A Groovy Getaway

A VINTAGE CONDO REVIVAL WITH CINDY HALL

When W+M agent Cindy Hall stumbled across a dated studio condo in Dillon, Colorado, she saw more than old cabinets and mirrored walls—she saw potential. “I’ve always had a love for design elements that elicit a certain feeling,” she says. “The goal was to blend that cozy ski chalet vibe with modern touches—a funky, retro blast from the past.”

What followed was a bold, budget-conscious renovation that turned a tired unit into a vibrant and rentable gem affectionately dubbed The Bob Dillon. With just over $12K (and plenty of late nights), this glow-up proves that with creativity, strategy, and a little help from handy friends, big change doesn’t have to mean a big budget.

“I found this project to be really approachable,” she shares. “Some paint, some vision, and a few extra trips to the hardware store can go a long way.” The kitchen showcases original vintage charm—like the sunny yellow countertops and existing tile, now refreshed with paint—blended seamlessly with bold new touches. Think playful furniture, peel-and-stick backsplash, and a statement ceiling in Jade Romanesque green that ties it all together in a groovy new era.

Rather than demoing dated features, she leaned into their charm. “Even the bathroom tile isn’t new—it’s just painted!” And the floor-to-ceiling mirrors? They reflect Lake Dillon from the bed. “That could’ve been missed if I hadn’t lived in the space for a bit.”

When asked what she loves most about the finished product, she lights up: “The reaction of friends and guests who visit The Bob Dillon. It’s more appreciated than I ever imagined.”

KITCHEN CHRONICLES From 1920 Time Capsule to Cozy Culinary Haven

When W+M agent Angela Spangler and her partner, Nick, took on their 1920 home, they weren’t just renovating—they were uncovering history. What started as a pandemic project for Nick in 2020 turned into nearly five years of trial, error, and a whole lot of YouTube tutorials. Now, at 99% completion, their kitchen is the crowning jewel of their DIY adventure.

“We loved the charm of the home, but it just wasn’t functional,” Angela shares. “Now, it fits our lifestyle perfectly—cooking, entertaining, and cozying up on snowy days.”

This wasn’t just a cabinet swap. Before the kitchen transformation could even begin, they tackled plumbing, electrical, and structural fixes—bumping the difficulty scale to an 8 out of 10. Their biggest surprise? The original insulation was newspaper from December 1920, offering a peek into the past before they vaulted the ceilings and added skylights. “We hadn’t even considered it until after the asbestos abatement, but once we saw the potential, we couldn’t resist.”

The DIY Details: Nearly every inch of the space was a hands-on effort, from the custom-built floating shelves to the dining nook made from a live-edge walnut slab. Their boldest design choice? The deep green island, a perfect contrast to the warm wood tones and quartz countertops. “For once, this project didn’t hit us with any jaw-dropping disasters,” Nick jokes.

Lessons from the Remodel Trenches: Nick, a seasoned DIYer, offers some wisdom: “Add 20% to your budget, increase your timeline by 30%, and always use the right tools—unless you want to stare at your mistakes daily.”

The Finished Space: With triple the storage, a pot filler for convenience, and a space designed for gathering, their kitchen is now both beautiful and functional. “This is exactly what I envisioned—well, minus the vaulted ceiling. That was a happy accident,” Angela laughs.

As for what’s next? Nick’s love for renovation has turned into a business—Kozee Home Improvements LLC—so the projects are far from over. But for now, they’re finally kicking

back and enjoying the home they built, one unexpected twist at a time. Check out Kozee Home Improvements LLC at www.kozeehomes.com

The Wolf Den

A SHED TRANSFORMED INTO A CREATIVE SANCTUARY

JEN SICKLES + REMUS IONESCU

What started as a simple backyard shed is now a hub of creativity, craftsmanship, and storytelling. For W+M agent Carla Salcedo’s clients, Jen Sickles and Remus Ionescu— woodworkers with a passion for intentional design—the goal wasn’t just to build a workspace; it was to create an inspiring sanctuary.

“The Wolf Den started out of necessity—we needed a dedicated space to work,” Jen shares. “But it quickly became something more: a place where craftsmanship and creativity could thrive.”

Over two weeks, Jen and Remus transformed the 8’x12’ structure, insulating the walls, installing custom wood panels, and integrating reclaimed materials to add character. The result? A fully functional workshop where modern tools meet traditional techniques.

