A RECLAIMED HISTORY, OUT OF TIME
In the year eighteen-something-something, three women–Métis, Ojibwe, and European Settler, respectively–sit in a trading fort on the shores of a “Reddish River” sipping tea. They contemplate love, politics, power, and their roles in history while “hot nerds” like Louis Riel get all the glory. This sharp-witted satire shifts the focus to the women in the room. The fact that they are name-dropping The Killers and Breakfast at Tiffany’s tips us off that this isn’t your garden variety history lesson.
Anishinaabe and Slovene playwright Frances Koncan’s wildly entertaining take on her subject matter has made this one of the most produced plays in Canada since it rocketed from the Toronto Fringe to the Stratford Festival.
“A timely, provocative piece of theatre written from a perspective and voice we need to hear.”

A CANADIAN CLASSIC BACK AFTER 50 YEARS
At the turn of the 20th century on Prince Edward Island, siblings Matthew and Marilla want to adopt a boy to help on their farm. When Anne arrives – a girl with red braids and a fiery personality – their lives are transformed in unexpected way. The confidence and pluck of ”Anne with an ‘E’” breaks down walls and brings her adopted community of Avonlea to life. With its timeless themes of belonging, resilience, and the power of imagination, this cherished Canadian musical continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
In 1975, this was “Western Canada Theatre Company’s” first mainstage musical. Valerie Easton, who played Anne in that show, will be returning as choreographer for this 50th anniversary production.
“A piece of Canadian history that is absolutely beautiful.”

AN ENDURING STORY OF HOPE AMIDST THE AIDS PANDEMIC
In 1991, the most famous princess in the world made a visit to Casey House in Toronto, Canada’s first free-standing AIDS hospice. In a time of fear and division, Princess Diana’s historic visit shattered stigma and brought dignity to those living with the disease. This play is filled with humour and heart and shines a light on the people who choose compassion over division, and the caregivers who allow us to feel hope and belonging even in the darkest of times.
Nick Green’s play won the Toronto Theatre Critics Choice Award for Best New Canadian play in 2024. It’s meaningful and relevant and reminds us of the transformative power of live theatre.

A FARCE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CAN’T SAY NO
As the Second World War is coming to a close, and the soldiers are returning home, Lucy finds herself in a pickle: she is engaged to three of them and they’re all arriving on the same day. To make matters worse, she’s just spent the last of her savings on a charming door-to-door salesmen and her sister-slash-roommate has lost her job. With their prickly new landlord threatening to evict them, can she learn to set some healthy boundaries - perhaps even find true love before everything falls apart?
Slamming doors, mistaken identities, and a pair of loveable female leads make this new Canadian farce by former-Kamloopsian, Holly Lewis, an instant classic.
“… a fast paced farce of the highest order.”

A STORY OF BELONGING THAT SPANS GENERATIONS
When Kevin receives an unexpected phone call asking him to write a play about Hakka-Chinese culture, he embarks on an unexpected, urgent, and uplifting journey. Kevin discovers a sweeping tale that began centuries ago in China, and leads Kevin to surprising discoveries about his family, his culture, and Canadian history. Benevolence traces the Hakka peoples' search for safety and home in Canada, and the enduring bonds that connect them across oceans and generations.
With curiosity and humour, Wong invites us to uncover fascinating stories from Canada's past and present. This play is part of a Dora Award-winning series of artistic projects, including a documentary film and an art installation.
“A powerful representation of intergenerational connections and divides.” – INTERMISSION MAGAZINE

A HALF-CENTURY OF MARRIAGE IN MEMORIES
Fifty years after they mistakenly spent their wedding night at a lakeside cottage, Glen and Sandy Golden return once again to the place they’ve revisited for decades of anniversaries. Despite their recent separation, they are able to come together to share conflicting memories of the joy, heartbreak, love, and complexity that come with five decades of marriage. Through their eyes we witness a family grow and change, drift apart and come together.
This heartwarming comedy–from the writer of The New Canadian Curling C lub and The Birds and the Bees takes us on a journey through time, accompanied by the music and milestones of each era.

A TRANSFORMATIVE INDIGENOUS THRILLER
In the near future, in an invented Indigenous territory, five young women – Rebel, Leader, Brawn Wildcard, and Skeptic – are drawn by a shared dream to the hunting grounds, where they uncover mysterious tracks that challenge their skills and the group’s fragile unity. How does the creature manifest within and how do we track, hunt, and transform it?
Raised locally, the playwright drew inspiration from hunting deer with her father in the nearby T’Kemlúps area. The world premiere of this gripping one-act thriller – presented in-the-round – explores internalized trauma, the knowledge and power of Indigenous women, and the process of healing.
"A winning, thoughtful exercise in storytelling." – THE GLOBE AND MAIL
