OUR PASSION IS FOR FAMILIES (WOMEN, CHILDREN, AND MEN) TO FEEL SEEN, HEARD, KNOWN, AND LOVED FROM THE FIRST MOMENT THEY ENTER OUR CARE, NO MATTER THE PATH THEY ARE WALKING. WE WANT ALL GENERATIONS AND CULTURES TO ENCOUNTER CHRIST’S LOVE AND GRACE, LEADING THEM TO RECOGNIZE GOD OR DEEPEN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

A letter from our Executive Director, Cindy O’Leary
Join us in celebrating the faithfulness of the Lord in and through The HOPE Center this past year. When we gathered last October for our first-ever Cobb Galleria banquet, we did so under the banner of HOPE and a Future, referencing Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Part of the future vision we shared was our desire to provide housing solutions for the moms and families we served who were facing homelessness or housing instability and the possibility of a partnership with Serenade Heights. Six months later, our partnership began, and shortly thereafter, our first single mom and her son moved into their townhome to begin their two-year journey toward financial stability. This has provided them the opportunity to dream again! Watch Taylor’s story here by scanning the QR code in this letter. Please receive her gratitude and ours for your support!

A second big-dream goal was accomplished when your generosity made it possible for us to purchase a NEW Mobile unit to help flourish our ministry of life and outreach in the City of Atlanta. The Options Medical Clinic ATL Mobile unit and crew will roll-out following our 2024 banquet. Due to this expansion, we have added an extra day out per week to their schedule between last year and this year! Again, we are so grateful for your support, and that of our close to 500 Life Champion monthly donors, as well as the church and community support The HOPE Center receives. We are, together, helping equip pregnant women to choose life, and helping families thrive in the love of Christ.

A 2025 goal we hope you’ll prayerfully pursue with us is the further development and expansion of our Parenting Program for clients served by the Mobile. We would ideally like to replicate much of what our moms and families experience through The HOPE Center’s Parenting and Fatherhood programs in Woodstock. Volunteer training and strategic partnerships are being mapped out, and we are confident that the Lord will continue to go before us as we pursue His best in and around our locations served by the Mobile.

The Lord’s provision of Javan Hart to lead our men’s ministry is evidence of answered prayer! Knowing that the most significant voice in the life of a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy is that of the father of her baby, our heart’s desire was to include serving the men involved in making life decisions for their babies and to encourage their stepping up into their fatherhood roles. With Javan and his team having had the opportunity to advocate for and mentor increasing numbers of men, we are seeing our heart’s desire be fulfilled.

A Closer Look at HOPE
Serving abortion-vulnerable women for over 34 years, The HOPE Center exists to equip pregnant women to choose life, and to help families thrive in the love of Christ.
Since 1990, our ministry has expanded greatly, offering services to men, women, and the community under the umbrella of The HOPE Center. Through Options Medical Clinic, Options Medical ATL Mobile, our Parenting Partnership Program, Men of HOPE, and, of course, Seeds Thrift Boutique, we have ample support readily available for a family facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Instead of succumbing to the feeling that abortion is their only option, many women and their partners come to understand that they’ll have both support and resources if they choose to parent or make an adoption plan.
All of our services are provided at no cost to our participants thanks to your support! The HOPE Center does not receive any government funding, and relies solely on the tax-deductible donations of our generous supporters and partners.

Many Services, One Mission
Our passion is for families (women, children, and men) to feel seen, heard, known, and loved from the first moment they enter our care, no matter the path they are walking. Here’s how:
• Through Options Medical Clinic and our Options Medical ATL Mobile, we offer medical services at no cost to the patient, which includes pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and options counseling. These services allow us to meet both the spiritual and practical needs of the client.
• Through our Parenting Partnership Program, we provide practical assistance, one-on-one mentorship, and education for parents from pregnancy through a child’s second birthday. “Baby Bucks” earned by program participants can be used to purchase formula, diapers, and wipes, and can be applied to purchases at Seeds.
• Through Men of HOPE, we mentor men to be strong spiritual leaders of their families and help couples strengthen their relationships through Christian principles.
• Through Seeds Thrift Boutique, the sale of quality donated clothing, baby items, furniture, and home décor contributes greatly to The HOPE Center ministry. Although open to the general public, our Parenting Program participants benefit from their ability to earn significant discounts on needed resources at Seeds.
The Power of HOPE
By Michael Litrel, MD, Medical Director, The HOPE Center
An unexpected pregnancy can fill a woman’s heart with fear and desperation. Many women come to us feeling afraid and all alone. As a new path is offered, hearts are filled with hope, and tears are replaced with smiles. We have helped countless women choose life.
Nothing is more beautiful than the incandescent joy radiating from the face of a mother holding her newborn baby in her arms.