“One of the best surprises was how much we enjoyed working with reclaimed materials,” Jen recalls. “We found these incredible late-19th-century pantry cabinets in an alley and knew they had to be part of the space.” The CNC table, crafted from old fencing material, is another nod to sustainability— giving new purpose to something with a past.

The project wasn’t without its challenges. “We ran over budget thanks to a spray insulation mishap, but in the end, it gave us better temperature and sound control—so it was a win,” Jen admits. And while this wasn’t a beginner-friendly build, she

encourages others to create spaces that reflect their own style and vision. “A workshop isn’t just about function—it should inspire you every time you step inside.”

From its Dover Gray exterior to the Chimichurri-green accents inside, every detail of the Wolf Den tells a story—including custom wood panels engraved with designs reminiscent of etchings in school desks. “It’s not just a place to work,” Jen says. “It’s a reflection of our journey, built with history, heart, and a little bit of sawdust in every corner.” Keep up with Jen + Remus and their handcrafted creations at brasswolfworkshop.com/blog.

B ackyard

A Slice of Garden Heaven

When W+M agent Anna Domenico’s client, Marah and her family moved into their home, they knew their dream backyard would include a garden, open space for yard games, and something special that could evolve over time. “We wanted a garden and open space for yard games, and as the kids grew, the jungle gym idea really excited us,” Marah shares. What started as a simple vision soon blossomed into a lush, functional space the whole family could enjoy together.

Working with the space they had, Marah and her partner, Matt, got to work on their backyard project—despite being beginners in the gardening world. “Matt built one garden bed before this at our last house, and I grew up with some gardening knowledge,” Marah admits. The couple leaned on their creativity and helpful neighbors and friends to build their dream backyard step by step.

The project, which took about three years to complete, was a true labor of love. “We have been working on the yard slowly for three years,” says Marah. “We allocated about $10,000 for the garden, sauna, and jungle gym, with the sauna taking up most of the budget. We probably went a little over budget buying new plants each year, but it’s totally worth it—we get so much enjoyment out of our gardening hobby.”

One of the most rewarding aspects of the transformation? The sense of community and the help they received along the way. “Neighbors and friends with different expertises helped with digging post holes, carrying concrete, building the sauna, and putting the roof on the jungle gym,” Marah recalls. “We moved in during the pandemic with a newborn, and that year was quite isolating. Having people help and spend time with us in our yard was especially enjoyable when that was safe for everyone.”

MARAH + MATT
PHOTOGRAPHY BY MERNE JUDSON III

As for Marah’s favorite part of the project? It’s simple. “We love being in the garden as a family. It’s a dream come true to harvest tomatoes and strawberries with the kids and to be outside together.”

The materials used in the backyard are just as thoughtful as the project itself. The table and benches are from West Elm, the “mud kitchen” in the jungle gym was made with materials from ReStore, and most of the wood came from Front Range Lumber.

Marah’s advice for anyone starting a similar project?

“Invest in water-wise plants and look into plants that grow well in Denver. The Denver Botanic Gardens is a great place to find inspiration. And lean on your community.

We’ve exchanged skills with our neighbors, and it’s helped us build great relationships.”

What began as a daunting list of tasks evolved into a passion project that has brought the family closer together.

“When we first moved in, the projects seemed daunting. Now, gardening feels like a hobby—a labor of love,” Marah reflects. “It’s still a work in progress, but we enjoy it so much, and we’re excited for what’s next.”

If one word could describe Marah’s backyard transformation, it would be Bliss.

Became a Home The House that

When W+M agent Anne Collins’ clients, Rob + Jenn Bennett, purchased their home five years ago, they saw beyond the wear and tear of its rental years. Originally built in 2005, with an addition in 2012, the home had strong bones but needed some attention to bring cohesion to its various updates over the years.

“It just needed some love,” they said. Their vision was threefold: refresh the worn areas like bathrooms and flooring, create a more unified design between the original home and the addition, and transform the lower-level entry into a welcoming, functional space for both daily life and entertaining.

Since they were touching so many areas of the home, they knew professional guidance was essential. Designer Katie Becker helped them refine their style, ensuring consistent materials and finishes throughout, while contractor Richard Hedley and his team managed the execution. “Working with a designer was key,” they shared. “Her detailed plans and material selections allowed the contractor to provide an accurate estimate and kept the project on track.”

As the renovation progressed, their original scope expanded. Rather than taking on multiple projects over the years, they decided to complete as much of their wishlist as possible while the experts were already on-site. “We wound up replacing countertops and painting the kitchen island while we had the materials and tradespeople available,” they explained.

