Editors Letter...
Yippeee... the holidays are here at last! I think we all deserve a well earned break. Hopefully the weather will stay pleasant throughout the summer holidays, fingers crossed! The Auckley Show, Saturday 13th August, promises to be bigger and better than ever. Remember, it‘s one of the few shows which still offer free entry to everyone so make it a family day out to remember.

Hayfield proms went off with a bang, the ladies looked fabulous—so did the gentlemen! Local business woman, Carolyn Poole who owns Chique in Armthorpe, dressed many of the ladies, there is an article from Chique in this months Arrow with many of the fabulous dresses on show. With all this warm weather, please remember to keep your property secure, make sure your windows and doors are locked when you leave your home. There have been a number of local burglaries so speak to your neighbours and make sure you are all vigilant, especially if someone is on holiday. Always report anything suspicious to the police. Finally, good luck to all students who are leaving school to start a new life in work, college, 6th form or university. I hope you‘re dreams are realised. The September issue deadline will be Wednesday 25th August, if anyone would like to submit an article or an advert, please send it to me by this date. Any items that I receive after this date will miss the September issue. Due to the holiday period, the September issue will be distributed later than usual in the first week of September.