At The HOPE Center, our approach has always been about compassion and never coercion. We focus on providing the best possible care for women, regardless of their ultimate decision. We provide accurate information about all options, including abortion, adoption, and parenting. We offer programs that cover a wide range of topics, from fetal development to parenting skills, from nutrition during pregnancy to financial planning for new families. By equipping women with knowledge and skills, we help them feel more confident and prepared to face an unplanned pregnancy. Our goal is to remove the barriers that might lead a woman to feel that abortion is her only
option. We believe that when a pregnant woman has access to comprehensive support and resources, she is more likely to choose life.
Sometimes a woman chooses abortion instead. We don’t judge – we help. One patient was disabled with grief regarding the abortion coerced by her parents thirty years earlier when she was sixteen. The postabortion counseling she received at the HOPE Center helped her find true healing - thirty years of pain lifted simply by loving compassionate care.
The work we do at The HOPE Center is not easy. There is the propagandized misconception that being pro-life is anti-woman. This is simply not true. We recognize the complex circumstances that can lead to abortion, and we endeavor to address those underlying issues with practical solutions and ongoing support. We all know the pro-life stance is not without its controversies and challenges, and we believe it’s
crucial to engage in respectful dialogue with those who hold opposite views.
We have grown so much over the years and have made such a difference in so many lives. Now we are exploring innovative ways to provide support, including telemedicine options for remote consultations and virtual support groups. We are also working to strengthen our partnerships with other community organizations to create a more comprehensive network of support for women and families. I invite you to join us in this vital mission. Please consider volunteering or donating or simply spreading awareness.
Together, we can build a community that supports women – and life.
When Does Life Begin?
From a scientific point of view, the moment of conception is awe-inspiring. It’s even accompanied by a dramatic flash of light within the fallopian tube.
Dr. William Lile, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, described this process in detail with Care Net President and CEO Roland Warren on the Care Net video series entitled: “The Doctor Is In.”
Dr. Lile, also known as The Pro-Life Doc, passionately believes that each person is created in the image of God at the moment of conception. “A patient is a person, no matter how small,” he says.
On the series, Dr. Lile and Roland Warren discussed the question, “When does new life begin?” The firsthand experience and expertise of Dr. Lile, who has delivered approximately 4,000 babies, left no room for doubt.
“The question is not even a philosophical question,” he said. “It is a scientific question and it is a medical question.” Dr. Lile explained that when the DNA from the sperm and the DNA from the egg come together as one
cell, that one cell is genetically unique from mom and dad and the other eight billion people on the planet. At that one cell stage, the blueprints of life are already laid out. “That living cell will divide into two, four, eight, sixteen, thirty-two, sixty-four cells. As adults, we are comprised of about 60 trillion cells. What’s unique is that our DNA, our genetics, never change. If you do a DNA test on somebody who is 90 years old, it will exactly match when they were just one cell in their mother’s womb.”
Roland Warren noted how this data contradicts a common narrative that life is constructed in the womb. That misconception, he explained, occurs when we think of a baby in the womb like the construction of a Tesla. “When is a Tesla actually a Tesla?” he asked, rhetorically. “The reality is that a Tesla is never intrinsically a Tesla because at any point you could turn a Tesla into a toaster. It could be turned into something else.” That’s why there’s human development as opposed to human construction. It’s an absolute miracle.”
“We are all created in the image of God, not on our
An ultrasound of 17-week-old baby in the womb
birthdays, but at that moment of conception,” Dr. Lile noted. “That miracle of conception involves some astounding steps, both before and after the sperm and egg unite. The first sperm to get through to the egg must out-swim hundreds of millions of others, like Michael Phelps. The sperms are all trying to get on the inside, but there is only one gold medalist,” Dr. Lile said. Once the sperm unites with the egg, another incredible process occurs to keep the others out. “As soon as that first sperm gets on the inside, an amazing reaction happens. A shield goes up, just like the Star Trek Enterprise. That shield is called a zona pellucida.”
“At that moment, if you look with the right frequency of light, you can actually see a flash of light that occurs.”
The miraculous, and even mysterious, nature of conception continues when the DNA from the mother and father come together and cellular division begins.
“All the cells are exact copies at that point,” Dr. Lile noted. “How does one cell say, ‘I’m only going to read [certain] pages of the blueprints of life?’ ‘I’m going to start the entire cardiovascular system.’ Another cell says, ‘I’m going to start the entire GI [digestive] system.’ How do they know what their job is supposed to be and what pages of the DNA they’re supposed to read? It’s an absolute miracle. It’s called cell differentiation.”
“We still have no idea [how it happens]. Things don’t evolve into amazing miracles like that. There was a designer, and that designer was no doubt Almighty God.”
