President’s Message The Board has been active during the last couple of months looking after a variety of duties and responsibilities, including: 

 

 

Audit & Finance Committee meeting with our auditors, Mintz & Wallace, Chartered Accountants, to discuss their audit of the Club’s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2013. Board meeting on February 19, 2014 to review and approve the Club’s audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2013. Following John Hill’s resignation, the Board elected Robert Haynes to replace John in the role of Club Secretary. Each Chair of a Committee of the Board has prepared a written report that will be included in the Club’s Annual Report. The Board obtained the Club Secretary’s update on the report of the Nominations Committee that he distributed to the Club’s Shareholder Members.

Information about the Members’ Open House scheduled for Sunday April 27 is provided in this edition of the Wascana Chronicle together with confirmation that the Annual General Meeting will be held at the Clubhouse on Monday April 28. Notice of the Annual General Meeting is being mailed out at the time of writing this Message. This formal notice will be included in the Club’s Annual Report for 2013. In view of the significant effort that board members and the General Manager and his staff have invested in producing this 53- page document, I really hope and trust that Members will take this opportunity to read about the Club’s current operations and future plans. I want to emphasize that the Annual Report package being mailed to you will include a proxy form, an official ballot, a ballot envelope and a self-addressed envelope. Please make sure that you retain these items for voting purposes. Detailed instructions on the 2014 voting procedures and timing will be provided on page 30 of the Annual Report.
