For The Hornets

SACRAMENTO STATE WOMEN’S ROWING

Women’s Rowing is a varsity intercollegiate sport at Sacramento State. All Sacramento State female students who are enrolled in 12 or more units are invited to join the team. Prior experience is not necessary; most women rowers learn how to row in college. Scholarships are available. The team practices and competes in both the fall and spring semesters. Come join the women’s rowing team. This ultimate team sport could change your entire college experience. We recommend to all incoming freshmen to apply to the NCAA clearing house as their first step to becoming a student athlete. The Sac State Men’s Rowing club offers motivated student athletes a chance to compete in one of the highest levels of collegiate competition, the American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championships. With a long, storied tradition of excellence, the Men’s Rowing club has won numerous regional titles in rowing’s premiere event, the Varsity 8. While winning is a goal, the program also prides itself on being a transformational, life-long skills builder where academic success is emphasized and athletes establish and cement bonds with fellow crew mates for life. No experience is necessary to join, only a passion to be academically successful and to learn to row and train “as one”.