On the series, Dr. Lile and Roland Warren discussed other topics that confirm the fact that new life begins at conception, including the ability of doctors to do perform complex surgeries on babies in the womb.
“We are treating them as patients, diagnosing them as patients,” Dr. Lile noted. “We are doing brain surgery, spina bifida corrective surgery, laser vascular surgery, and open-heart surgery. [Often], we will have a separate anesthesiologist that will start an IV in the baby and give the baby fluids, give the baby fentanyl so they don’t feel pain.”
“These babies are created in the image of God. They are my patients. If they are patients, then they need to be protected.”
In conclusion, Roland Warren said that hearing medical evidence like this from Dr. Lile actually shifts the burden of proof from the pro-life side to the pro-choice side. “If you believe that life is precious (which is what pro-choice people would say in a lot of settings), then you have to be 100% certain that what is in the womb is not a life,” he said. “If you’re uncertain about when life begins, you actually should be pro-life. The biblical narrative, the medical narrative, the scientific narrative – all of it comes together to support the perspective that there is new life in the womb.”
The HOPE Center was thrilled to have Dr. Lile return as its annual banquet keynote speaker for 2024. Five years ago, he was extremely well-received and appreciated. Dr. Lile is a big advocate of the Abortion Pill Reversal Network – abortionpillreversal.com – which has saved over 5,000 lives since its inception. The HOPE Center’s Medical Director, Dr. Michael Litrel, is a referral physician for this network.
Developing Confident, Loving Mothers
By Amy Rogers, Women’s Services Coordinator and Megan McClary, Communications Manager
The HOPE Center’s Parenting Program is a mentorship program that works to establish a nurturing relationship between a pregnant woman and her volunteer mentor in an effort to help support the mothers and families.
“The Parenting Program is purposefully designed to walk alongside moms, addressing their spiritual, emotional, and practical needs,” according to Amy Rogers, the Women’s Services Coordinator.
With our support, clients are encouraged as they pursue the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs most suitable for them and their families up through their child’s second birthday. We strive to provide meaningful connections where women are comfortable to talk about their struggles without judgment within a caring, supportive, and trusting environment. In addition, we make every effort to show them the love of Christ so that they feel seen, heard, known, and loved.
Debbie, Center Director; Victoria, Parenting Program Client; and Amy, Women’s Services Coordinator
BUILDING EMOTIONAL CONNECTION
THROUGH TRUST
When it comes to establishing connections with clients, The HOPE Center never overlooks the most important ingredient of all – Jesus Christ, in whom we trust. We aim to pour the love of Christ into them by declaring God’s truth; that they are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Ps. 139:14) and “God knows the plans [He] has for them.” (Jeremiah 29:11). A one-on-one relationship is built between the client and mentor in a safe environment, where the clients can share their struggles, receive practical advice, and learn new skills that will help them in their parenting journeys. Through our evidence-based curriculum, Bright Course, we provide materials that aid in moms and dads becoming confident parents. Via Bright Course, parents are equipped with knowledge regarding pregnancy and childbirth, as well as valuable life skills such as financial wisdom and relational intelligence, all through the lens of biblical principles.
Through tears of joy, Victoria, a participant in our Parenting Program, remarked, “Debbie has always made me feel like I could go to her when needed. When I feel down, I am able to come to her. I’ve never had that type of relationship with someone that is older and knows so much. I am just really grateful to have her.” Victoria and Debbie, Center Director, began their client/mentor relationship after Victoria and her boyfriend, Josue, chose life for their baby Camilo in 2023.
“Watching Victoria flourish and become a mom that pours out kindness and love to baby Camilo has been so wonderful to see. Both Victoria and Josue are very responsible and driven. They are eager to learn and provide a loving safe environment for their family…they are beautiful parents.” Debbie exclaimed.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
The Gospel is the beginning, middle, and end of all we hold true at The HOPE Center. Mentors are encouraged to share the Gospel with clients, and we believe that the mentorship program is an opportunity for spiritual growth and discipleship.
“When I first joined the Parenting Program, I wasn’t going to church or anything, but when I walked in here, I felt welcomed and felt God…I started my relationship with Him and it grew because of HOPE.” Victoria said.
During mentorship sessions, clients often feel that they’re in a safe place to ask spiritual questions and engage in a time of reading Scripture together. Sometimes, as a result, individuals surrender their lives to Christ. This is a vital part and the heart of our program.
MEETING PRACTICAL NEEDS
Clients who are part of the Parenting Program are given the opportunity to earn “Baby Bucks” as a way of acquiring supplies such as diapers, wipes, and formula. Upon completion of educational modules on Bright Course, some clients are eligible to obtain cribs, car seats, and more. Program participants are able to use their “Baby Bucks” for
significant discounts on clothing and nursery items at Seeds Thrift Boutique.
