labor of love over the years. I felt honored and humbled when she entrusted it to me. I hoped that I could honor her in return, by keeping it alive, healthy, and flourishing and, hopefully, elevating it to even greater heights.
DT: One of the most unexpected benefits of Second Life™ is that it often gives you skills or talents that you did not expect. What is something that being Editor of Attention SL has taught you that you will take with you in Second Life™ and beyond?
I
think the GREATEST
lesson I learned from the experience was the crucial importance of LISTENING
.
Truly listening.
TK: I think the greatest lesson I learned from the experience was the crucial importance of listening. Truly listening. While running the magazine often felt like a “one-man show,” I quickly realized that the team of contributors – both writers and photographers – was an invaluable resource. Many of the best pieces we ran came from their ideas and inspiration. I will always treasure that.
DT: While you will still be part of Attention SL with your gorgeous photography as a contributor, what’s one thing you want to be remembered for during your time as Editor-in-Chief?
TK: There’s something that most people couldn’t know. When you look at any element of the four issues I published, any detail you see, whether it’s text formatting, image placement, the running
sequence, copy-editing – that was my work. I assembled each page with an obsessive mindfulness, to the best of my abilities, and true love. It’s the love, the passion, that I hope people recognize.
DT: Over the years there have been more and more photographers that have joined the ranks of bloggers and photographers. What advice would you give to an aspiring photographer that is looking to get started and how do you recommend they stand out?
TK: My first technical recommendation to any aspiring visual artist would be – please, please, take a moment to learn about composition. It is so important. There are numerous methods in existence, each with its own set of guidelines. I love the “Rule of Thirds,” as it’s easy to understand and use, but there are other wonderful options. Having a solid grasp of basic composition concepts will instantly elevate your efforts. No amount of fancy filters will disguise weak composition.
If you want to stand out from the masses, the solution is simple – though not necessarily easy. You must ask yourself, “Who
am I? What is my passion? What excites me? What angers me? What do I feel compelled to say?” Then, begin exploring the process of expressing yourself. Yes, in the beginning, it’s ok to copy the work of others that you admire. If someone else’s work inspires you, then study it. Try to figure out why their images touch your emotions. But –do not get stuck there. Take what you’ve learned and make it your own.
DT: Does your interest in photography rear itself at all in the real world? How do you express your artistic side outside of Second Life™?
TK: Visual art has always been part of my life. As a child, I was constantly drawing or painting. I had my first camera by the age of seven. While I’ve never been a fulltime photographer, I still do portraits and graphic design for a select group of clients.
DT: What’s something about you that we don’t currently know? Give us a tidbit of Tory King that we can take with us after we finish this article.
TK: Currently, Tory is an intensely private person. You will rarely find him at dances or social events.
When he logs in, he’s usually in his little parcel, thinking about his next photo.
DT: How do you plan to spend your time in Second Life™ now that you will not be Editor for Attention SL? Are there any hobbies you enjoy besides photography and magazines?
TK: My other obsession in
Second Life™ is creating/ remodeling avatars. This goes back to my love of beauty. I have a solid understanding of the human form, classic proportions, and so on. I’ve always had a “side gig” doing makeovers for other people’s avatars. Nothing makes me happier than knowing I’ve helped someone else become the best version of themselves.
DT: Anything else that you would like readers to know?
TK: This quote from Oscar Wilde resonates with me: “Never love anyone who treats you like you’re ordinary.”
TORY’S FLICKR
DISOVERING BDSM AT TRES NAUGHTY
50 Shades of Naughty
WRITER & PHOTOGRAPHER: RAFAEL SINAVVA
The creators of Tres Naughty are
focusing on what will set them apart from other communities.
While Second Life™ turns twenty-one this year, the concept of different lifestyles in Second Life™ has been a constant. Having seen the massive changes from the birth of Second Life™ to its current ambiance and gigantic grid, let’s face it, Second Life™ is a massive melting pot of cultures, languages, customs, and lifestyles.
BDSM in Second Life™ has always been around, from the hidden aspects in the dark corners of the Second Life™ grid to slowly-but-surely turning into mainstream, mostly accepted in the explored areas of culture and lifestyle.
There is, however, quite a lot of accepting, nurturing, and teaching missing within the Second Life™ BDSM community.
Given how immersive this community can be, it is a shocker that it is lacking in comparison to the real-life BDSM community when it comes to informative conferences, events, and socializing.
This conclusion – the big picture of what the BDSM scene was missing in Second Life™ – came from firsthand experiences and conversations while intermingling with others.
“More events and conventions that bring the BDSM community, of all forms, together so that we can share more information, both real-life and Second Life™. The goal is to increase knowledge and experiences for all of us.”
And so, Tres Naughty’s exclusive
members-only region and community was born.
Cal (calimon.beaumont), coowner of Tres Naughty, expressed in our long chat as we walked the region, “We created Tres Naughty to be an immersive BDSM Lifestyle Region that strives to function under the same realworld expectations for BDSM.” Because of the nature of the community, all regions beyond the Welcome Areas are ‘membersonly,’ to preserve the safety of their guests. Members must go through an extensive application and vetting process to receive an invitation to join this exclusive area.
The build, decoration, and structure of the region are amazing. As we toured the
grounds and admired their taste, look, and feel, we could not help but ask exactly what led to the creation of Tres Naughty. The answer was simple. “We saw the need within the BDSM community for a place that was more relaxed, informative, and accepting. The need for mixing true BDSM in real-life and Second Life™.”
Now, the creators of Tres Naughty are focusing on what will set them apart from other communities. According to them: “Our base goal is enhancing how real-life and Second Life™ BDSM can coexist and enhance relationships. Our region’s design makes a more relaxed environment for
the community and offers many areas and activities.”
There are a lot of planned events and much more to come, including but not limited to: discussion groups, music events, play parties, and special events. There are different areas in the main club for the various scenes and tastes of its members. From complete dungeons, lounging areas, and intimate rooms, whatever scene you may be into, or interested in, there is a place for you at Tres Naughty.

