This is an annual ceremony to pay respect to veterans who made it home safely, but left their children behind at the U.S. Kindergraves. AFCEA now accepting scholarship program applications • The Kaiserslautern Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association is now accepting applications for its KMC Summer Session Scholarship program. These $300 scholarships are awarded to applicants pursuing a degree in the technical sciences (communications, electronics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, information systems, etc.). Applicants must be active-duty junior officers, enlisted, currently employed civil service in the KMC and/or family members in the KMC. Scholarships can be accessed via the Internet at www.kmcafcea.org/kmcscholarship and should be sent by email to scholarships@kmcafcea.org. • The AFCEA is accepting applications for its KMC High School Scholarship program. These $1,000 to $5,000 scholarships are awarded to graduating high school senior applicants majoring in a degree in the technical sciences (communications, electronics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, information systems, etc.). Applicants have until May 24 to submit, and may do so via the Internet at www.kmcafcea.org/content/high-schoolscholarship or by emailing scholarships@kmcafcea.org. Students may also see their high school counselor for more information. » The Summer Bazaar, a giant, weekend-long bazaar with more than 90 vendors from around the world, will be held from June 7 to 9 in Bldg. 237 on Rhine Ordnance Barracks. The bazaar will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. This bazaar is for ID cardholders only. Strollers are welcome.