“Is there anything particularly valuable you find about our parenting program?” Amy inquired of Victoria, to which she happily exclaimed, “Everything! We’re never in need and never go without, thanks to The HOPE Center.”
“The resources we provide and the relationships we build with our clients are life-changing. We provide an atmosphere of security and acceptance, rooted in the Gospel. Often the clients have special circumstances for which they need assistance, such as low income, housing issues, education, need for work, etc. We strive to provide resources and support that empower clients to become self-sustaining by the end of their program participation. Clients who participate in our program often have a similar positive sentiment as it relates to their mentors, many times one conveyed through tears of gratitude.” Debbie pointed out.
The impact of our program is not only enriching to our clients and families, but also to our volunteers. Many women come in with fear and confusion, but leave with a sense of peace and hope. It has been expressed by volunteer mentors that it is a sincere privilege to walk alongside our clients and watch them grow into confident, loving mothers.
Options Medical ATL Mobile Meeting
Clients in Their Most Critical Hour of Need
By Erin Boggs, Mobile Operations Coordinator
The Options Medical ATL Mobile team, formerly Image Clear Ultrasound Atlanta, would like to thank you for your continued support and prayers for the Atlanta communities we serve. Your support has allowed us to acquire a beautiful new Medical Mobile unit that will better suit our needs going forward. This has been a remarkable
year of the Lord blessing this ministry. We have been given favor within the communities at each of our locations beyond anything we could have dreamed.
It has been an honor to become a part of these tight-knit communities. We now have local store employees telling anyone buying a pregnancy test
(L to R) Torie, Erin, Evette, Krista, and Maria
to “just go see the girls on the Mobile!” When God’s favor is present, doors open, chains break, and lives are changed. We have experienced this reality first-hand in the communities we’ve become a part of.
NEW LOCATION
We are excited to announce that we were able to hire a sonographer and advocate to run our new Wednesday location! After much prayer and consideration, we decided the best location would be in a busy shopping center across the street from Planned Parenthood near the Atlanta Perimeter. Our sonographer, Evette, and our advocate, Maria, are both doing a fantastic job connecting with the community they serve. Maria is a wonderful asset, as she is our Spanish-speaking advocate, making it possible for us to broaden our reach to more patients in need of our services.
OUTREACH INFORMATION
We have continued to serve the west side of Atlanta every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with each of these locations growing exponentially in client volume. We are fully booked every day, and still find time to take walk-ins. Thursday’s location is conveniently located near multiple colleges and universities, making it possible to expand our reach to even more women in need. We consistently serve students and staff from Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Emory, Clark Atlanta, Spelman, Morehouse, SCAD, and many technology and trade schools. In each location we have been able to make meaningful connections with local merchants, restaurant staff, and even our neighbors living on the streets.
TESTIMONY
We recently had a young lady come visit us who was planning to abort her pregnancy. She revealed that she had been in a horrible car accident in which her vehicle was struck by a transfer truck. Tragically, all four of her children were in the car. With tears in her eyes, we listened as she shared her testimony with us. Upon collision, she had lost consciousness. When she awoke, she saw her three-year-old baby boy in critical condition in the car, and her oldest daughter on the ground outside the car. Her oldest daughter could not move, having several broken bones and internal injuries. The paramedics were on scene and began to transport the children to the ER as one of her daughters, who lost her leg, had to be life-flighted to the ER as well. As they took our client to hospital, she saw a man holding her oldest daughter’s hand and talking to her while she lay on the ground. She said she was focused on her threeyear-old because she knew he was injured badly.
After all was said and done, she lost her oldest daughter and youngest son. Miraculously, one of her children only had glass wounds on her foot. The mother felt deep guilt about not being able to say goodbye to her oldest daughter as she lost her life. After this woman shared her story, the Lord took over our conversation. We prayed and cried. During our time together, we saw a weight lift off of her. She was still undecided about what to do with this current pregnancy due to the fear and grief she was sinking under. We scheduled her to come back and continued to pray for her until her next visit.
REVIVAL
The follow up visit was miraculous. She came inside the Mobile smiling, and even looked different. We asked on a scale of one to ten what kind of day she was having, and with joy she replied, a nine. She
then shared that after she left the Mobile two weeks prior, she wept the entire way home as she cried out to the Lord. That day on the Mobile changed her entire life. Our client went home, cleared out a corner in her room, and put scriptures all over the wall along with a white board. This space is now dedicated to prayer – her prayer corner. She had been spending time there every morning, and was writing all her prayers and revelations on the white board daily.
Only God works in these ways. This community outreach has become a ministry outside the Mobile we did not expect.