Luane’s World invites you to an unforgettable summer experience.
“It was a pleasure to create memories in Le Monde Perdu!”
“We have created this region primarily for people who want to explore, photograph, or relax alone, as a couple, or with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere that we have fun creating each season with our greatest pleasure”. - LuaneMeo
T his is the newest version of Le Monde PerduSummer 2024.
I had the pleasure of discovering previous versions from past years and now, I am happy to bring this fantastic destination to Attention SL Magazine.
Luane’s World contains six regions: five residential and one public (with two parts).
T he island’s elevated starting point offers a beautiful view of the beach, surrounded by mountains on the horizon. From here, you can see a lighthouse and boats with their reflections in crystal clear waters (using Shared Environment).
T he beach invites you to enjoy the summer atmosphere with spots to sit and enjoy – alone or with others.
Animals in their environments and the sounds of nature make the experience much more amazing as you explore the region.
Its veteran creators have proved their skill once again with the geographic design. They’ve portrayed a realistic environment with natural elements of the weather and seasons. It’s impossible not to marvel at the diversity present in this region, built in a way that doesn’t pollute visual information. This clever way of showing the transition between seasons makes the destination even more interesting and remains an important feature of Luane’s World.
Visitor’s possibilities and creativity expand as they explore.
Bring your cameras and enjoy!
You will love creating memories in Le Monde Perdu.

Second Life™ is full of amazing ideas and inventions, created by an incredibly diverse group of people.
Entrepreneur Jennifer Steele embodies the best of this. She has navigated the treacherous landscape of the Second Life™ economy for seventeen years and started multiple successful businesses including “Chef’s House” (2008). A female business owner and upstanding member of the LBGTQ+ community, she is a shining example and role model for anyone wanting to make it on the grid.
Her new venture, WIC (’Women in Culinary’) Foods, sees her returning to what she does best, and she has teamed up with CEO
Elsmere Hectate Wic, and Founder / Culinarian SamSpy Wilder.
All three women bring their experience from real-life (all are retired award-winning “Red Seal Chefs”) to create this true marvel of culinary innovation in Second Life™.
WIC Foods takes virtual food to another level. The concept is to have a virtual dining experience that directly mirrors what you would receive in real-life.
It is completely immersive, down to the check you receive when done, and all of it is compatible with MyStory and Xeolife.
You don’t have to be a serious
Not only detailed, you
role-player to enjoy the amazing attention to detail and realism of a WIC restaurant. All you need is an open mind and a hungry belly.
T he menu alone has been specially crafted by actual chefs to be as realistic as possible. Not only is the food itself exquisitely detailed, but interaction with it makes you feel like you are truly there.

to Asian, and more. Each dish is a culinary delight, and those who have been there say they can almost smell and taste the food.
When you enter one of the fifteen sit-down restaurants, the staff greets you with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Whether you choose self-serve or full-service, the servers have set the tables flawlessly, and are ready to meet your every need.
T here are endless choices and flavors to enjoy, as each location has a different theme and a unique menu specially designed for the individual
franchisee, for the most authentic experience possible. The feeling of entering such a lovingly created venue makes for an amazingly mouth-watering experience.
WIC is a beautiful place to spend an evening with friends or a date, but it is also a meeting place for foodies and culinary enthusiasts. It’s the perfect setting to discuss recipes and ideas, and network on the grid. To that end, they are forming a new dining club, along with a cooking school, where real-life chefs can teach you how to cook upscale dishes in your home kitchen.
Aside from the sit-down restaurants, there are eleven Walk-N-Eat takeout locations allowing you to enjoy WIC foods wherever you happen to be, or whichever event you are attending. It is very convenient when you want to enjoy a nice meal but don’t have time to sit down.
In addition to all of this, WIC offers catering services for everything –no matter what the occasion. They accommodate small private parties, weddings, and even large corporate events with the same professional diligence. They can also create custom
menus and provide full staff to make your event as realistic as possible.
No matter what your past experiences have been with dining in Second Life™, you’ve never had one like this. Whether you’re looking for a new experience, want a wonderful place for a meeting, or taking someone special for a night out, you should give WIC a try.

