NGPC Now Offers Addiction Counseling
For years, people living in North Georgia have experienced a growing dependence on drugs and alcohol. It doesn’t matter whether the substance is legal (alcohol and pain pills) or illegal (marijuana, heroin, cocaine, etc.), the area has been hit hard by addiction. And the impact greatly affects teenagers, families, out-of-wedlock pregnancy rates, and the babies themselves. Because the need has been so great, the North Georgia Pregnancy and Family Resource Center saw the need for biblical addiction counseling. We’ve been blessed with two certified biblical counselors in Tim and Kit Brown, who started working with the Center in 2018. But in 2019, the Browns took on a much bigger role within the Center and are now formally offering biblical addiction counseling in the NGPC offices. 30
Addiction is a very difficult issue to handle, but Tim and Kit have been doing this type of ministry for nearly 20 years through His Steps Ministries.