For the first time in years, she went to church and stated that she actually heard and understood the message. Her joy and peace were palpable. In just two weeks, God had transformed her life and heart so drastically that each of her children told her they loved “her new vibe.” The family felt God’s presence as generational changes were at work! She even said that the kids running everywhere did not overwhelm her, she just felt peace. She received freedom in the interaction and came back with a new creation outlook. Not only did she choose to parent her preborn baby, but planned on telling her children the news that night. She was so excited to show them the ultrasound pictures and surprise them with the news of their newest sibling. She excitedly enrolled in the Parenting Program, leaving us in awe of the wonderful, beautiful ways God works.
GOD’S FAVOR IN THE COMMUNITY
Over the last year and a half, we have gotten to know the homeless community in each location we serve. Each location has a different climate and
tone, but the Lord has allowed us to speak into each individual community. Last November, before the chill of winter set in, we asked what they most needed so that we could pray.
Overwhelmingly, they needed coats, gloves, and blankets. That very same day, a group that had no ties to The HOPE Center wanted to give to a local nonprofit in Woodstock. They had just had a coat drive and wanted to donate over 450 coats and blankets. The HOPE Center was the ministry they chose. The nonprofit dropped off several truckloads of blankets and coats the very next morning! The very provision we had just been told the homeless desperately needed was taken care of within hours, with no requests of these needs being sent out to the public.
Only God works in these ways. This community outreach has become a ministry outside the Mobile we did not expect.
We have a partner in a wonderful woman, Terry (a former Seeds volunteer), that brings bags of supplies and food for the Atlanta communities we serve. These communities love and appreciate Ms. Terry greatly. Seeds personnel and The HOPE Center staff have contributed greatly as well. Bookbags, clothing, and brand-new shoes for the children are just a few examples.
ESTABLISHED IN COMMUNITIES
The Lord has allowed us to see and serve every client on the Mobile as well as serve those on the outside in these communities. We have had many clients ask how they can help after seeing the interactions with the unhoused. Just recently, we had a client waiting to come on the Mobile while we finished up with the current client. We had a knock on the door from a family that stated “We were told to come see Ms. E for help.” I responded by saying “I assume that’s me, as my name is Erin.” We handed out the supplies and ushered our next client onto the Mobile.
This client had watched the interactions and said “Wow, you have a nickname here, that’s a big deal!” She was touched and said it inspired her to step in and ponder how she could help her community as well. Favor follows God’s will.
I recently had a total hip replacement and was out for a month. While out in recovery, Torie was driving the Mobile and had a man flag her down in the middle of midtown and yell, “How is she doing after surgery?” She didn’t recognize him specifically, but knew it was one of those “nameless, faceless” we now call family.
A FINAL THANK YOU
Because of your support, we have had an amazing number of enrollments into the Parenting Program, as well as our new male mentoring program, Men of HOPE. Sylvia, our lead advocate/mentor, has been indispensable in walking with these moms and dads as they navigate through the pregnancies, as has
our Men’s Services Coordinator, Javan. They have done an amazing job with the influx of clients that need support. We are proud of the Parenting Program growth and look forward to this next season as we continue to grow and expand.
It is hard to put into words the impact your support and prayers are having in Atlanta. We understand that every interaction is an opportunity to leave the environment better than we found it, and to be honest, the community has taken us in and made us family. Torie, Evette, Maria, and I are in awe of all the Lord has done in one year. We have seen the power of God’s love daily. As we continue forward we want you to know that we are humbled by your unwavering support. Our mission is lives saved, rescued, and redeemed. That heart posture has opened the floodgates of heaven over our little spots in Atlanta that we love deeply.
My high-risk pregnancy could have turned out much di erently. Without the experience and care I received at Cherokee Women’s Health, my little boy would not be the thriving little bundle of joy he is right now!
At Cherokee Women’s, we celebrate the miracle of LIFE. Having safely delivered thousands of babies, you can count on us throughout your pregnancy journey.
Fathers Are the Foundation
By Megan McClary, Communications Manager, and Javan Hart, Men’s Services Coordinator
At The HOPE Center, our Men of HOPE Fatherhood Program exists to be a light to families by educating men to become great fathers. We offer practical support to fathers by encouraging them to work through the trauma they’ve experienced in their lives while stepping up to the responsibility fatherhood requires.
We do this in a few different ways: building community among families at The HOPE Center through events, and our parenting program. In the past year, we have been able to give our Fatherhood Program new wings, as we have hired our first Men’s Services Coordinator, Javan Hart. Since coming on board, Javan has played an integral role in shaping our approach to walking alongside fathers in need. He has brought fresh vision and excitement, and has executed two amazing events!
Josue, Camilo, and Jacob, Client Mentor
WHAT MAKES OUR FATHERHOOD PROGRAM SO VALUABLE?
Our Parenting Program, including hands-on mentorship, is one of the most valuable things we do here at The HOPE Center. Last year, we were blessed to connect with Josue after he and his partner Victoria chose life for their baby, Camilo. Since then, Josue and Victoria have become faithful participants in our parenting program, earning baby bucks, completing parenting courses, and working with mentors.
