Hudson Conway was created by company Director Mr Lloyd Williams and has grown to become one of Australia’s preeminent family offices with a focus on Commercial Real Estate.
Famous for developing Melbourne’s Crown Casino complex (one of the largest in the world), the family which is jointly ran by Mr Williams and his son Nick Williams has activities in property investment, development, construction and management across a range of asset types including shopping centres, hotels and golf courses.
In addition to their property portfolio, the Williams Family Office is also a very well respected and recognisable name in the thoroughbred horse racing industry. They are one of Australia’s largest thoroughbred owners and trainers, having owned a 120 hectare stable outside Melbourne and winning the Melbourne Cup on seven occasions.

Michael Mai is the CEO/Founder of both ICD Property and Mai Capital, overseeing the function, strategy and execution across these high performing businesses. As the Executive Chairman of MAI Group Michael has established successful JV partnerships with leading institutions in China. He has deep insights in areas of project acquisitions and corporate finance. Since its inception and with Michaels guidance MAI group has developed projects and managed assets worth more than AUD $2 billion.
Michaels family has excellent credentials in business with his father, Boliang Mai, having founded the well known logistics business China International Marine Containers (CIMC). Responsible for the creation of one in three shipping containers globally, Mr Mai acts as Chairman of CIMC and has been integral in both its inception, and it’s continued growth as a front runner in the industry across areas such as sustainable development strategies and the focus on cold chain, clean energy.

The name “Market Lane” honours the dedication, hard work, and opportunities created by Mark Wizel and Lewis Tong’s parents. Mark’s father operated a business at Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, while Lewis’ parents ran an import and retail business called Silk Lane.
Combining “market” and “lane” resulted in the name Market Lane Developments. The word “market” signifies a place where people gather to buy and sell goods, and “lane” implies an avenue or direction.
This name reflects the company’s focus on acquiring and developing large format retail properties throughout Australia, aiming to build a strong reputation and pride in its endeavours.