We love spending time here & hosting friends and family— it works so well for bringing everyone together.”

Now, the home finally reflects their lifestyle and tastes. Rob’s favorite transformation? The mudroom-turned-entryway. “It’s amazing how removing a half-wall and adding cabinetry totally transformed the space—both in look and functionality.” For Jenn, it’s the built-in bookcases in the lower-level den. “This all started because I ran out of space for my book collection,” she laughed. “Now, we have a beautiful focal point that completely changed how we use the room.”

Looking back, they’re grateful they took the leap when they did. “Instead of waiting for the ‘right time’ to make these updates, we get to enjoy them now,” they said. “We love spending time here and hosting friends and family—it works so well for bringing everyone together.”

MERMAID TILE & Modern Vibes

When W+M agent Bev Marsh decided it was time to give her longtime townhome a facelift, she had one goal in mind—lighten, brighten, and bring it back to life. “After 17 years, including a decade as a rental, it was ready for a glow-up,” she says. And with her daughter moving back in post-college, the timing was perfect.

Calling in the expertise of Harmonious Mountain Renovations, led by Natasha Fox, Bev had a vision, and Natasha helped make it a reality. “She suggested things I hadn’t even thought of,” Bev shares. “At the end of the day, I was so happy to partner with a great renovation company.”

While the project was mostly straightforward, a few surprises popped up along the way— including the discovery of the perfect mermaid tile, which quickly became the star of both the fireplace and kitchen backsplash. “We are in love with it,” Bev laughs.

Of course, no renovation comes without a few budgetary twists. “I didn’t realize how expensive flooring was,” she admits. “But I didn’t want the cheap stuff since I don’t plan on replacing it for another 20 years.” And while new backsplash and lighting weren’t originally in the plan, they became must-haves as the project evolved.

The fi nal result? A stunning, airy kitchen featuring Tradewinds blue cabinets (Sherwin-Williams), Valor Gold Quartz countertops, and gold hardware that perfectly ties it all together.

“We found a great remnant piece for the counters, which saved us some money,” Bev adds. And with new flooring from Carpet Direct and stylish tile from Floor & Décor, the entire space feels fresh and modern.

So, what’s her advice for anyone tackling a similar renovation? “Hire a professional!” she says without hesitation. And if she had to sum up the whole transformation in one phrase? “Kitchen Glow-Up—Mermaid Style!”

A Bathroom Refresh by NeuHaus Remodeling

Owner of NeuHaus Remodeling, Tim recently completed a stunning bathroom remodel for West and Main CEO + Co-founder Stacie Staub. With his unique approach to renovation— what one client has dubbed 'construction therapy'—Tim brought Stacie’s vision to life with a perfect balance of creativity and functionality.

NeuHaus Remodeling may be a relatively new company, but Tim’s diverse background and passion for design and construction have equipped him with the skills to lead with confidence. “I’m a good listener, and I also balance it with the ability to lead and create confidence with decisions,” he shares. This approach made him the perfect match for Stacie, whose ideas for the bathroom were more a spark than a fullyformed vision.

When Tim first saw Stacie’s space, he knew exactly what it could become. “We need to put a big bathtub in front of this window, cut a door in this wall, and make this one gigantic en-suite,” he recalled. From there, the renovation unfolded seamlessly. Together, Stacie and Tim combined her design sensibility with his creative construction process to craft a serene retreat, flooded with natural light and calming details.

Tim’s team played a crucial role in the project’s success. “I’ve been very lucky to find some top-notch people who are willing to collaborate with me,” Tim explains. “There’s no way I could do this without them.”

Looking ahead, Tim hopes to continue blending creativity with construction, much like he did with this project. “What’s important is finding the right match between contractor and customer,” he reflects, underscoring his commitment to personalized service and excellence.

For NeuHaus Remodeling, every project is more than just a renovation—it’s about building lasting relationships and creating spaces that feel like home.

Planted with a Purpose

MONARDA FISTULOSA (WILD BERGAMOT)

This lavender-pink native perennial offers more than just beauty—its fragrant foliage attracts over 20 species of native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Drought-tolerant once established, it thrives in sun or partial shade, adding versatility to any garden.

AGASTACHE (HUMMINGBIRD MINT)

A true Colorado favorite, Agastache brings striking vertical interest (2–4 feet) and an extended bloom season in sunset shades from orange to deep purple. Its anise-scented foliage appeals to the senses and supports hummingbirds, butterflies, and native bees. It’s also highly drought-tolerant.