“I love to talk to Jacob, that’s my guy. I am able to talk to him and tell him things I don’t tell everyone. I feel like there is trust with us. I always know I am going to receive great advice that is trustworthy.” Josue had to say about his mentor, Jacob. “The HOPE Center helps me and never judges me.” Josue continued.
Building trust among program participants is a key principle in the success of our mentorship relationships. It is one of the primary avenues by which we make real, lasting impact in the lives of families in our clinic.
“The HOPE Center has impacted us as a family in the ways it has helped us have the connection we have today. It’s brought us a lot closer to each other.” Josue shared.
“The Fatherhood Program is important because I believe fathers are the foundation of a family, and families are the foundation of society,” Jacob shared. “Without fathers, it’s proven that societies fall apart. This is why we need more families where fathers are taking their responsibilities seriously.”
According to The National Center for Fathering and The Fatherless Generation, 85% of youth in prison come from fatherless homes, 90% of runaway youth come from fatherless homes, 71% of high school
dropouts come from fatherless homes, and finally, 65% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes. These statistics tell us that where there is community support, there is higher likelihood for individuals to lead successful, thriving lives. That’s why we aim to be a support to our families in the most pragmatic way possible.
PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
We are delighted to share information with you about the growth of our Fatherhood Program. Thus far in 2024 we have had 20 men enrolled in the program, ranging from 15-30 years old. We have six male mentors meeting with fathers every week, and we’ve been able to advocate on behalf of 60 men through Options Medical Clinic since January. In addition, we’ve hosted two successful events where program participants and their families and mentors came together for a time of fellowship. We had an amazing Superbowl Party in February and a Day in the Park in celebration of Father’s Day in June.
Every day, we get to see first-hand the way life decisions impact families. Our Fatherhood Program makes it possible to continue navigating life’s ups and downs with program participants.
“Before having my son, I thought differently, but now that I have him, I put him first in everything.” Josue had to share about his son Camilo.
Fathers like Josue are the reason children like Camilo will grow up to know they are loved, treasured, and immensely valuable. Supportive people like Jacob help add fuel to Josue’s fire when life’s challenges come his way. We are honored to continue getting to play a role like this in the lives of Josue, Victoria, and Camilo.

How Ultrasounds Save Babies’ Lives
At The HOPE Center, we are committed to providing comprehensive care and support to women facing unexpected pregnancies. One of the most powerful tools we offer is the ultrasound, which regularly saves babies’ lives by providing crucial information and emotional connection for expectant mothers.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ULTRASOUNDS
Ultrasounds are a vital part of our services at The HOPE Center. They offer a real-time look at the developing baby, providing essential medical information and fostering a bond between the mother and her child. For many women considering
abortion, an ultrasound can be a pivotal moment that influences their decision.
MEDICAL INFORMATION AND CLARITY
Ultrasounds provide critical medical information that can impact a woman’s decision-making process. By confirming the pregnancy’s viability, determining the gestational age, and checking for any potential complications, ultrasounds give women a clearer picture of their situation. This information is vital for women who might be uncertain about their pregnancy and considering abortion.
EMOTIONAL CONNECTION
Seeing the baby on the ultrasound screen often creates an emotional connection that can profoundly affect a woman’s choice to continue her pregnancy. The visual and auditory experience of seeing their baby’s heartbeat and movements makes the pregnancy more tangible and real. This emotional bond can lead many women to reconsider their decision to have an abortion.
REAL-LIFE IMPACT
At The HOPE Center, we have witnessed countless stories of women whose decisions were changed after seeing their baby on an ultrasound. We regularly see our clients come in planning to terminate their pregnancies. However, after seeing their babies’ heartbeat and tiny movements on the ultrasound screen, they often feel an overwhelming sense of love and connection. They choose to continue their pregnancy, and many are now proud mothers who are grateful for the support they received.
EMPOWERING WOMEN WITH INFORMATION
Our goal at The HOPE Center is to empower women with accurate information and compassionate support. We believe that every woman has the right to make an informed decision about her pregnancy. Ultrasounds are a key part of this process, providing clarity and fostering that emotional bond.
COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT
In addition to providing ultrasounds, The HOPE Center offers a range of services to support women throughout their pregnancy journey. From childbirth preparation and parenting classes to material assistance and mentoring, we are dedicated to helping women make informed choices and providing the resources they need to thrive when facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Seeds Thrift Boutique More Than A Shopping Experience
By Jessica Smith, Seeds Sales Associate
A cheerful voice rings out, “Good morning, welcome in!” as you swing open the door to Seeds Thrift Boutique and step into the unique shopping experience that is our store. You will not only be greeted by staff and volunteers, you’ll also find treasures beyond the physical thing you have been seeking.
