SHELL Chairman Visits DVFC ICSB Board of Director Chairman, Tan Sri Datu Khalil bin Datu Hj. Jamalul was on hand to welcome the Chairman of Shell Malaysia cum Managing Director of Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Limited, Datuk Lim Haw Kuang and entourage during a visit to DVFC from October 7 to 8,2000. Tan SriKhalil and Datuk Lim were in Danum Valley in conjunction with the "Nature Camp for Special Children" programme, jointly organised by Sabah Shell Petroleum Company. Ltd. and ICSB in collaboration with Special Olympics Sabah from October 6 t09.
MINI-ECO CHALLENGE SABAH
2000 VICTORY FOR
YS TEAMS Yayasan Sabah teams won the gold and bronze in the men's category of the Mini EcoChallenge Sabah 2000 organised by the Federal (Sabah) Youth and Sport Department held at Tanjung Aru and Kinarut, Papar, on November 11 to 13,2000. Yayasan Sabah Team B comprising of Jiplan Jasni, Richard Julian, George Ginduk and Averil Lajawa clocked 8hrs 48min and 22sec to be the champion in the men's category. Their efforts won them RM1,000 while Yayasan Sabah Team A comprising of Sikin Anggom, Jackson Mingkoi, Shariffudin Julkepleh and Lesly Lasius
collected RM400 for coming in third with a time of 10hrs 7 min 14 sec. In the mix category, Yayasan Sabah C comprising of Beatrice Lajawa, Jokeranian Patil, DOl:': Kayau and Shahlauddin Ali Asia came in fifth place with a time of 10hrs 32min 20sec. Their efforts earned them RM200. Yayasan Sabah Team B also won the special award in Best Kayak (3hrs 15min 8sec) and Best Cycling (4hrs 13min 5sec) while Yayasan Sabah
Team A was voted as the best team overall in the men's category. The Mini Eco-Challenge involved 13 teams competing in three sporting disciplines over the three days - 50km kayaking, 66km mountain bike cycling and 11 km cross country running. The team was coached Anang of Yayasan Community Colege.