EPILOBIUM ANGUSTIFOLIUM (FIREWEED)

One of the first plants to return after wildfires, Fireweed sends up vivid magenta-pink spikes (3–5 feet) and transforms in fall with fiery red-orange foliage. It supports native bees and serves as a host plant for several moth species.

These plants not only beautify your space but also support a healthy ecosystem, making them perfect for Colorado gardeners.

SARAH & PETER'S VICTORIAN TRANSFORMATION

A Storied Home Making Magic in a Denver Victorian

Nestled between Denver’s lively Tennyson and Highlands Square districts stands a one-of-a-kind Victorian, one of the "Three Sisters" gracing the block.

Homeowners Sarah + Peter knew from the moment they stepped inside that it was meant to be theirs—a house full of charm, character, and potential. As television producer Sarah, who has worked on shows like Hometown Makeover, and her husband Peter set out to make it their own, they embraced the challenge of renovating while preserving the home’s soul.

A Kitchen Made for Gathering: Cooking isn’t just a necessity for Sarah and Peter—it’s a passion. "We love food, and we love the act of cooking," Sarah shares. But their home’s original kitchen, a tiny galley space accessible through a coat closet, wasn’t exactly built for culinary creativity. Their vision? Double the size, create an inviting prep space, and ensure the heart of their home was designed for gathering.

Deep, moody blue cabinets (a perfect complement to brass hardware from West Elm) anchor the

kitchen’s aesthetic, striking a balance between midcentury modern and timeless elegance. White quartz countertops and backsplash keep things crisp and clean, while speckled glass in the bar cabinets adds a touch of intrigue. Overhead, handmade Art Decoinspired island lights sourced from Etsy cast a warm glow over the space where friends and family now gather for dinner parties.

The renovation wasn’t without its challenges—Sarah was filming on location while Peter was in law school, and the project stretched three months longer than anticipated. "Truthfully, it was exhausting," Sarah laughs, recalling the makeshift kitchen setup in their upstairs landing. But the payoff? Worth it. "Having the space to cook up a storm, to host, to gather— that’s the stuff that makes a house a home."

A Nursery Born from a Dream: For their son's nursery, inspiration struck Sarah in a dream—one so vivid that she woke up knowing exactly what she wanted. "I dreamt of whimsical wallpaper, dark midcentury modern furniture, and a red rug," she says. Since they chose to keep the baby’s gender a surprise, the design steered clear of traditional pinks and blues. Instead, Sarah created a magical, gender-neutral retreat reminiscent of a mystical woodland.

The result? A dreamy, whimsical space full of warmth and love. The wallpaper, a standout find from Etsy, sets the perfect tone, while light fixtures from Anthropologie and West Elm add just the right touch of charm. “Seeing my son in this space brings me so much joy,” Sarah says. “At the end of the day, I just

wanted it to feel comforting, and I truly believe that’s what he feels when he’s in his little cocoon.”

Lessons from the Renovation Journey: Reflecting on their renovation adventure, Sarah shares two key pieces of advice. First, expect delays—"A renovation will always take longer than you plan." And second, stay true to your style—"Design a space that fills your heart and makes you feel at home. Look for those little elements—memories, colors, textures—that bring life to your space. And most importantly, don’t take it too seriously!"

Now, as they continue to settle into Denver life after years in New York City, Sarah + Peter are creating new memories in a home that blends history with their own personal story. It’s elegant, layered, colorful, and, above all, deeply loved.

Mid-Mod Magic

When West + Main agent Doug Yetmans clitens, Scott and Olivia found the one—a striking mid-century modern perched above the Golden/Applewood landscape—they knew they’d struck gold. Designed in 1958 by acclaimed Denver architect William C. Muchow, the home had never changed hands until they purchased it in July 2024. “We fell in love with this house kind of how we fell in love with each other—immediately and intrinsically.” A true time capsule of sleek lines, dual smokestack chimneys, and a not-so-subtle avocado green exterior, it was brimming with potential. They rolled up their sleeves, embraced the challenge, and christened their new masterpiece The Haas Haus.

A Labor of Love: With backgrounds in flooring, construction, design, and production, Scott and Olivia were ready to take on a fullscale renovation while preserving the home’s original charm. Their pièce de résistance? A stunning, floor-to-ceiling walnut-paneled accent wall in the great room, complete with a custom floating console by local wood artisan, Collin Moran of Drumdoo Designs. “We collaborated together to ensure this addition fit seamlessly with the paneling as if it was all born together.”