Seeds is a one of a kind shopping experience. We love introducing our customers to fresh styles and new perspectives. It’s a place where you can find an affordable new outfit and receive godly encouragement all in one stop. A current customer told a Sales Associate recently, “I come to Seeds when I need a quiet place to de-stress, even when I
don’t want to buy anything. It’s peaceful here, and I always leave encouraged by your words and prayers.” This statement embodies what we do at Seeds Thrift Boutique. We value each person who walks through the door, we engage the costumers where they are, we love, encourage, and pray for anyone in need that day.
Seeds Thrift Boutique is an extension of The HOPE Center, bringing hope to the entire community that shops in our store. Seeds offers selections for parents using their Baby Bucks (store credit earned by taking The HOPE Center’s parenting classes), the retired group of ladies out enjoying time together, an avid thrifter out looking for hidden treasure at a great price, and teens shopping for the latest trends and
that little something to set them apart from their friends. Whomever the shopper may be, we have what they’re looking for. Clothing is priced to value so that everyone can shop and find the perfect addition to their wardrobe.
Seeds Thrift Boutique first began as a small “seed” in 2007, as a baby store where the mothers who were a part of the parenting program at The HOPE Center could shop for their baby’s needs. Over the past 17 years, that small “seed” has been nourished, watered, and cared for by The HOPE Center, and has grown into the beautiful boutique that it is today. We now not only have a large nursery and kids’ area, but also offer kitchenware, home decor, wall art, antiques, brand new and used furniture, books, jewelry, handbags, clothing for the whole family, and just about everything in between.
Seeds has flourished because of the love and support from countless volunteers, board members, staff, and the community that daily provides donations. Our
store could not be a success without the consistent investment of time and energy from these people. If you are looking for a way to help our ministry grow, Seeds Thrift Boutique has an opportunity for you! We welcome you to partner with us in one of these ways:
• Volunteering on a regular basis. This allows the store to maintain our high standards, efficient systems, and beautiful environment, all while keeping expenses low.
• Donating your lightly used and new items. This gives our boutique the ability to offer our customers a wide variety of top-notch merchandise.
• Last but not least, shopping in our store. This creates revenue that saves and changes lives!
Shopping at Seeds Thrift Boutique is an investment in LIFE and the perfect way to live out The HOPE Center’s vision statement: Every life is valued, and families thrive in the love of Christ.
A Partnership Toward Greater Impact
By Sandi Welborn, Community Care Coordinator
At The HOPE Center, we are profoundly grateful for the invaluable support and involvement of local churches in our ministry. Churches play a pivotal role in extending our reach and enhancing our impact, allowing us to serve more individuals and families in need. Here’s a brief glimpse into the importance of church involvement in our mission and how this can be enhanced to further our collective efforts.
THE ROLE OF CHURCHES IN THE HOPE CENTER’S MISSION
Churches are more than just places of worship; they are pillars of the community, providing spiritual guidance, emotional support, and
practical assistance to those in need. At The HOPE Center, we see churches as vital partners in our mission to offer hope, support, and resources to women and families facing unexpected pregnancies.
The involvement of churches in our ministry has been helpful in many ways. From organizing fundraising events and donation drives to offering prayer support and volunteering, churches have consistently demonstrated their commitment to our ministry. Their support helps us provide essential services such as pregnancy testing and ultrasound, parenting classes, material assistance, and post-abortion healing.

CELEBRATING THE IMPACT OF CHURCH INVOLVEMENT
We have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of church involvement in our ministry. For instance, several churches have hosted baby showers, collecting much-needed items like diapers, clothing, and baby supplies for our clients. Others have organized educational workshops and seminars, equipping our clients with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate their journeys confidently.
One of the most significant contributions from churches has been the provision of volunteers. Many of our volunteers come from local congregations, bringing with them a heart for service and a desire to make a difference. These volunteers assist with everything from administrative tasks to counseling and mentoring, ensuring that we can offer comprehensive and personalized support to each client.
Additionally, churches have played a crucial role in raising awareness about our services within the community. By sharing information about The HOPE Center through sermons, bulletins, and social
media, churches help us reach more individuals who may benefit from our support. This outreach is vital in ensuring that no one in need feels alone or unsupported.
A CALL TO ACTION: HOW CHURCHES CAN GET MORE INVOLVED
We deeply appreciate the contributions of our partnering churches. At the same time, there is always room for more involvement. Here are some ways churches can further support The HOPE Center’s mission:
• Host Fundraising Events: Organize events such as bake sales, charity runs, or Baby Bottle Boomerangs to raise funds for our programs and services.
