De Absa Cape Epic is ongetwijfeld de meest prestigieuze MTB-meerdaagse ter wereld. Naast de vele sterren die eraan deelnemen, staat de race open voor het grote publiek. Deelnemen kan niet zomaar: slechts 680 teams worden jaarlijks toegelaten tot de race en deelnemers moeten voldoen aan strenge selectievoorwaarden.

De Absa Cape Epic maakt deel uit van de Epic Series, een reeks world-class challenges en bucket list distances die speciaal ontworpen zijn voor onvermoeibare fietsers, mountainbikers die uit hun comfort zone willen komen en hun fysieke én mentale grenzen willen (blijven) verleggen. Wie de Absa Cape Epic en nog twee andere races van de Epic Series vervolledigt, mag zichzelf een Epic Legend noemen!

The Absa Cape Epic is undoubtedly the most prestigious multi-day MTB race in the world. Besides the many stars who participate, the race is open to the general public. However, participation is not guaranteed: only 680 teams are admitted to the race each year and participants must meet strict selection criteria.

The Absa Cape Epic is part of the Epic Series, a series of world-class challenges and bucket list distances specially intended for hardcore cyclists, mountain bikers who want to get out of their comfort zone and (continue to) push their physical and mental limits. Those who complete the Absa Cape Epic and two other races of the Epic Series can call themselves an Epic Legend!
