In the Odyssey, upon the arrival to his home, Odysseus was compelled to show his physical prowess by drawing a special bow and sending it through a series of axes in order to prove that he was the real Odysseus. Similarly, our WJCL athletes proved their athleticism by competing and conquering Ludi sports!

Perseus was another hero who was able to defeat the indomitable Medusa, whose gaze caused people to turn to stone, by forcing her to stare at her own reflection
And lastly, to celebrate Rome’s birthday and finish out the week, we had a cake-eating contest and a fundraiser at Panera! Our president, Matthew, and our 2VP, Trevor battled it out to see who was cake-eating champion (cake was hand-crafted by Historian, Anika, and Treasurer, Shilpa!)
We additionally had a cake-making contest and the winner was Addison from Homestead with this beautiful cake!