Bits of Shopping Pleasure
NAUGHTYbits is more than meets the eye.
Second Life™ is an immersive experience revolving around a blend of lifestyles, cultures, languages, and experiences. One of the biggest segments and markets in Second Life™ is without a doubt, the adult entertainment and experiences industries. As Oscar Wilde said, “Everything in the world is about sex except sex. Sex is about power.”
T his is exactly what comes to mind when we track the growing enterprise that is NAUGHTYbits. As we walk the store and massive grounds with Coco Beaumont (coco. chattoway), co-owner and builder/designer, she cannot help but reminisce about the
origins of the store which opened in March of 2018.
Her introduction to building was with the AVsitter™ system. Finding it to be relaxing and fun, she decided to make the store so that she could share her passion with others. She found this to be an outlet for her stress while exploring her creativity.
Now anyone who knows Coco understands that she is a complete and total perfectionist even to the point of becoming OCD about every little itty-bitty detail. As she says: “My biggest frustration at times is finding the right animation and furniture pairing to bring to life a design in the way that I’ve imagined it to be.”
As we walk through the main area of the store, we talk about the very first items she created and sold. Laughing, she tells the story: “LOL ... the first piece I sold in the store was a one I made for St Patrick’s Day, called the ‘Get Lucky’ piece.” Sadly, it is no longer available.
She explains the store has expanded, not only in size, but also into other markets, and her plans for future projects. “The store has grown to three regions and has expanded from only
Adult Furniture to include landscaping, homes/buildings, Role Play pieces, and décor. The regions include our main store, seasonal areas, and holiday areas. My goal is to make shopping at NAUGHTYbits a fun and immersive adventure, a shopping experience.”
T he stores are in adult-rated regions, so as she puts it: “The customer can evaluate the furniture at ease and decide if it’s right for them before purchasing.”
As we continue to explore the regions, she goes into detail about which events NAUGHTYbits has been involved in, and what is next for 2024.
T he very first event she ever joined, The Blue Heart Event in 2018, was shortly after her stores’ opening. She credits this to the attention to detail and animations which set NAUGHTYbits apart from the start.
Coco states: “Currently NAUGHTYbits is part of SL21B, Vogue, Update, Tokyo Zero, Miix Erotica, as well as weekend sales including: Unik Deals, SL Home Décor, eBento Weekend, Energy Weekend, & Glorious Days.” For each event, she custom makes the furniture and engines to fit the theme, and no engine is ever repeated in other releases. This makes for an incredibly unique approach, in contrast to the normal replicated and duplicated engines of “mass-
produced” furniture stores.
Speaking about what’s next for the main store, Coco continues: “We are currently working on the remodel of the Tropical/ Beach area with tons of new tropical and jungle pieces being released. For those Dragon Lovers out there, we will be releasing a new “House of Dragons” Bedroom Set in August or September.
We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and invite our readers to explore NAUGHTYbits. Not only is it an innovative store, but the grounds are beautiful.
To our cherished LGBTQ+ community, the staff of Attention SL proudly stands with you in celebration of Pride Month. Your strength, resilience, and authenticity inspire us daily. Together, we champion diversity, inclusion, and love. Let’s continue to amplify voices, break down barriers, and foster understanding. Your stories matter, and we are here to honor and support you always.

Element of POSSIBILITIES
EXPLORING THE SL21B EXHIBITOR SHOWCASE
WRITER & PHOTOGRAPHER: NONGE KOOLHAAS
Another year passes on the grid as Second Life™ – today’s premier meta-verse platform – celebrates its 21st year. The sandbox it provides is a virtual blank canvas for creatives and artists to paint whatever their imaginations can conceive in striking detail and precision.
This year is no exception, as our residents have most definitely brought their “A” game.
Although the SL21B celebration is best known for the shopping, there is also a full slate of live musicians, DJs, and dance teams to entertain.
In addition to all of this, virtual and reallife artists from all cultures, ethnicities, and walks of life unite to share their creativity in the annual Exhibitor Showcase.
The theme of this year’s celebration of art is “The Elements,” with more than 250 exhibits spread out over twenty regions. Exploring all of them would be quite an undertaking; not one that you could do in an afternoon.
Some displays are as simple as art galleries, with exquisite paintings or photography. Others are incredibly large sculptures that take your breath away.
Some are just for fun, others are there to make a statement, promote a cause, or even educate the viewer.
There are even fully immersive or interactive exhibits – more than just a display – an experience.
The diversity of the showcase itself is a feat worth witnessing. Each time you go, what these talented contributors have been able to accomplish with the everchanging technology will amaze you.
We urge you to witness the incredible work the participants have worked hard to display. To all of those who contributed, a heartfelt thank you for laying yourself bare and sharing your soul with the masterful artwork you have provided.
Also, we send a warm thank you to the Lindens who have worked so hard to make this happen. Happy 21st to you and may many more incredible years follow.

LOST IN THE CLOUDS AELVA
When what was true, is not reality anymore. When the winds change direction and you blow away, forgotten, lost among the clouds. The stars’ comforting light eases the pain of tears falling, evaporating, and rising into new clouds to get lost in.