Challenges + Creativity: Was it easy? Not exactly. They rank the walnut wall install a solid 4 out of 5 on the difficulty scale. It required meticulous planning, precision cuts, and a little help from skilled friends. But their advice for future DIYers? Measure twice, plan ahead, and don’t be afraid to mix wood tones—your floors and wall panels don’t have to match!

The Heart of the Home: Now complete, the wall’s organic presence steals the show, blending seamlessly with oak floors, exposed brick, and soft white paint. "Every time we look at it, we notice a new pattern in the wood grain,” Olivia says. “It’s a piece of art in itself.”

Making the Big Move Abroad

For many, moving abroad is a dream. For W+M agent Jami Alleman, it became reality when she and her husband—who serves in the Navy—relocated to Pozzuoli, Italy, overlooking the Mediterranean. But as romantic as it sounds, navigating visas, housing, and cultural shifts took patience, planning, and a whole lot of flexibility. Here’s what she’s learned along the way!

Jami and her husband, Josh, scored a rare find: a 2-bed, 2-bath rental with sea views, outdoor space, and stunning hand-painted tiles. And living on an active volcano? Just part of the adventure!

JAMI’S ADVICE

While she’s not selling homes in Italy (real estate licensing is tricky), Jami is launching Social MAINiac to help agents manage social media. For those juggling properties in the U.S. while living abroad, her biggest tip? Hire a property manager! Managing rentals from overseas isn’t worth the 2 a.m. emergency calls—let someone else handle the headaches. And when it comes to moving abroad, adaptability and a go-with-the-flow mindset are essential—bureaucracy moves on its own timeline!

THE LOGISTICS

CULTURE SHOCK

Visas take forever – Jami’s took a year, so set your expectations somewhere between “soon” and “maybe someday.” Double your timeline just to be safe.

Rent before you commit – Buying in Italy is a tangled web of rules, and leases last four years. Test-drive the lifestyle first.

Skip the apps, find a human – Realtors, local connections, and Facebook groups will get you further than any app ever will.

Bring your own kitchen – No, really. Many rentals come without appliances… or cabinets. It’s a DIY situation.

Closets? HVAC? Never heard of ’em – Storage is a luxury, and heating/cooling is a creative adventure.

Driving is a free-for-all – If it’s in front of you, it’s your problem. Behind you? Someone else’s problem!

Dogs are VIPs – They go everywhere, even in shopping carts! Adjust accordingly.

CHEAP wine and Pilates – Need we say more?

LOOKOUT LANDING

A Million-Dollar View

Some homes are built for function, some for beauty— but every so often, you find one that embodies both, plus a little magic. Perched high above Golden with an unobstructed view that stretches from downtown to Denver’s skyline, Lookout Landing is an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) that proves small can be truly spectacular.

For W+M agent Michelle Schwinghammer’s dear friend and homeowner Ian Shepphard, the idea started with an odd-shaped piece of land that had always been part of his property but never had a clear purpose. “Something needed to be done with it,” he recalls. “The idea came to me a few years ago, but I wasn’t sure if it would be possible.”

Challenges & Triumphs—This wasn’t a weekend DIY project—far from it. “This was a ground-up custom build, so not something you’d tackle unless you’re a contractor,” Ian admits. He teamed up with Little Home Builder, who worked closely with him on the design, finishings, and construction. “No way I would have been able to do this without them.”

While the project stayed on budget—a rarity in the world of home construction—there was one unexpected holdup. “Excel Energy was the biggest challenge,” he says. “They told us eight weeks for power; it ended up taking closer to 20. The entire thing was built using an extension cord from my house!”

Surprisingly, the neighborhood reception was more welcoming than Ian had anticipated. “I expected pushback, but once my neighbors saw what I was building, they were really supportive. Most didn’t even realize I owned the land until the excavator showed up.”

A Design That Delivers—Lookout Landing is as stylish as it is functional, featuring sleek, neutral tones—except for one bold detail. “I hate choosing colors, but we went with neutrals everywhere except the front door, which is bright red! Heritage Red, to be exact.”

Inside, the thoughtfully designed space maximizes its footprint, offering a seamless blend of comfort and modern aesthetics. The ADU was built with short-term rental potential in mind, and as Ian puts it, “Honestly, Little Home Builder knocked it out of the park. The end product brought my vision to life perfectly.”

