What is an affiliate of the Sacramento State Aquatic Center?

Affiliated membership is open to the public and includes reduced rates for classes and boat rentals, as well as access to the weight rooms. A more detailed explanation of each membership is available through the Aquatic Center’s front office. Members are subject to Aquatic Center gate hours of operation. Affiliate members under 18 years of age must have written parental consent on file. Family membership consists of up to two adults and two minors within the same household. Membership applications are accepted Monday through Friday during office hours.

General Affiliation Membership

Entitles members access to the weight room and erg loft facilities. Members also enjoy ”affiliate” discounted rates for rentals and classes.

Paddling Membership

1/2 YEARYEAR

Family* $500 $750

Entitles members to use specified Aquatic Center paddle craft and facilities. If you are a beginning/novice paddler you must complete one of the basic classes or take a private lesson to have access to the surf ski’s and touring kayaks. If you have previous paddling experience you must be checked-out by one of the Sacramento State paddling staff prior to joining.

Equipment available includes: Single Sit on Top Kayaks, Tandem Kayaks, Yak Kayaks, Canoes, Rowing Ergometers, Stand-Up Boards, and access to the weight room.

Sailing Membership

Entitles members to use specified Aquatic Center sailing equipment and facilities. If you are a beginning/novice sailor you must complete one of the basic sailing classes or complete a private lesson. If you have previous sailing experience you must complete a minimum one hour private check-out by one of the Sacramento State sailing staff prior to joining. The equipment available includes: Lasers, Holders, Picos, Windsurfers, Quest, Rowing Ergometers, and access to the weight room.

Rowing Membership

Entitles members to use specified Aquatic Center rowing equipment and facilities. If you are a beginning/novice rower you must complete one of the basic rowing classes prior to joining. If you have previous rowing experience you must be checked-out by one of the Sacramento State rowing staff prior to joining. The equipment available includes eight (8+), four (4+), two (2-/2x), and one (open water 1x’s) person shells, Rowing Ergometers, and access to the weight room. Members are encouraged to organize team boats for workouts and races. In order to use the certain equipment approval is needed by the rowing manager. Please see front office for details.