• Volunteer: Encourage congregation members to volunteer their time and skills at The HOPE Center. There are numerous opportunities for individuals to get involved, from office support to direct client interactions.
• Prayer Support: Include The HOPE Center in your church’s prayer list. Prayer is powerful
PROUD SPONSOR OF THE HOPE CENTER
and can provide the spiritual support our clients and staff need.
• Donation Drives: Organize drives to collect essential items like diapers, formula, baby clothes, and maternity supplies.
• Spread the Word: Use your church’s communication channels to share information about The HOPE Center. The more people who know about our services, the more individuals we can help.
• Educational Workshops: Host workshops or seminars on topics such as parenting, financial literacy, and healthy relationships to equip our clients with valuable knowledge.
• Participate: Members of local supporting churches are invited to participate in one or both of The HOPE Center’s most important fundraising events of the year – the Walk for
Life held in the spring, and the Annual Banquet held in the fall. These events play a vital role in the funding of our annual budget that helps equip pregnant women to choose life. Participate in the Walk for Life by becoming a Sponsored Walker, and get involved with the Annual Banquet by becoming a Table Host. Learn more about these events by visiting our website – supporthopecenter.com.
The HOPE Center’s partnership with local churches is a testament to the power of community collaboration in making a meaningful impact. We are immensely grateful for the support we have received, and look forward to deepening our partnerships. By working together, we can continue to offer hope, support, and resources to those who need it most. We invite all churches to join us in this vital mission, and explore new ways to get involved. Together, we can make a difference and change lives for the better.

Taylor’s StoryContinued Blessings
By Krista McAuliffe, RN, BSN, FNP-C, Clinic Director
Taylor’s Story was featured in our 2023 magazine as the story of a woman who took the abortion pill, regretted it quickly, and then successfully, with the help of high-dose progesterone (Abortion Pill Reversal), reversed the effects of the abortion pill. This is an update to her story.
Taylor gave birth to her beautiful son last fall. She has faced several challenges since becoming a single mother, including housing. For a while, she rented a townhouse, but with a new baby, being on maternity leave without pay, and eventually needing to pay for childcare, all while being a single mother, much of the responsibility of raising her son fell on her, and something needed to change. She was well established
in the parenting program by the time her son was born, often meeting with her mentor Angie, and sometimes with Amy, our Women’s Services Coordinator.
The HOPE Center and Life Initiatives and Values (LI-V) were able to bridge the gap in rent and childcare for the time she was on a short maternity leave. Amy helped her to evaluate childcare centers that would be both affordable and reputable. During this time, Amy, Sandi, and I worked with her to complete her application for the Serenade Heights Transitional Housing Program.
Serenade Heights is a new partner with The HOPE Center, so it was a celebration when we heard she had been accepted into their program!
Since moving into her townhome with Serenade Heights, it has been an adjustment. She is presently their only fulltime-employed single mom in the program, so juggling work, program requirements, time with her son, and also meeting with her HOPE Center mentor every two weeks, has been challenging. But Taylor has risen to the occasion well! She is continuing to learn where to set healthy boundaries, and how to be the best mom she can be. And we are happy to say that she is rocking motherhood! We enjoy having Taylor in our program, and look forward to supporting Taylor and her son through his second birthday.
God’s Gift
Baby
Bottle Boomerang
The “God’s Gift” baby bottles The HOPE Center distributes to churches and other organizations are a huge blessing to families in the community. They seem small and insignificant, but the checks, bills, and coins dropped into a baby bottle make a huge difference for the women and families served by The HOPE Center.
If your church or group is interested in learning more about saving lives through a Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign, please contact The HOPE Center at 770-924-7990 and ask for Laura Haigler, or email LauraHaigler@hopectr.com.
PRAYER PARTNERS
To date, we have close to 500 intercessors committed to standing with us in real-time when our team meets with an abortion-vulnerable client. The prayers of the righteous avail much, and the power of your prayers have led to lifedecisions, and incredible transformations.

Sources of Support
The HOPE Center continues to be blessed with the Lord’s provision through His people! Throughout the years, we have been able to testify that over 80% of our ministry funding comes through the generosity of individuals like you. In 2023, we saw close to 33% of our annual funding come by way of monthly, Life Champion donors, almost 30% by way of individual donations.
Thanks to incredibly well-supported events like the Annual Banquet and Walk for Life, we exceeded our 2023 funding goals. In addition to all the above, we are also incredibly grateful for our partnering churches. These vital community partners continue to come alongside moms, babies, and families in need by contributing financially, participating in awareness-raising events like Baby Bottle Boomerangs, baby showers, diaper drives, and encouraging volunteers to give of their time and talents as the Lord leads. Because of the Lord’s incredible hand of provision in our ministry, and through the faithful generosity of our donors, we are confidently able to say that The HOPE Center receives no government funding.
