CANOVA. ETERNA BELLEZZA Una mostra-evento dedicata a Canova e al suo legame con la città di Roma che, fra Settecento e Ottocento, diventò la fucina del suo genio e inesauribile fonte di ispirazione. Incorniciate all’interno di un allestimento di grande impatto visivo, oltre 170 opere di Canova e di alcuni artisti a lui coevi raccontano l’arte canoviana e il contesto che lo scultore trovò giungendo nell’Urbe nel 1779. Lungo il percorso espositivo sarà rievocata la calda atmosfera a lume di torcia con cui l’artista mostrava le proprie opere agli ospiti, di notte, nell’atelier di via delle Colonnette.

An exhibition-event dedicated to Canova and his link with the city of Rome which, between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, became the forge of his genius and inexhaustible source of inspiration. GIORNI FELICI

Dal 12 al 23 febbraio al Teatro Studio Borgna dell’Auditorium Parco della Musica, Nicoletta Braschi interpreta Winnie, donna assoluta e minimale, la protagonista di “Giorni felici” di Samuel Beckett, opera che ha rappresentato per il celebre drammaturgo irlandese un ritorno alla lingua madre dopo anni di volontario esilio linguistico. La regia di questo spettacolo, uno dei maggiori testi contemporanei che appartiene di diritto al canone del teatro del secolo breve, è di Andrea Renzi, in una produzione Melampo e Fondazione Teatro Stabile di Torino. Un’intensa prova per Braschi in questo ruolo di una donna sepolta fino alla vita in un cumulo di sabbia con Willie, il marito. E mentre la sabbia ricopre inesorabilmente entrambi, Winnie chiacchiera senza sosta, in un’alternanza insensata di momenti che sono il cuore della straordinaria esplorazione beckettiana della vita ai margini della follia.

IL GIARDINO DEI CILIEGI

Il teatro magnetico e ancestrale di Alessandro Serra torna sul palco dell’Argentina dal 25 febbraio all’8 marzo per confrontarsi con uno dei grandi classici del teatro mondiale, “Il giardino dei ciliegi” di Anton Cechov. Un’opera senza centro, in cui i gesti e le parole dei personaggi che agiscono e parlano si nutrono di coloro che hanno agito e delle parole parlate dagli altri. Una partitura sinfonica per coro, per una moltitudine, come nella vita. Una commedia garbata, intessuta di morte e un senso del dolore sconosciuto. Il regista sardo si cimenta con un’opera senza trama, dove tutto si muove all’interno dei personaggi, con i loro monologhi interiori che si intrecciano e si attraversano. La scrittura crea un dissolversi del centro e del focus: l’opera è infatti cosparsa di piccoli impedimenti e fraintendimenti, rotture sintattiche, pianti, canti, apnee, russamenti, borbottii, filastrocche e suoni.

LE CERCLE Sul palco del Teatro India il 14 e 15 marzo arriva “Le Cercle” della coreografa franco-algerina Nacera Belaza. Un lavoro libero, costruito per variazioni che arrivano infine a cancellare l’identità dei singoli interpreti. I movimenti dei cinque performer sono prodotti da una forza insieme fluida e strutturata, come generata da un profondo e continuo respiro. Una danza che è reinterpretazione di una coreografia preesistente nelle sue mille variabili inespresse, costruita su continue variazioni di movimento che riescono a cancellare l’identità dei singoli interpreti, che si trasformano in mute silhouettes ai confini di un cerchio di luce.