Advice for Future ADU Builders—For anyone considering a similar project, Ian offers some key advice: “Know the development regulations for your area and work with your municipality. The City of Golden was great to work with on this.” But perhaps his best decision? Choosing the right builder. “I didn’t go with the lowest bid—I went with the team I trusted. And thank goodness, because the low bidder went bankrupt halfway through another project. That would have been a nightmare.”

A Home with a Name—and a Future. Now officially dubbed Lookout Landing, the ADU is open to friends, family, and shortterm guests via Airbnb and VRBO. “We think it’s a landmark build, and love that you can spot it from downtown Golden or as you head up Lookout Mountain.” With its striking design and unparalleled location, Lookout Landing is poised to be an unforgettable stay for years to come. As Ian sums it up, “One word to describe this project? Satisfying.”

Paneling, Perfected

Paneling has stood the test of time—and for good reason. Originally used to insulate and protect walls, this classic design detail is making a stylish comeback. Whether you're going for modern minimalism or rustic charm, paneling adds instant depth, texture, and character to any room. Bonus: it’s budget-friendly, low-maintenance, and totally DIY-able.

Paneling Styles to Know:

Shiplap: Clean lines and a snug fit—this farmhouse favorite brings warmth and simplicity.

Beadboard: Linear panels with little grooves or “beads” for a clean, classic look.

Wainscoting: Decorative and refined, wainscoting adds structure by covering just part of the wall, usually with molding on top.

Board and Batten: Bold, dimensional, and totally customizable—this one plays with shadow and space.

Raised Paneling: Traditional and elegant, often featuring square or rectangular designs.

Reclaimed Wood: Sustainable and full of soul, this option brings warmth, history, and a rustic touch.

Tips for Paneling Like a Pro:

Clean, splinter-free cuts are a must—measure twice, cut once.

Prep your panels and account for outlets + switches before the nail gun comes out.

Finishes matter! Choose paint, stain, or sealants that enhance your paneling and your overall aesthetic.

For W+M agent Kylie Patten, bathroom remodels are all about high style on a budget. “I love looking at cute bathrooms when scrolling through houses,” she says. “I constantly screenshot ideas and save them for later.”

When it came time to refresh her own bathrooms, Kylie leaned into two eye-catching trends: wallpaper and wood slats. “Wallpaper is an easy way to create a wow factor,” she explains. But she quickly learned that not all wallpaper is created equal. “Some are thin and tear easily, while others are more durable. Since my walls have texture, I used wallpaper glue, spray adhesive, and clear caulk to make sure it would stick long-term.”

She also incorporated wood slats for extra dimension, using one set to update both bathrooms. “They came in walnut with a black backing, but for my darker-themed bathroom, I spray-painted them to match the aesthetic.”

Most of the supplies—wallpaper, shelves, mirrors, and wood slats—came from Amazon, while Habitat ReStore provided brand-new light fixtures and a sink faucet at a fraction of the price. “I’d never changed a faucet before, so I turned to YouTube. The only hiccup? The new one was slightly too big for the existing hole. A quick trip to Home Depot for a diamond drill bit solved that!”

The best part? Each bathroom came in at just $300, proving that with smart sourcing and a little DIY effort, a major style upgrade doesn’t have to come with a major price tag.

“It’s amazing how a few thoughtful updates can completely refresh a space—without breaking the bank!”

A Love Letter to a 1908 Gem

When W+M agent Robert Francis found his 1908 home, it had already been thoughtfully transformed by a skilled general contractor. "He gutted it and rebuilt it with care— from plumbing to electrical to flooring. It was clear he knew exactly what he was doing," Robert says. The craftsmanship was evident in every corner.

The kitchen immediately stood out to Robert, featuring a Thermador six-burner gas range and sleek quartz countertops. "We love the flow of the space—it’s open, warm, and perfect for our lifestyle. And the appliances? We’re not the fancy type, but these are hard to resist."

One of the contractor's standout additions was the 32’ x 15’ redwood deck—now their three-season outdoor living room. “It has recessed lighting, a ceiling fan, and is the perfect spot for grilling, dining, or just relaxing. We use it year-round,” Robert shares.

With thoughtful updates like new solar panels and HVAC, the home combines modern comfort with classic charm. Robert feels grateful to have inherited such a well-built home, and he’s proud of the work the contractor put into it— now they get to enjoy it for years to come.
